What in the world keeps this place in business? Food was overcooked and tasted awful. Waited for over an hour. Gave me diarrhea. WAY overpriced. Beware of this place. Your dog wouldn’t eat it. Terrible and snobby staff.

Like someone else mentioned, I too had noticed the Taqueria across the street from TLC, but never thought it appealing enough to check it out. Yesterday, after buying some potting soil at TLC, I was craving Mexican food and decided to pay a little visit. Not knowing the portion sizes,(and being very hungry), I ordered two fish tacos, two tamales and a side of jalapeño’s. This turned out to be about twice what I needed. The food was a bit slow in coming out of the kitchen, but I chalk that up to it having being freshly prepared. I doubt they pre-cook any dishes and believe they didn’t start cooking, until my order was turned in. While this is probably not the place to come when in a hurry, it was really tasty! This is not Tex-Mex. It is authentic Mexican food, unaltered by American taste buds. I’ll be back.

Tacos al Pastor. 5 Stars. FYI, their tacos are huge compared to a lot of street tacos. 3 is plenty for my fatazz. The hot salsa Verde you can get with chips may be the best salsa in the city, it’s incredible.

Great food, slow service. Don’t come at a time people eat or you’ll be waiting for a while.

It’s pretty much the most authentic taco place I have been to in the city. If you want some really great guac and an awesome taco(fried fish is my favorite but the spicy prom is also good too) then come here!!! It’s great. I come here like once a week. Literally. Sometimes more.

This place is great, pretty inexpensive, just kind of your little while in the wall local place. Delicious food!

We are so full! I had a gordita that was so yummy with malty cheese. My husband had a torta that comes with the most delicious green sauce. I have nothing to complain about. Everyone was very nice too. I’m too full to write more.

Don’t come here if you’re looking for a quick lunch, been waiting for over 30+ minutes and no food. Won’t be back.

We were spoiled when we lived in San Diego, CA and were ecstatic to find Taqueria La Original #2! It is the best taqueria we’ve found in OKC! I could eat their red and green salsa with just about anything. Everything on the menu is delicious but the flautas are my favorite.

This is by far my favorite place to get authentic Mexican food. This is not tex-mex. Street tacos, enchiladas, gorditas, flautas, and more. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.

Really good tacos, several to choose from. The barbacoa and chicken are great, the carnitas are probably my favorite. The menu is small but everything looks good and authentic. Love the red and green sauce and the price is right, my family and I can eat here for roughly the same money as we’d spend on fast food and this is so much better. This has become one of my favorite lunch spots.

Who would know if they are good or not? Door still locked 20 minutes after sign said they were open, and no one answered the phone, either. You lost quite a few customers today, most likely forever!

If you want something authentic in OKC without traveling down by the airforce base, this is it. They serve their salsa piping hot, steaming. You can get menudo here and tortas as well as fresh tamales.

I recently visited Taqueria as I was in search of a quick meal and didn’t wanna drive far. I love Mexican food but sometimes in OKC you come across terrible TEX-MEX that is trying to be passed off as authentic Mexican fare. Well, this is not place for that at all. This food is 100% authentic Mexican food. I ordered the chicken tacos and beef tacos and wallah!, they made the tacos the same way I have had in the past at great original Mexican restaurants. The beef tacos were fresh and tasty. The chicken tacos were perfect! If you eat Mexican a lot then you know its very hard to find a good chicken taco. This place has awesome chicken tacos and you can tell that the grade of chicken meat they use is not processed at all. In all, If you are looking for Great Mexican food then give this place a try.

I must admit, I go to TLC a lot, but was never tempted by this place from the outside. It looks like it was transported from Mexico to Oklahoma. But, we were hungry, and Unilocal said it was good. I asked the woman at the cash register what was good, and was met with the unhelpful answer«everything is good». So I ordered the carne Asada platter. The food came out quickly, and the carne Asada is cooked with jalapeños and onions. Surprisingly the meat was tender, gristle free, and pretty tasty. Not as good as the carne Asada in Nicaragua, but far closer than any other restaurant since I returned from Nicaragua. Which is saying a lot. It is pretty darn good, and the prices are very reasonable.

Love this place. Very authentic and fresh. Reasonable prices. Great service. We always order meat by the pound and it’s street tacos for the whole family.
