First Watch

Since First Watch opened on the West Side it has become my 19 year old grandson’s favorite restaurant for breakfast and lunch. He enjoyed the Floridian French Toast on several visits and today he tried and enjoyed the Breakfast Scramble. All of the family really likes their homemade granola. Glad they came to this part of Cincy.

This was the second time I’ve been here and the food and service was great considering how crowded they were. I had waffles with hashbrowns with Orange juice and it was all good. The fresh orange juice is something to talk about. I will definitely come back.

I was pleasantly surprised by our visit here. This is a new location and the layout/​design seems different from other First Watch locations in Cincinnati. This one is much more open and bright. The staff seemed a little harried, but we were well taken care of.
The food was excellent. I had the pumpkin pancake breakfast that came with an apple sausage and some kind of starch I can’t remember now. But I cleared my plate. Abby had an omelette that she also enjoyed a lot. It’s a little expensive for breakfast (about $ 25 for the two of us), but you also get the «sit-​down» experience, and a lot of food. We were quite satisfied.
I’d definitely recommend this place for a brunch or a nice breakfast.

Awesome food. Definitely a step up from the chain restaurants. Good place to meet friends or business breakfast/​lunch. Wish their kids menu had mac and cheese. Service is o.k. My son was starving and once we said something, multiple staff brought out our order.

Surprisingly quick with seating. Service and food were great, chicken quinoa with goat cheese and cherries was terrific!

Word to the wise: on a Friday morning at 9:30, this place was SLAMMED!!!
It is a neighborhood gold mine! I mean I enjoyed it but there was a whole slew of people waiting in line for seats when we were on our way out! That being said, you can have your pick of the prime seats at 8:45. Early gets the omelette I guess.
Service was perfect, especially for as crowded as they were. Kept my water topped up and left me my own coffee pot for self-​service.
I got a chorizo omelette, and shockingly it came with an enormous side of hash browns (I guess I didn’t read past ‘chorizo’, oops) AND English muffin. Needless to say, I couldn’t even come close to finishing, but recommended if you’re needing some serious nutrition to kickstart your day.
On the other hand. You really ought to go with the yogurt/​granola/​fruit crêpe. So much yummier.

Always great food when I go to First Watch. The service was fast and the atmosphere was warm. First Watch may become a Sunday tradition.

I don’t believe any of the single star reviews on this page, the food is amazing you can tell its fresh and the fresh squeezed juice is beyond good it’s rejuvenating, would for sure come back here again

Kris the waitress was Excellent. Everyone needs to eat here Excellent food friendly waitress Kris. Nice place. Warm and Friendly place to be with family and friends. Or just hang out. Love this place. Everyone ask for Kris she wonderful. Love you Kris.

Everything was as expected, the atmosphere was great, people were friendly, and the Breakfast Scramble was delicious!

Awesome food and really good service I had Eggs Ben’s a dick and the Hollandaise was great.

I have never been to ANY First Watch, before trying the new location on the west side (finally, the west side starts getting new restaurants!)
Truth be told, I’m not a lover of breakfast, in general, so if I’m going to like it, it better be awesome. I also have a hard time spending $ 12 on eggs — perspective.
We got right in (my son and I) on a Monday mid-​morning — loved the inside. It’s beautifully decorated. I love that they have an open kitchen.
Our server was awesome throughout our whole experience (helpful, on top of things and had a smile!). I loved the attention to details. (fun creamers, beautiful syrup bottle, coffee urns, beautiful plating, not having to ask for condiments, chalula as the hot sauce choice). I really enjoyed the coffee, too.
My son ordered the Trifecta — chocolate chip pancakes, scrambled eggs and bacon. He LOVED his chocolate chip pancakes (and his hot chocolate!)
I ordered the Key West Crepeggs — this is where the 3 star rating comes in. I just wasn’t impressed with the food. To me, it was just «eh». I thought the potatoes were boring and not seasoned enough. My english muffin was a little hard. There was a lot of avocado in my eggs (yah!) but again, underwhelmed. Again, it wasn’t bad nor did First Watch do anything wrong. In fact, I loved my whole experience except for the food.
I’m sure I’ll be back but it’s not on my «love» list.

Awful. Make sure you use the «no wait app» to check in prior to your arrival. Otherwise you will end up waiting 40 minutes for a table, while watching people who show up after you get seated first.

Oh SO GOOD. I was happy to find a little slice of Portland in Cincinnati. Charming, cozy, hipster atmosphere paired with delicious food with tons of healthy, organic, and local options? Sign me up. I don’t even have a photo of my meal because it was so damn delicious I couldn’t take a break to snap a shot. But I can say that it was incredible (the fresh-​squeezed juice, too!) and the home fries were PERFECTLY cooked!

My kids love this place, so we were excited another one was open. After this experience, however, we will be going to another location. The host was rude and condescending to both customers and employees. I’m not sure if he was the manager, but seemed like it. Our waitress started out nice, but after we sent back eggs Benedict twice (once for overcooked poached eggs. Like hard eggs and again for completely raw eggs) she became argumentative. I finally just didn’t get anything. Husbands over easy eggs were hard as well. I don’t know that the cooks understand how to cook an egg which is a shame in a brunch restaurant.

First Watch never disappoints. Love the text message when your table is ready. Love the décor of the new restaurant. Menu changed up — Belgian waffle was light and fluffy. perfect!

Beyond disappointed with our experience at First Watch this morning. First, our water carafe set empty for over 10 min while our server passed of several times. As the condisation melted away, we saw bits of food (possibly pulp,) inside. We asked another employee to get the manager, since our server was still ignoring us. The manager didn’t seem surprized, and took the carafe and said, «I’ll see what’s going on.» The glasses with contaminated water still were left on the table. While the manager was gone, the server came out with our food, informed me my English muffin is on it’s way, and asked if we needed anything else. We informed her the manager was helping us. We start eating the food. Average at best. A few bites in, my husband then finds a piece of plastic in his food. We have the manager come back out. She offers to comp our meal and make us something new. At this point we don’t trust anything coming out of kitchen. We inform of this, and tell her we just went to leave. We also never got a replacement for the water. We will never go back.

As alway, First Watch lives up to their impeccable reputation with this new place! Go visit Kris, she is, bar none, one of the best waitresses you’ll find and you can’t beat the food!

The place was packed but they seemed to be flipping tables pretty quickly. The food was excellent and the service was great. I have never had a bad experience with any First Watch and this location keep up with all the other locations I have been too. They have amazing pancakes and waffles along with great healthy options.

Went in for the first time on the grand opening to grab a carry out order.
Everything I ordered was perfect including garnishes, utensils, and extra condiments were in the bag.
Very fast carry out service, as well as a very friendly staff! The food was excellent! I had an overall great experience!
I went back in for my second visit I used the no wait app on a busy Saturday morning checked in with the host when I arrived, waited 5 minutes and then was seated!
The waitress was great with helping us with recommendations on what to get! Can’t wait to return soon!
