My 3 year old began lessons here last month and is blessed to have Rosie as his instructor! The lessons last for a half hour and that’s about the perfect amount of time for their little attention spans, and muscles! There are never more than 4 kiddos in his class so she is always paying attention to everyone, but still able to cater to their individual needs! There was even a special needs child in his last lesson and he was given the same amount of attention he usually is… and Rosie did an AMAZING job of taking care of the little boy with special needs as well! She definitely has a way with children. She is always so kind to them when instructing and seems to easily get all of them to listen to what she is telling them. There have been different kids at a few of his lessons and there has never once been a behavioral problem! She makes my son feel very comfortable. He is a bit afraid of the water and she is gaining his trust more each week! My son has tubes in his ears and we were told he didn’t need ear plugs if we were going to be in clean water. AquaTots checks their water & chemical levels several times daily. In all of my research, it would appear they set the standard as far as swim lessons go! Parents are not allowed in the actual pool area unless they are enrolled in the infant class. The pool is in a large, window enclosed room and there is comfortable seating all around so you can see your baby so everything for the duration of their lessons, but will not be a distraction to them so they can get the most of their lessons! The water is separated into 8 different teaching zones and broken down by skill level! There is a great little ‘gift shop’ type area that has everything you could ever want! Towels, t-shirts, goggles! Oh, GETYHEGOGGLES!!! I bought 3 pairs trying to prepare my little for classes and they were all horrible! The ones at AquaTots have a closure at the back that doesn’t pull hair, and they perfectly fit little faces. He hardly noticed them! At the end of each lessons the instructor talks to each parent about how their child did and what they will continue to work on. She is always very encouraging and he asks every morning when he gets to go back! Thank you AquaTots for helping my baby gain the skills necessary for water safety!
