Updating review and moving to 1 star. Decided to give them a try again and ordered carry out. I clarified on my order 2 times and had the person repeat it back to me over the phone. When I went to pick up the sandwiches, one was right and the other, I saw on the receipt that it said spicy mustard instead of honey mustard, which is what I ordered. I asked the cashier and he confirmed it was spicy mustard and he’d make it again with honey mustard. I was too trusting and didn’t check the sandwich at the restaurant and when I got home, found that the sandwich had regular yellow mustard and not honey mustard. This place used to be so great at getting orders right and just in the past 6 months or so, they have not gotten our order right ONCE. On top of all that, a man walked in and asked where one of their co workers was and that the co-workers mom was calling him to see where he was. The employees at firehouse were talking with him(not quietly) about how they were worried that he may have gotten arrested, etc etc. EXTREMELY inappropriate conversation to be having in front of customers. Something needs to change at this location!

Great food and the atmosphere is very inviting. Only complaint is that you might have to repeat your order, but it’s excusable because I got a new guy

Great food and great service! I know people on here are upset that they welcome you. However, I think it’s cute.

I find it rude when you walk into a restaurant and they yell across the room: «welcome to firehouse». It kills the experience for those trying to eat and relax, and it comes across as insincere. So why do this? Outdated retail management concepts. The Italian sub was decent. Took a long time for them to make.

I’ll go ahead and say that this place is top 3 of my favorite places to eat, but my absolute favorite sandwich place. Here’s why… As soon as you walk in you are greeted by multiple smiling employees — an idea many are trying out but not nailing it like them. The layout of the place needed just a bit more thought as you tend to ‘group’ together around the Drink Factory(not what it’s called but it’s fitting) while in line/getting your beverages filled. Side note — the drink factory… very cool concept to keep things different and fresh. First time? They are great to suggest great sandwiches for newbies and tell you how they work. There are SOO many choices(probably a slight to many who like smaller menus) to choose from which I’m a fan of. So far I’ve had 6 different sandwiches and LOVED every one! Nice piled ingredients, fresh produce, great choice of hot sauces. I would say that a few more side options would really put it up a good notch Service times have varied a bit, our first trip was quick and great but we’ve had a few slower meals there and they were not terribly busy, just not much sense of urgency. Either way, I’m great to wait for the quality of food. The price is very competitive for this market and you get plenty for the buck. That leads me to my favorite aspect of this concept — a portion of the proceeds goes to help local firehouse/ems. That’s pretty awesome! 4 stars overall ONLY because I run a restaurant and have extremely high expectations. Minor flaws to address but I’m a very happy supporter.

Tried Firehouse Subs for the first time last evening. Had the hook and ladder on wheat, fully involved. The wheat bread very good(rungs above subway«wheat»). The meat and toppings were plentiful, fresh with a well balanced ratio. The prices are very low for the quality of the sandwiches(which was a nice surprise). I even commented to my DH, «I hope they are making enough profit to stay open.» The only negative thing I have to say is that the service was slow. There were 4 in front of us and it took about 20 mins to get our sandwiches. There were four guys working, and while they were pleasant, it didn’t seem like they were in a rush.(It was about 7:30 pm when we were there) Definitely not so bad not to go back. I do like the fact they support local EMS, Firefighters and rescue teams. We would have«rounded up» our change to donate but we were not asked at the cashiers stand. I would suggest offering side dishes beyond just the chips. Welcome to the neighborhood !!! Glad you are here.

Only been there once. Decided to try out. Subs are OK, nothing fantastic. Large menu to decipher. Can get cold or hot subs. They have one of the new fancy pop machines with lots of options. I had the Corned beef and Pastrami combo and can’t compare even to Izzy’s which I rate as an average deli. Not very crowded and located by Moe’s and Sportsclips.

Having noticed a lot of fuss about Firehouse Subs on Unilocal and elsewhere, we decided to check it out at lunchtime one weekend. Based on one visit, we didn’t understand the fuss. We shared the Italian and the New York Steamer(a corned-beef-brisket and pastrami combo) sandwiches. Both featured rather squishy, uninteresting rolls and a too-sweet Italian dressing. The meats themselves were OK for chain fare. Overall, the sandwiches didn’t make much of an impression. I’d say that Firehouse gets lost in the shuffle when it comes to chain sub shops and that it’s definitely inferior to its similar competitor Potbelly. I’d also say that Potbelly is a better value, with slightly bigger sandwiches for a lower price. A lot of folks reviewing Firehouse get all hot and bothered about these Coke Freestyle machines. Great fun for the kidz, I reckon, but I personally couldn’t care less about that thing. This Firehouse location has sharp-looking red-and-white décor with a mural devoted to local firefighters, but the layout here isn’t well-planned: The lines for ordering and for getting drinks are too close together in a back corner of the restaurant and seem to get jammed up together when more than a few diners are present. Firehouse Subs: not a bad option for a quick food stop-in if you’re in the immediate area, but not worth going out of your way for. That’s three stars, but barely.

I am not sure what I am going to do after they take the Pork BBQ sandwich off the menu! It’s called the Luau … something I can’t remember… Honestly, It’s a limited time only kinda thing so I’m trying NOT to get to attached. Because, then it will be gone and I will be left with the memory of how great it was… I will pine over it and it will NOT be available anymore. I will have to entertain myself with the Coke machine and the fire hats but NOSANDWICH. I just don’t think I could LOVEANYTHINGLIKE I LOVE the … oh, what’s it’s name?

I was skeptical when I heard that they steam your sandwich. I immediately thought this would equal a soggy sandwich, but I was so wrong! Steaming it helps the meat stay tender and juicy while cooking, and it’s drained and placed on a toasted bun. awesome! They also have the awesome Coke machines where you can customize your flavor. Very fun!

The subs are hot and prepared fresh. I had the Italian and something in it was sweet. Some may like that, but if you don’t care for that sweet pickled flavor all over your sandwich, don’t get the Italian. The coke machine is cool, but the super wide selection of specialty hot sauces is what’s going to bring me back. They has a bout 30 different bottles at all levels of heat, great idea.

Love this place!!! Not only are the sandwiches tasty and filling, but OMG!!! The Touch screen Coke machine is AMAZING!!! This place has hot sub sandwiches with some firehouse flair-different meets and cheeses. Chips! No fries. I would have loved to try the chili, maybe next time… now, on to the Coke machine!!! Coca cola is an all American soda drink… we’ve had the Cherry Coke, love the Vanilla Coke… but the Orange Coke is awesome!!! The variety of flavors is endless… what about a strawberry Sprite??? Yep, they have that too! Oh, the Cherry Limeade is awesome as well!!! Place is clean, workers are decent!

I came across this restaurant while driving and seeing a person wielding a sign promoting it by the road. Since it was much closer to my work I decided to check it out. Upon entering I was greeted several times. They have several hot subs on the menu. For comparison, they are similar to potbellies. You can white or wheat bread. The subs come in 8 in or 12 in. The one thing that stands out in the restaurant is the coke machine! It has every imaginable coke product you can get in its fountain drink dispenser. It is touch screen. I chose coke and another menu came up with 6 other kinds of coke. Vanilla, cherry, lime, orange… They also had seltzer water as an option too. This machine in itself would be enough to brings back. I hope this machine catches on elsewhere! Amazing! The restaurant also supports firefighters. It has a firehouse subs public safety foundation. You can buy their empty pickle bucket for $ 2 to support their foundation.

Randomly came across this place next to Moe’s on a trip to Kroger. Had never noticed it before, so not real sure when it opened exactly. Going inside it’s like your typical sub place, friendly staff that greets you when you walk in, separate lines for order and picking up, etc. The menu is huge, took a little bit to figure out what we wanted, grabbed a to-go menu just so we could become more familiar with the menu. The subs were delicious, I had a New York Steamer [can’t remember what the b/f got], but it was down right amazing. I would def put this place in my top 3 of sandwich/sub stops. Everything down to how easy the bread was to chew was phenomenal. The best part of this place… they have one of those fancy high tech Coke machines… 120+ different combinations of soda, water and if I remember correctly, seltzer water. We love Mello Yello, and got to try 4 different flavors of it… not too shabby. :)
