I stopped by Cappel’s yesterday to get a few more Halloween costumes. They have EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING that you could possibly need for your Halloween. They have costumes, props, accessorices and more. The downtown location is a good size and has plenty to choose from. They only thing I’d like to call out, is that all purchases are non-refundable so just be confident when you buy!

I wish we had a Cappel’s in Phoenix, AZ. I just love this store! We visit every year for Oktoberfest and stay downtown, so it’s walking distance from our hotel. That Oktoberfest weekend always falls on my sons birthday. So, it’s great to have a party place walking distance to get everything we need… and reasonably priced. Now, when I come to Cappel’s, I get our Oktoberfest supplies and their Halloween stuff is out too… so, I get Halloween treats for my son’s classroom here too. We always spend a good hour here because they have so much stuff for every possible event you can think of. If you can’t find it here… you will have to search and buy online. The staff has always been friendly… after reading the review on the bathroom situation… good to know. Use the bathroom before you come here. Great party store, great selection, very nice staff… see you next September!

I love Cappel’s. I lovelovelove to throw theme parties and this place is my wet dream. Every party theme you can think of they have a section to help you decorate for it. Pirate, Hollywood, cultural, wedding… It is two, large floors so don’t miss the stair case. Don’t be afraid to open up that wallet here, they are reasonably priced. One of my favorite sections are the trinket bins. At least 12 feet of trinkets for your small toy needs. Forget glitter bombing, start tiny sheep bombing! I have been cashed out by a woman who is a bit stiff but nice if you chat her up and a man who was pleasant and trying to be as efficient as possible to get through the line. This place is different than Cappel’s Annex, which is near but not connected to Cappel’s. This location is for party supplies(get your St. Patrick’s Day shot glass neck lace and beer goggles here). The other is for costumes(get your face paint and green wigs there).

Cappel’s is known as Cincy’s go-to craft store. They have tons of items from party décor, to fabrics, to embellishments for costumes. You name it they probably have it. Since I throw a ton of events, I frequent this store pretty often, especially since it is right downtown. I was debating between 3 and 4 stars and here’s why: the service is not the best, and the prices are higher than Michael’s and other craft store competitors. The positives are that this store has things that no one else has. Really quirky unique items like a make your own banner station. Although when I was there they had run out of certain letters like a, and e. Hence another reason why I am giving this place 3 stars. How do you make your own banner without all the letters? This place has all the right makings to be a spectacular little store, but I think the owners are just lax in keeping things up to date and well stocked. Still worth checking out.

Such a great place for all kinds of things. Party supplies, halloween costumes, and other holiday decorating needs. This day, I stopped by to pick up Christmas-y things to decorate my bike for the bright ride coming up. They had everything I needed and more!

The store on Kenwood Road in Blue Ash are absolute Nazis about not letting customers use their restroom. I used to go here a lot with my children(and spend money every time) but the staff are such total jerks about letting me or one of my children use the restroom there that I have taken my business to Party City or Halloween Express.

I looooove this place. If you ever need anything for a craft or a costume this is the spot. The staff is very helpful at giving advice and helping your costume come to life. The prices are very low. If you need ribbon, party favors, or any kind of party decorations they have it all. The same party tablecloths in all different colors that are available at the party source for about $ 5 are available here for about $ 2. Bengals accessories like tiger ears, hats, glasses, beads, etc. as well as Octoberfest chicken hats, green feather hats, beer beads, are all wayyyyyy less expensive than if you buy them at the stadium or the festivals. Think about it. Park a bit north, stop by cappel’s and stop people in their tracks with your awesome gear for all the events around Cincinnati! Keep in mind. One side of the block has the Cappel’s Annex with pure costume apparel and accessories. The real Cappel’s is on the opposite side of the block and has the more authentic items at a very low price. Check the real place before the costume store.

When I was growing up, my parents told me I could be whatever my heart desired. Now, that’s not entirely true. I hate math and avoid science like the plague. But even I can dress up like an astronaut for a night, thanks to the good folks at Cappel’s. A downtown Cincinnati institution, this is the place where urbanites come for Halloween costumes and other dress-up details. I happened to check in to Cappel’s a month after Halloween, and was pleased to find a great display of Christmas and Mardi Gras accessories, at the ready for the next big party. My assignment was to pick up some items for a Roaring 20s party. Cappel’s, what with their assortment of flapper dresses, sequined headbands and pretend Tommy guns, didn’t disappoint. And the guy at the register even schooled me on why those dames from the past were called«flappers.» Hint: it has nothing to do with those fringed dresses.
