This was one of mine and my wife’s favorite places to go. The nachos were amazing. Fish tacos outstanding. A very good and delicious menu. My kids loved to play in the sand before our dinner arrived(on a court that was unoccupied!!). But that’s all gone. Hahana did away with their own menu and now only Pizzelii’s does the cooking with just their menu– pizzas that, for my family, rate far below Dewey’s or Jett’s. So very sorry to see this happen. Hopefully ownership will go back to what they had before, but I’m only one ex-patron.

Awful service! The bartenders are not very good at multi-tasking… One drink at a time! It’s really hard to wanna go back there and drink!

If I could give less than one star, I would. Place has gone downhill over the last few years. The simple answer is the«manager» who is the owners sister, is horrible! No interest in running a successful business. She could not be more clueless. On a recent visit, only one server working and her response was«I only manage the outside«thanks for your concern. Please get rid of her!

This review would have been 4 – 5 stars at this time last year. If you simply want to play volleyball and/or just drink beer, then it remains 4 – 5 stars, which is perhaps the crowd they now want. Only food option is the upscale-fast food pizza from next door at Pizellis. Used to go in nearly once a week, but have only been once since the concept change.

I’ve always loved this place, I went a ton last summer. But my experience this past weekend but them over the top for me. Every year, my company holds a charity event to raise money for Operation Smile.( ) This year we held our event at Hahana Beach where we had a volleyball tournament. We worked with the Hahana Beach management team in putting together drink and pizza specials and also giving us use of 4 courts to play. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and the event went off perfectly! Now, if you have never been, and are in need for some competitive fun, you need to check Hahana out! How can you beat a place that is a bar with 6 sand volleyball courts! –In the Cincinnati area! They have a full bar and you can order Pizzelii pizza(Next door to Hahana Beach) and they will deliver to your table! Oh and the pizza is soo good! I’m already planning my next trip back! Thanks again to everyone at Hahana Beach that made our event possible! :)

Nope. Nope. Nope. So sad that there is no proprietary menu anymore now and they have now combined with Pizzelii. I understand that it’s the same owner but let’s please keep both establishments separate, shall we? Table service for drinks but not food? You’re at my table. Why can’t you write down my food order? Crappy paper plates with silverware? This place is all kinds of confused now. Who do I tip? The kid in the golf cart that drove my food over from next door or the kid that brought us our drinks and didn’t clear my table of my pizza boxes and crappy paper plates. I miss the old Beach. The pizza is great but please stop trying to be convenient for the establishment and go back being what you were. A good, laid back beach themed restaurant. Disappointed.

Only giving one star because no option for zero. Last year came in once a week or so. Used to have great food and a great staff. Not so much anymore. Very disappointing and won’t be back.

They used to have decent bar food, but now they are only serving pizza. Don’t get me wrong the pizza is good, but so disappointed that the menu is completely gone.

Their burgers and garlic fries were full of flavor and overall delicious. I wouldn’t recommend the cuban bites though. It had a fishy aftertaste. I would give 4 stars on food at the time. Their service and low amount of staff during big events drops their star value. Our waitress offered to take our order 10 min before happy hour started but we would not get happy hour prices. Lesson learned, order whenever you can.

I have been coming to Hahana Beach since it opened almost four years ago. I have watched this restaurant change DRAMATICALLY over the course of these years and I must say. it is time for this place to just close down or get new management. First of all… Hahana Beach chose to get rid of it’s kitchen staff all together. They now collaborate with a pizzeria(which is mediocre at best) and that is it. One of the things I loved most about the beach was their menu! But under new management(lack there of I must say and inability to understand running a once profitable business), they have now chose to market themselves as a pizza and beer place(mind you they don’t even make the pizza in house). My last experience a few weeks at Hahana took the pizza over 35 minutes to get to us. As far as staffing is concerned… they now have only bartenders. One of which I held a high regard to for her excellent customer service was a young woman named Krista who again has worked at this establishment when it opened. Krista no longer unfortunately works at Hahana Beach for reasons that I believe are discriminatory. The bartenders that work there now(specifically a young man named Joe) are probably some of the worst bartenders I have ever dealt with. Let me elaborate. A few weeks ago my friends and I came into Hahana to watch a football game and have a few beers. We were first greeted and taken care of by a young lady who was then taken over by Joe. Joe sat on his phone for over 30 minutes before ever approaching any of us(mind you the bar was completely bare as it usually is). When he did finally acknowledge each of us(who were drinking beers and had purposely placed each of our empty beers in front of us to peek some kind of acknowledgment) we were asked if we wanted waters! The manager, who I know to be Katie, is nothing short of a rude unprofessional woman. She too was«working» on this night and saw that we had empty drinks. I distinctly remember her looking right at me, my friends, our empty drinks, talking to Joe, grabbing an entire bottle of wine from the bar, and proceeding elsewhere. Needless to say, I am writing this review for that experience and for the demise of Hahana and its management. Hahana Beach was once one of my favorite restaurants and bars to go to! Their atmosphere now lacks enthusiasm, FOOD, customer service, and more importantly their lack of concern for customers and employees. It is a sad place to walk into and see.

Food is mediocre at best and the crowd can get pretty family oriented which isn’t exactly what I want at a bar. They always have sports on and the beer selection is good with plenty of seating. Summertime is definitely more fun as they have large outdoor space and sand volleyball.

Attended a welcome home party for Gulf War Veteran the other night and was pleasantly surprised. The beer selection was varied and food was better than most bars. The host explained that they were very helpful in helping to plan the event and their kindness was much appreciated.

The best time spent during my first visit to Cincinnati was at Hahana. The bartender on the first floor(outdoors) was very nice, friendly, and quite funny. They had some kind of volleyball league going on that kept it lively and entertaining for visiting folks like myself. I enjoyed their IPA beers and the boys enjoyed their wheat beer. The bar food was mediocre but definitely was satisfying enough to return a second time. They also have an indoors bar with pool tables and extra seating. And even a balcony area outdoors(which wasn’t open when i went).

This is a great place to play sand volleyball! They often have open courts where you can play pick up. Occasionally they have tournaments, so its a good idea to call before going if planning to play pick up. They’ve got good drink specials as well. The staff is friendly; what else can you ask for?

Sand volleyball, good music, great drink specials, and pretty good food. make for a very chill and awesome time at Hahana Beach. My friends and I come here weekly to play volleyball for fun and it is such a good time. They’re open until 2:30am on weekdays, so you know they’re wanting you to come out and have some sandy fun! Make a stop and forget that you’re in Ohio for a few hours and dip your toes in the sand ;)

For sand volleyball and for a hang out with kids this place excels. Unfortunately the dining experience from A to Z is about as bad as you can imagine. Truly terrible food with the only thing we tried being even decent being the burger. I have heard the wings are good(smoked) but have not tried them. Really wish they would significantly upgrade the food but I doubt it as they are pretty crowded due to the volleyball. Oh well!

Brought a group of 30 people here yesterday and was SO impressed. The manager, Katie, had set aside more than enough tables for us and we had a server dedicated to our group, Becca, who ran her butt off all night! Love the indoor/outdoor feel. Had some really good chicken tenders and fries. Wasn’t as impressed with the brisket nachos. Try their house-made orange-pineapple vodka. We enjoyed it so much, we are planning on joining their volleyball league this summer.

Came here one Thursday evening for dinner, a few drinks and some trivia. The waitress were very attentive and there were no complaints about the food. My grilled cheese was especially good! Lots of local beers on tap Good food Great trivia Just a note, you can park in the back. The enterance to the back lot is to the right of the building.

I am not going to mention any names, but we went last night to play some volleyball with friends and every single one of us had a story to tell about the bartender. After my husbands first attempt between games to get us some beers he gave up because he didn’t want to hold up the games any longer and he came back empty handed.(Mind you there was one other person at the bar, the bar tender was too busy slowly opening a wine bottle without a care in the world). On my attempt I experienced the bartender was rude, short with me, and just plain ignorant when telling me, «The specials are the buckets»…Okay well, I am not a regular… what does that mean? «15 for 5!»…Okay no need to get snotty with me. And so on and so forth. Needless to say, we were not happy with the service, and members from our group play in a league at Hahana and they informed us that the particular bartender was there all the time, and was just as rude all of the time. So I guess mostly my review is of the person not the place, but it is definitely deterring me from wanting to go back. Other than that, the volleyball on Tuesdays(non league night) is great and we had a blast playing for hours. We would have had more fun if we were able to get beers easier, but that’s why I am giving Hahana Beach 3 stars, the place in itself is still pretty nice and worth checking out. Hopefully they get a handle on the service situation soon!

The reason I like this place is because it reminds me of a «resort bar» in Minnesota… This is a place where all the guys would come in from their fishing trips, get hammered, play music on the jukebox, and keep getting hammered. Completely out of place, but for some strange reason, it works. Hahana Beach provides the same feeling — open space, sand volleyball courts, big bar, and some specialty drinks. The food isn’t bad — I love the wings: crunch on the outside, but still juicy on the inside. The sauce selection is pretty standard: hot, mild, medium, bbq, etc. They do try to stick to a «beachy» theme of food, so that’s interesting. One downside is that they have Trivia night on Thursdays & it takes over the whole restaurant. The only way to avoid it is to go outside, or not go there on Thursdays(if you aren’t into trivia). Also, they change their hours in the winter(I think the kitchen is open until 10pm during the winter months). This is from their website: New Winter Hours: Thurs — Sun 11am-close Closed Mon — Wed (Getting in voleyball shape) Their wings & sweet potato fries are my most favorite hangover food in this area.
