Great Indian place tucked away in Montgomery. When there on a Saturday night around 7, not very busy. The décor is nice and upscale. The service is great, our water is filled really quick and food came out quickly. I loved their mango lassi, it’s great to have it actually taste fresh and mangoy. We got the chili lamb and spinach nan — both are really delicious. I have to minus a star for the rice — it’s plain without any spices and seemed made with a little too much water :(It’s a little pricier than your normal Indian places but definitely worth it.

This is the fancy indian restaurant that you can go to for a nice date. It’s more upscale than most in town. The service is attentive and friendly. The décor and presentation is regal. The food tastes delicious and there are many good vegetarian options. You can take your time and really enjoy the dining experience. The prices are a bit higher, and the food is on the rich side for me. So, it’s more of a special treat than an every day place for me.

Stopped here for dinner based on a colleague’s recommendation. This was one of the best steaks I have ever had the pleasure of eating. And the«prawns delight» was truly delightful. High recommend this place — and that you pick items which are non-traditional(ie the chef’s favorites).

Usually very good but our last experience was just ok. Service was great but food overall was just ok. Garlic nan was excellent. Chicken korma had a good amount of chicken but only a couple nuts and sauce was bland. Rice had no taste either.

Our experience at Bombay Brazier was outstanding! We were referred there by a friend, and we were extra excited after reading multiple Unilocal reviews. The restaurant is tucked into the corner of a little strip just off of Montgomery Square. The ambiance is elegant and quiet. After looking at the menu & the extensive list of recommendations I had collected, my husband and I decided to go with the chef’s selection, a combination of 6 – 8 chef selected dishes, served in tapas fashion. Our dishes ranged from a lovely, creamy soup to chicken tikka(super tender & moist, amazing flavor) to fish to paneer. The variety of dishes & flavors was incredible. Every dish was different and delectable in its own right. Service was spaced out over 1.5−2 hours to give time to truly enjoy each dish. In addition, the chef came to our table multiple times; initially to explain the service, but then to check how we were enjoying the food. A truly pleasurable & memorable experience. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys Indian cuisine!

Bombay Brazier is not a place for Indian people. Owner’s wife treats Indian people like nothing. Though the food is great, I wouldn’t go back due to this discrimination. White folks, go and enjoy!

Bombay Brazier has special place on my favorites list. I mean, each table has diamond ring-shaped candle holders. What’s not to love? I have been to this restaurant twice, and I have enjoyed in immensely both times. The price of dinner may be $ 1 – 2 more than your average Indian restaurant, but the quality of the food and the atmosphere are well worth it. The restaurant accommodates families, but the upscale feel and lighting make it a good date night choice. The service is superb, with the chef himself checking on each table at least once to make sure the food was good. Now the food here is the real star. The mint chicken appetizer is a must; don’t let the bright emerald green color deter you. It will make your taste buds happy. My boyfriend and I were feeling bold last time we went, so we tried the Chicken65. This restaurant already makes dishes spicier than other places, and this dish starts out at a 9(on a scale from 1 – 10). It was one of the spiciest dishes that I have ever eaten, but it was still really delicious. The burn thankfully goes away quickly. The mango lassi helped. The paneer makhani is the best I have eaten as well. Thick sauce with a ton of flavor. We ordered it at a spice level of 5 to balance with the Chicken65, and it still had some heat. We cooled off by walking to Walker Bros ice cream after dinner. I highly recommend this restaurant if you love Indian food and like it really spicy. Then explore Old Montgomery for a bit to cool off.

Growing up in England, with an abundance of Indian food, this place is delicious. The spice level is customized, and everything we’ve had is wonderful. Get the lamb! We love the masala chai, mango lassi, and vindaloo.

First Visit. Place was very classy. Service was excellent. Large portions of food. I am a little confused with their SPICE concept. They ask for spice level on a scale of 1 to 10 with 7+ being with habanero sauce. But why? Obviously, I will leave that to the experts. We ordered for spice level 5 on a Goan Chicken curry and it was spicy enough. Food was not fantastic for the items we ordered. So, its 3.5 star strictly for the service and the items which we ordered. Considering all the fabulous reviews I got from my friends, I will definitely go back and try more and hopefully I get a Unilocaltastic experience. By the way we ordered Chicken Afghani, Goan curry, and 2 different types of bread.

Fantastic experience. I was with 4 friends, among them my Indian friend – same AWESOME guy who has taken us to pretty much every good Indian restaurant in town. We knew we were in good hands. Our feast: I. Chaat — Indian salad with tons of veggies and spices served on these thin chips… amazing. II. Paneer cubes — totally not the right name for it, but essentially cheese cubes! Buttery and delicious. I’ve never had this dish at any Indian restaurant before, and it was eye-opening. Will keep a lookout for it next time! III. Main course consisted of Bartha(eggplant dish), Chicken Tikka Masala, Choley Saag(chickpeas/spinach), and a Chef’s Special chicken dish that was out of this world. First off, let me just say that if you have not found truth/religion/what-have-you in Indian eggplant, you will here. Secondly, before coming here, I shook my head at the Unilocal pictures posted of chicken tikka masala, thinking that that would be the last thing I would order(dude, I want REAL Indian food), but the CTM here was da-BOMB. So buttery, so good. Now I don’t blame anyone for posting your chicken tikka masala pictures — please go right ahead! IV. Of course, nothing is complete without naan! We ordered a potato filled naan(?) and the obligatory garlic naan. It came out fresh and warm from the kitchen! So hot, in fact, that my friend almost burned her finger on it. I also could not resist getting mango lassi. It was so good I was afraid I would down it in one-go. Maybe a little on the sweeter side if I had to be nit-picky. The restaurant has a romantic ambiance. When I walked in and saw the intimately lit tables, I was afraid it was reservation-only. But they were not very busy on a weekday night. Our table had a giant ring-shaped candle. This place has been hyped so much by the Indian people in my life. But it did not disappoint. It’s a bit hard to find, as you have to drive down a side street(don’t let your GPS fool you into stopping too early!). Totally worth the detour if you are craving good Indian food.

We have been going to Bombay since couple of years. The attitude of owners is very bad. Simplest of the suggestion were taken rudely and it was not great customer experience. The quality of food has deteriorated over last 4 visits and when we pointed they came back to us. We were grp of 11 ppl and all rated worst food. I would suggest looking for different options and not visiting again. Disappointed Saturday it was

I wish there was a 6th Star! Mind. Blown. I consider myself a Tikka Masala expert, I had no idea. In addition, I frequent several other Indian establishments in Cincinnati, I always get the highest spice possible, still not hot enough. This place! I only had a 5⁄10 and my lips are numb… Highly recommend for fabulous food and extremely attentive service. A+++

I thought this was one of the best places to eat Indian food when we were in Cincinnati visiting my fiancé’s family. His sister and her boyfriend frequent here alot, so we knew exactly what to order(and the spice level). If you order spicy– it will be spicy! We ordered naan, chicken tikka, chicken jalfreezi, and tikka masala. All were really flavorful and delicious. The owners are super sweet and so friendly! The servers are also attentive.

Not great. Very few vegetables with the meat dishes and no vegetarian options. Menu is extremely limited. There are many other better Indian restaurants in town. A few things to add: This was a carry out order. We pulled a menu from the web and it only had a few appetizers, and maybe 5 or 6 meat entrees. We called the restaurant who also faxed us a menu as we thought ours must be wrong, but the menu that was sent to us was the same. We were just very surprised to find no vegetarian entrees on this menu. Maybe this is a different menu than is used inside the restaurant? I got the chicken curry which was good but really wanted some vegetables and there were only a few pieces of onion.

So, it looks like our dear hot-headed chef will ONLY be satisfied with 5-star reviews. Even though I complimented the restaurant on many items such as their Papdi Chat, Naan, Rice and Paneer dishes, I get«yelled» at for giving negative reviews about three others. Kind Sir, how about a «thank you» for the compliments I gave out? Anyway, I suppose if I am not qualified enough to review mediocre food, then I can’t know much about good food either, so dear fellow reviewers, please disregard my comments about the dishes that I said were good, because they can’t have been, can they? I must be mistaken because what do I know! :) Sir, if you are so sensitive to criticism, maybe you should not be in the service industry? If everything you do is so perfect, then you must be the world’s greatest chef! So kudos to you. Also, some of your responses are inaccurate. There is indeed an Indian restaurant in OH, in fact just 5 minutes from your place, called Tandoor India which serves Malai Kofta and a host of other dishes without cream upon request. Considering that they serve THEBESTINDIAN food in the Montgomery area, maybe you can apprentice with them to learn a little bit about customer service? Next, on to the topic of coconut milk, we can debate all night about this, but being a «madrasi»(btw, as a side note, ONLY Chennaiites can be referred to as Madrasis; not every other South Indian, so maybe that’s why you were confused??? :)) I can safely say that we do not use coconut milk as extensively as it is used in Kerala. Regarding the spice level, I really wonder what the point is of having a scale of 1 — 10 if someone with a slightly above average spice tolerance cannot handle the level 5 at your restaurant. Of course, if the purpose is to imitate other restaurants and purposelessly mark your scale from 1 — 10 without any rationale, then«well done, sir!» It will be great if you can develop a better attitude which will enable you to receive positive and negative criticisms equanimously. Purely on account of your bad attitude, I am removing one star from the 2 stars I had given previously.

My husband LOVES Indian food, perhaps only second to pizza. It was his turn to choose a restaurant for date night, so we ended up here and he seemed darn pleased with himself. :) We were quickly served a complimentary trio of chutneys with some thin wafer-like crackers. Forgive me — I’m not well-versed in all Indian cuisine, so I’m not entirely sure what I was eating LOL. The chutneys were of varying spiciness, and the wafer had a sesame seed taste to it. I can’t find a menu online, so I don’t recall exactly what we ordered. Both of our entrees came with paneer and we had some Paneer Naan on the side.(We do love our paneer!) All of the food was incredibly flavorful. But it probably cost at least 1⁄3 more than we would pay for our usual Indian take-out at the place close to our home. That said, the food definitely seemed of higher quality, but still a little pricy for us to return unless it was somewhat of a special treat. The staff checked on us regularly, and even the chef stopped by to make sure we were enjoying our food. With us getting separate entrees, we definitely had leftovers to take home with us, and my biggest complaint would have to center on their to-go containers. They were just small Styrofoam boxes with a flap, but you really need something with a sealable lid to transport saucy dishes like that. We had some leakage in our to-go bag that could have been prevented with some better containers.
