The customer service at this store is the best I have encountered. The entire staff, especially the manager Penny, go over and beyond to help you, and make you feel comfortable. Great selection of furniture, great brands, and essentials for your baby. I picked out a rocker/chair that became back ordered and Penny’s first priority was make sure I had options and was happy. Recommend this as a stop for any expecting mom/dad and anyone with little ones!

I loved shopping here for baby stuff! We came here on Saturday to look at cribs, and though we didn’t find a crib we wanted, we found just about everything else we could ever want. I think the best thing to shop here for is your infant carrier/stroller/car seat. This is such a confusing thing to do if you’ve never done it before, and they go out of their way to show you all the different options, take the carriers off their bases and show you how they unattach and hook back in. They show you what systems and versions will work together, and talk you through the pros and cons of all. If you buy here, they also sign you up for a class where they install the bases in the car, and make sure you know how to do it on your own. Penny and company take good care of people, answer countless questions, and just generally make you feel better about the whole process. Highly recommend!

Quick service. Ordered a custom chair and got it in 4 weeks, exactly as they quoted. They are a little aloof at times working with paper tickets and not being able to find things, but it all gets done and they provide a good local honest business with good customer service.

After making the rounds at the baby superstore(which is less than super but a necessary evil), Target, and the cutesy boutiques, my husband and I stopped in to check out Stork Land. It is the perfect combination of what you’d find in a local boutique(think cute bedding, stuffed animals and other gift-ready small items) and the larger, more expensive necessities(think strollers and furniture). I thought we’d be stuck with the cribs at BRU, but we came to Stork Land to see what our options were. After buying gifts at some of the other boutiques in town and checking out their cribs(some were two months of our mortgage – no thank you!), I was pleasantly surprised to see that Stork Land had a range of crib prices. On our first trip we narrowed it down to three that we liked, and I went home to price compare online. Imagine my surprise when I found that at least two of the cribs were cheaper at SL than online – even before shipping! That was the moment I was completely sold on this store. We went back the next weekend and our previous sales person was at lunch so Aaron ended up helping us(she had already told us they don’t work on commission, another bonus, so we didn’t feel bad swapping). Our previous person was very nice and friendly, but Aaron was incredible. He jumped up on crib railing to show us the sturdiness of several of them, told us how frequently he saw defects in one brand or another, and looked up color options and shipping times on several. He was informative without being pushy and told us he completely understood if we were back in and out 7 or 8 more times. I told him this wasn’t an option, that I wanted to have our crib picked out, ordered and paid for that day(ain’t nobody got time for 10 trips to look at baby beds!). He gave us space to look, discuss and compare, but was always close enough to answer our questions. After a while, he remembered a crib and dresser he had in the back that might work out well for us, and it turned out he was right. We were able to get the floor model price on a crib that was still in the box, which also meant we were able to take our items home that day instead of waiting 4 – 12 weeks. The process was painless and easier than I ever expected and I am so glad to have our furniture home so we can really start nesting. Since I have already registered at the two chain stores, I’m hesitant to add a third, but with the service, selection and prices here, the third time may just be a charm!
