Tree and Leaf is a local company, started by a couple of young guys when they were still in college. They’re probably best known for their Thunder tees, but they make t-shirts for lots of different Oklahoma enclaves including The Lost Ogle and other cool local websites and organizations. They also do tank tops, hoodies, and some pretty cool new glasses. In their space they host events that are kind of like a gallery show opening night, except these events are to celebrate the release of new poster art or a shirt design by a local celebrity. They count BMX riders, rappers, and other successful local entrepreneurs among their devotees, but everyone is treated well in their northwest OKC shop. I like that they’ve kept their little place where it is rather than moving to a hipper part of town. I grew up over there and would have loved a local shop like this. Instead, we had Braum’s and a Linens-N-Things outlet. These guys also do custom screen printing, so if you’re considering hiring someone for a job, I’d start with them and go from there. I have no idea how their prices for that kind of stuff stack up against other shops, but I do think they’ve got a neat little program going.
