The manager and waitstaff are very attentive and cordial. The food is great and the atmosphere is always positive.

My wife and I decided to try Tommy’s for the first time tonight. We got seated right away, then sat for about 15 minutes. Waitresses kept walking by and looking at us, but never took our drink order, or even acknowledged our presence. The manager even walked by us at one point. We finally got fed up, and left.

Tommy’s Original Lasagna was a delicious italian feast. Service was outstanding and above and beyond what you get now a days. Our steak was a little over cooked, it happens, but the chef came to the table to apologize and greet us. MUCHRESPECTANDKUDOS to the server, Melody, for addressing the situation and the chef for being proud of his food. I asked for some garlic aioli to have with my artichoke hearts and they whipped up the best garlic aioli I’ve had for me. And yes, you read correctly, we ordered a steak… the flat iron and added some Marsala — delicious.

Our waitress was incredibly slow and not very attentive. She was giggling with the hosts more than anything else. Food was your average Italian chain food, nothing incredibly special. For the area it isn’t bad, other servers seemed to be on the ball… Wish ours was!

We all say«oh look, there’s a place we haven’t tried» so we get in the car and head over there thinking it’s just gonna be a normal place, but boy it is not the place is very clean and the service is great. We ordered the calamari as a appetizer and said«this is the best thing I’ve ever had«One of my greatest recommendations would be the lasagna. The roof and the outside patio is a great place to go around 7:00 — 8:00pm.When we said it was a normal restaurant wow we were wrong

The service was rushed and the pizza was so dry we just took it home for the dogs. It was a new place in our area and we had to try. Wood fired brick oven pizza shouldnt be that dry but you never know about a place till you try. We just wont go back.

The service here is always excellent! They have a great wine selection and I have to recommend the fried raviolis(available during happy hour). They are amazing! Love this place!

I posted this review on my Facebook page about a year ago. I thought I had already posted it here on Unilocal.I’ve eaten at Tommy’s Italian-American Grill many times since then, but the food is still as good as when I wrote this review. Hope you enjoy it. On May 9th, I had dinner at Tommy’s Italian-American Grill. Basically, I hated it. However, I knew they had just opened so I said I would give them a second chance after a couple months to iron out the kinks. Last night, I had returned to Tommy’s. I was seated at the bar. It wasn’t my first choice, but it turned out to be a great location. I could see most of the dining room, and I also had the opportunity to talk to the bartenders, wait staff, and floor managers who walked through the bar. I ordered the Caesar salad, which was the only thing I really loved from my first trip in May. This time, I ordered the Linguini Con Frutti di Mare, a selection of shrimp, scallops, clams and mussels sauteed in butter and white wine tossed with linguine, then finished with pomodoro sauce. No wine this time either; just iced tea. In a word, the meal was excellent. The complimentary bread was hot and fresh. My salad was as good as last time. My main course arrived about a minute after I had finished my salad. And what a main course. Every bit of seafood was cooked perfectly. The scallops melted, literally melted in my mouth. They were sweet, tender, and fresh. The shrimp, mussels, and clams were amazing as well. The linguini was cooked perfectly. Honestly, it was one of the best Italian dishes I’ve had anywhere in years. I will definitely be going back.

I’m happy to finally see a good, local, non-chain Italian restaurant on the northwest side of town. I love pasta and Italian food in general, so I was so excited to see Tommy’s open up on Memorial. We stopped in on our way back from a football game in Stillwater and sat up on the patio. It was a gorgeous night, and the upstairs patio is cozy and quaint and I loved it. I do think our service suffered since they are going up and down the stairs all night without any resources on the patio, but it is what it is. We still enjoyed the view. The restaurant in general is gorgeous, so any seat in the place would probably be pretty. We started with the fried calamari and Caesar salads, both pretty good. My fiancé had the spaghetti bolognese and I had the cilantro pesto. I LOVE pesto, and the cilantro pesto was different from any pesto I’ve had. The cilantro definitely offered a unique kick of flavor, and it had corn and bell peppers in it(two of my favorites). We both really enjoyed the flavors of our pastas, but both our sauces were extremely watery, which we found weird and not at all what I’m used to in a spaghetti sauce or a pesto sauce. They didn’t taste bad at all, and the flavors were definitely there, but just a bit thin for our liking. Decent Italian food on our side of town. Not the best we’ve ever had, but good. I’m sure we’ll stop in from time to time.

The food was good. The service? Not so much. Our waiter spilled a dish on one member of our party and the manager only offered to help with her dry cleaning bill. What? Our group had 14 people. Only after a lot of prodding did the manager«offer» to pay for her meal. It was bizarre. The manager was defensive and unhelpful.

Poor service with mediocre Italian food. Had to remind wait staff of order several times. Pizza crust was visibly burnt, and waitress didn’t acknowledge it. Would much rather pay for Olive Garden/Fazolis if I want sub par Italian food.

I’ve had worse, but this place was borderline awful. Out of the 8 diners at our table, only 1 liked their entrée. First of all, service was slow, especially with drink refills. We had to ask for everything, butter, water, salad dressing, citrus for tea — very tiresome. Three of us got Caesar salads, but the Romaine was wet and the dressing was honey mustard? The booth behind us was complaining about the exact same thing as we left. The lobster bisque tasted like clam chowder and was grainy. The pizza was underdone, gooey crust, the pastas were ALL overdone, far beyond al dente, the chicken picatta was bland, and the salmon very dry. Only the chicken parmigian was decent. We didn’t bother to try dessert!

Went for Mother’s Day brunch, with a reservation. They were perfectly on-time, as others were being turned away. The place was packed. I mean lots of family groups. We both had steak and eggs. Both steaks were perfectly cooked, as were the eggs. Mimosas were delicious. Fried potatoes and fresh fruit were fresh and delicious. Some of the best restaurant coffee I’ve had in a long time! Tommy’s knows how to handle a crowd. We had no long wait for our food, despite there being only two of us. The service was appropriately attentive. We noted that Tommy’s serves brunch on Saturdays, as well. We decided to take advantage of that in the near future! We’re customers of the old Tommy’s at Northpark, and their return has made us very happy!

I was a big fan of Tommy’s at Northpark Mall. This iteration also has excellent Italian. Having grown up in Providence I do know my Italian food and recommend Tommy’s. What I miss however, is what was the best brunch in town. Please. Bring it back.

I had a great time at Tommy’s. I ordered the prosciutto and egg pizza. I used to live in Italy and was very excited to see this authentic pizza on the menu. I haven’t seen many pizzas with egg on them in the US! The pizza was simple and delicious. The egg was perfectly cooked, not runny or overdone. The patio was beautiful and I think it would be a great place for an event for 20 – 30 people. It’s beautiful up there and there is room for a band. The service was very nice and accommodating.

Out of this world PIZZAS! Simply the best flavors. Salads are fresh and dressing isn’t too heavy. Pasta combinations for all you foodies! The 2nd floor patio and 1st floor covered patios provide a different dining experience each time you go! Highly recommend this place no matter if it is just you and your significant other, a large group or your crazy kiddos! Atmosphere for everyone!

Satisfied with the food. Very disappointed in the service. I had really high hopes for this place after reading the other reviews. We came for a late Friday night dinner around 9. The place was still packed and it took 5 – 10 minutes to get a table. The hostesses were nice. However, we sat down and waited 10 minutes without anyone coming to our table. So my boyfriend had to go back to the hostess to ask about our waitress. 5 minutes later a girl came and greeted us with no smile on her face. She was that way the whole time. We got the Tommy’s NY style pizza and the lasagna. Instead of getting us new plates for the pizza, she pushed the bread on our appetizer plates and gave us the bread plate to eat off of. So not cool. The lasagna was actually good. Great flavors that’s not overly smothered on cheese. I would get it again. The pizza was very average and had a sweet undertone. The whiskey sour we ordered wasn’t very good either. Oh, I almost forgot, the Caesar salad was great. That and the lasagna saved them. I hope their service improves so that another local business can stay alive and thrive.

So happy to see Tommy’s back in action! When I was growing up, this was one of my favorite places. In high school, you knew you had a good date if he took you to Tommy’s. I was happy to have Tommy’s back, but I was even happier to see it in such a beautiful, modern building worthy of Tommy himself. The legendary Caesar was just as good as I remembered. We ordered a moderately priced red, and I had the Capellini al Gamberetti, which I loved. The shrimp was perfectly seasoned and cooked. Kasey had his favorite, the eggplant, which he really enjoyed, and he’s definitely an expert on the subject. We sat at the bar, which was a lot of fun. We could see the busy man making pizzas as fast as he could, as well as the other side of the bar, and on into the kitchen. They were still getting it together in terms of stocking the bar and all the wines, but even that part was fun to see. There’s something for everyone here: a fun cocktail area and bar with TVs, posh dining area for a quieter meal or a nice date night. An outdoor patio serves a full menu, while a rooftop patio is for drinking, smoking cigars, and all around good times. They’ve recently retained the amazing services the fabulous, world famous Mr Robert Painter, so you know it’s going to be a smash hit. I look forward to coming back many times, and I’m sure a five star is in the future for Tommy and his team.
