The 3020 Bar

This place is great! Awesome bartender! Awesome vibes! Will definitely be back! I remember being a little weary of the place at first. Not anymore.

I’ve wondered about this place for years as I drove down Penn. I finally went in and found out what was going on behind those darkened windows.
It’s an incredibly cheap and surprisingly friendly beer bar. On a Friday night there was a single man in his 60s playing pool and a handful of nice looking people in their 20s-​30s watching sports, talking to each other, and singing along to Queen on the jukebox.
My friends and I sat in the second room by ourselves because we are shy. We played skee ball (450 points gets you a free pint) and the bartender came over a couple times to see if we needed anything and to welcome us to the bar and tell us about some of their specials:
$ 1.50 pints if you like the Chicago Cubs (they were on TV at the moment.) Friday night was ladies night with some other ridiculously cheap beer special. Apparently on Sunday nights they host a Walking Dead watch party and give out a pretty hefty gift card if you can get on The Talking Dead afterward.
Seems like a really friendly place. I’d recommend it if you like Cock of the Walk but it’s full and you want a similar vibe.

Free pool and insanely cheap long necks! The place is a little smoky and I don’t think they have a full bar, but a cool place nonetheless. The very definition of a dive bar.
