We came here on a whim tonight and I’m so glad we did. We had a lemon sorbet cocktail that was amazing and followed it with a salad that had arugula, balsamic, prosciutto, and mozzarella. It was also amazing. We ordered the mushroom pizza and their specialty pizza for the night. It was all so very good as well as the service and the atmosphere! We will be back!

This is the best restaurant in Oklahoma City. Not only is the food delicious, but the service is always stellar, the prices are more than reasonable, and the ambiance is casual and friendly. They have unique pizza options, great hearty salads, and a variety of delicious appetizers and small plates to choose from. The beet salad is my personal favorite, but if anything is a must-order, it’s the wings. They actually aren’t wings, they’re all drumsticks(way better). The sauce is tomato-based and I haven’t ever tasted any wing sauce quite like it before(in a good way). Instead of serving with ranch or bleu cheese, they serve with a Gorgonzola sauce that is so delicious you should try to save some for your pizza. Basically, no wings will ever compare. The pizzas are delicious and my favorite is the Soppresata, which is, as you might expect, a pizza covered in Soppresata. They have house-made chili oil for dipping, and it’s not necessary because the pizza is so flavorful, but gives the pizza a little extra spice. They have daily pasta specials if pizza isn’t your thing, and I’ve always been impressed with their pasta. Sometimes the combinations sound a little weird, but Pizzeria Gusto would never do you wrong, so just go with it. Their drink menu is also really great and the prices are low. I like the girly drinks like the Leaning Sour of Pisa and the Lemonatta, but they also have a comprehensive beer and wine list. I haven’t ever been for brunch, but I’ve heard good things. I’ve also heard they have a great lunch special, so that’s also an option! Overall, every time a friend is in town or someone asks me for a restaurant recommendation, my immediate answer is always Pizzeria Gusto. They can do no wrong in my mind.

We LOVE the food here, and are SO glad to see a restaurant of this caliber move into this part of Oklahoma City in an effort to gentrify a part of town that was — just a few years ago — seriously«on the rocks.» Great ambience. Friendly service. Fantastic food.

Nice upscale place without the overly-fancy feel. We sat at the chef’s bar and enjoyed the 5+ chefs building pizzas and pulling them from the brick oven. All ingredients were fresh and beautiful; and I must address the spectacular organization and cleanliness of the workers an work area! We ordered the rice balls for appetizer and ricotta donuts for dessert but were not thrilled with the fried exterior of either. Our pizza was good, and I appreciated the fresh parm and crushed red pepper offered by the server. The main event, however was the marinara sauce!!! I requested extra to dip the pizza, but I’m sure i could have eaten it as a soup– so good! In sum, we will return but order different items like the«butcher’s tray”-like appetizer or the veggie pizza.

I wanted to wait until my most recent visit(group lunch I set up for a retiring team member) before I posted my review for Pizzeria Gusto. I’ve been a few times now, and I’m officially a fan. The food is outstanding. The pizzas have plenty of complementary flavors(gold standard for me) … the salty sausage and sweet fig means I’m a sucker for that one, but they’re all good. And the appetizers are no slouch either — I know arancinis are standard these days, but at least they’re made well! The open floor plan is of course great, and that oven’s no home-grown contraption either. A cool atmosphere to go with cool food, cool drinks and great people. Service is still going to be in the 4.5 category, since they’re very friendly but we’ve had some hiccups. I’m told their new system is to blame for the inaccurate bill I received last visit. Nothing major, though — they’re usually very good at appearing relaxed while working really hard. Lastly, I’m a big fan of the lunch special. $ 10 gets you a smaller version of the regular pizzas plus a salad. If you have lunch and then pop over to Urban Teahouse for a soothing cup, you are pretty much guaranteed to fall asleep in the afternoon satiated and happy. Which, once you’re fired from your job, should give you ample time to spend your savings having lunch there more often. I hate to say it, because I do love the Wedge, but this is innovative and better. Time for the competition to make some adjustments.

Loved this place. My son and I wanted to try 2 different pizzas, knowing we couldn’t eat that much. We got a lamb sausage pie and a sopressata pie. So delicious! The crust was light and light char and smoky flavor. The mint ricotta in the lamb sausage pie was so good, I could’ve eaten it with a spoon. This was definitely the best pizza in OKC. Service was great. Everything was wonderful.

We’ve been to Pizzeria Gusto a few times recently and have always had good experiences. The wait staff have been friendly and informative about the menu, recommendations and able to answer any questions we had. I learned that it only takes 90 seconds to bake each pizza! Now that’s «gusto»! :) They have my favorite type of beer«Blanche de Bruxelles» which is always a plus! We only weren’t a fan of 2 things: the hummus appetizer(a bit too spicy & there was a hair mixed in it) and the booth seating(we were a group of 3, all over 6′ tall and were very uncomfortable trying to squeeze into the tiny booths. But if you and your family are average height, then no worries for you.) Obviously not serious enough concerns to take a star away but I like to call it the way I see it.

This is a go-to place with my husband, with a friend for lunch or a bigger group if you make reservations. The crust is pretty thin on the bottom but the edge puffs up, oh so good! Once(out of like 20) the crust was a little too«done» for me, but it was still good. The Italian sausage or the margarita would be my favorite. The caesar salad is classic and has the big slices of parmesan cheese, yum! Their weekly lunch special is great & filling. It’s a small pizza and any of there salads. Sometimes the«pizza of the day» isn’t my favorite but that’s okay, I’ll order something else.

We decided to visit Pizzeria Gusto the other night for pizza and drinks with a friend after hearing from everyone on how good it is and how much they like it. They lived up to everything I had heard. We visited on probably one of the slowest nights on the week a Tuesday and they had lots of staff all very busily working. My first impression as we walked in was WOW I love the view of the kitchen and the openness of the restaurant. The décor is simple but elegant. We were seated almost immediately upon walking in. My only complaint is the size of the booth they sat us in. It was extremely small for three people to sit at. There was plenty of room to sit next another as needed, but not enough room under the table for you to sit without being up in the business of the person across from you. We could have been reseated I’m sure, but it was fine for this one visit. Now on to the food and drinks. The food was exactly what we wanted for the night. We started the night out with the fried artichokes. This was something I have never tried before and they were good. I liked the dipping sauce they came with, and it was needed to get the full experience. We got two pizzas for three people and it was the perfect about. We got the daily special pizza which was a four cheese and a lamb sausage pizza. Of the two pizzas I really enjoyed four cheese. I got one of the craft cocktails for the night, the Bufala Negra. It was an awesome drink for the meal we had. Our server for the night was very good. She was very personable and funny. We took a while to order because we were talking and she was sure to check in on us. I will be back here in the near future for sure.

Had a very good dinner on a Sunday at Pizzeria Gusto. It was during a Thunder game, and it was nearly packed. Probably 80% of the dining tables, and the bar was over halfway full as well. We had reservations and were seated promptly. PG has a nice beer list with local favorites as well as some off the beaten path choices. They have about 8 or so wines by the glass, plus some additional bottles. Above average bar menu compared with restaurants of a similar price point. We were immediately approached for our drink order, and service was fantastic the entire time we were there. Our server was quick to offer refills, take away empty plates, and generally ask if we needed anything. No complaints at all. To start, we went with the arancini, the Gusto hot wings, and the bruschetta trio. My favorite was the arancini, I could have eaten the entire order by myself. Classic rice balls fried crispy, but with melty cheese(provolone) in the middle. The sauce was good, but a tad underseasoned. That being said, it was a strong appetizer. The wings were good, they had some heat. I also like the trio, but it was my least favorite of the appetizers. Still good, but not nearly as good as the arancini. For our pizzas, we went with(in my order of preference): soppressata, meatball, pancetta. We also added some pepper oil, or chili oil, I can’t remember which, on the side. We were told it was really hot. It wasn’t, but it had some heat, and was great to dip your crusts in. PG bills itself as a neopolitan pizza joint. I typically like more blister on the crust with this style of pizza. We had very little blister, and some slices had no crunch at all. This may be because they had so many toppings, which they did. You really get your money’s worth toppings-wise. The soppressata was the runaway winner for me and the rest of the table. It’s great quality meat, combined with some fantastic peppers. It had some heat(not overpowering) and a lot of flavor. Absolute re-order. The meatballs had good consistency, but the roasted peppers lacked any heat. The oil was needed with this pie. That said, the meatball pizza was a solid version of a classic pizza. The pancetta was also good, anything with roasted garlic usually is. The meatball just edged the pancetta, it was a photo finish. Solid pizza joint, I will return, gotta try that gnocchi and chopped liver crostini…

To be «good», or not to be «good»? That is not really the right question at Gusto. I mean, sure, you could theoretically eat clean with a salad or whatever but why? Why?!? Get the food calling your name — the fried artichokes or calamari and the salumi plate or burrata(holy delicious) and *then* score a pizza. Any of the pizzas, really. They’re all so good, coming out of that gorgeous Ferrara pizza oven with a chewy charred crust. It’s true Neapolitian pizza, and it’s awesome. Unwrap your napkin — this is fork and knife pizza. The Margherita has the clean, grassy aroma of perfectly selected sweet basil, and the tomato sauce is simple and heavenly. Win for a pizza kids and I can share. I recommend upgrading to the«Queen» if you know what’s good for you, i.e., buffalo mozzarella. So good! So good! I’ve had the butternut squash pizza and the lamb sausage pizza and the chicken pizza. All worth your time and money. We finished a birthday night with the ricotta donuts and a dish of Nutella to dunk them in and sat there in a sated stupor for just a sec after. The dessert menu is seasonal, with some standards(donuts), and some get-them-before-the-wind-changes sweet treats. I’ve been very happy with desserts tasted at Gusto. Trust moi. As the marble bar top is the best place to snag a seat on a busy night, you have the perfect excuse to sample one of Gusto’s special mixed drinks with catchy names(a Sophia Loren, nod to «everything you see I owe to spaghetti») and even better flavors. Wines by the glass and bottle, beer on tap, craft beers. Full bar, with some of the friendliest bartenders I’ve ever said hello to. One thing that I’ve experienced consistently at Pizzeria Gusto is engaging service, especially at the bar. The place is chic and hip, and it can get loud because the crowd is glad to be out. It’s a place to show off Okc’s new sheen. It’s a place to eat the yummiest Italian-inspired and(nearly) faithfully executed dishes. It’s a place to decide, if only for tonight, that to be «good» or not isn’t the best question.

In a fun part of town with some of the best eats(in my humble opinion) around. Pretty easy to find a parking spot nearby and never overcrowded. PG is a beautiful building that was just renovated in OKC, though keeps a lot of its old charm. I can still hear the echoes of dancers from the Bora Bora days. This is not your greasy pepperoni pizza joint. It’s a little classier and has great items beyond the pizza. The staff here is incredible. Never had bad service once. They are quick and always friendly. Great place to take a group of people too. Everyone will feel special and taken care of. The pizzas are Neapolitan style — google it for real information, but to me that means simple and cooked super quickly in a wood-fired oven. It makes all the ingredients shine. Our family loves the Italian Sausage, Lamb Sausage and Meatball ones. Other items we almost always order: fried artichokes and ricotta donuts for dessert. Trust me. Pizzeria Gusto is a great spot for lunch(½ pizza + ½ salad special), dinner, special occasions, dates, or even just grabbing a drink. The bar area is long and open with communal tables for non-reservations.

I really have enjoyed Pizzeria Gusto both times I have come for lunch. By recommendation of the server, I tried the lamb sausage pizza and house salad. During lunch you can get ½ pizza and ½ salad for $ 10. This is a great deal. It gives you a huge discount on the pizza. I loved my pizza so much that I got the same one on my second visit. While I would love to try others, it’s hard to not order something you know you’d like. I almost forgot to mention the chili oil! It’s SOOOOGOOD!!! I could take shots of this. I douse my pizza and salad in the magical concoction. It is spicy, so watch out if you like there milder fare. The service was great both times. I needed the server to translate some of the more obscure Italian words.(Sorpressa = pepperoni)

Really great causal spot! This is so much more than a pizzeria! Yes, they serve really good pizza, plus fresh salads, great cocktails, small plates all in a warm, hip, casual environment! We sat at the pizza bar. That’s right. We got to watch them make each and every pizza that was ordered and went out! Let me tell you — it was constant and the team working the pies was cool as could be! Kudos to them! I always judge a restaurant by its salad. I had the spinach and arugula with fennel and goat cheese. The greens were perfect! Just how I like them! The margarita pizza was also very good. What I liked seeing also, were the tables of very happy people! The tables were long and accommodating. I can’t wait to bring my family of 6 here!

* The food was great, but the atmosphere was LOUD. I would come back, only for lunch though. The service was quick and friendly, as well as all the food. However, since it was the night before new years, the other patrons were extremely loud. I’m talking, can’t even hear yourself think loud.

A year ago my husband and I made an anniversary trek to Italy. We traveled to several cities within the country. Our favorite place was Positano along the Amalfi coast. Located just an hour South of Naples, the birthplace of pizza, it had beautiful scenery and delicious grub. At the top of the list was the pizza with its soft yet crispy dough and fresh quality ingredients. It was unlike any pizza I had ever tasted– until Pizza Gusto. Is it as good as Italy? Of course not, but it comes pretty darn close! Their crust is pretty close to perfection. It is clearly made fresh daily. It is pillowy with a nice char and is baked in their imported Neopolitan pizza oven. My favorite pizza is their 4 Cheese($ 12). There isn’t an ounce of red sauce but instead plenty of gooey, flavorful cheese. I always splurg and add prosciutto and arugula(+$ 5). Another close second is the Cherry Tomato pizza($ 12) which also has kalamata olives, capers, peppers, and loads of cheese. Both of them are so good. All the appetizers I have tried(arancini are winners) as well as desserts have been great. And they have a weekday lunch special for $ 10 which includes half of any pizza and a salad. I really love what they have done to the once decrepit building. They have managed to keep it’s vintage charm and have turned it into a really great space. Be sure the check out their hidden patio in the back! The only reason they don’t get 5 stars is because of their less than stellar service and their cocktail prices. Service can be hit or miss but seems to be more miss with lots of awkwardness. Unless you go in knowing about specials from social media my experience is that the servers won’t volunteer the information on their own. The cocktails are fantastic but the average prices are $ 10-$ 12 and I think that is just a bit high. I would like to see them add some lower priced cocktails in the mix. Their beer list is pretty legit though with lots of local options and their wine list has some great low-price options. They get a solid 4 star«Yay I’m a fan!» from me and I am so happy to have them in the OKC pizza scene.

Beet and goat cheese salad, Soppressata pizza, and a draft Scrimshaw. The pizza was AMAZING… I will b back just to try a different one. The salad had a good flavor, but WAY too much dressing. I should have asked for it on the side, because I like light dressing, but I also prefer it tossed in the dressing as opposed to on the side. Lesson learned.

Very impressed for my first visit. They offer a nice selection of beers, both local and national brands, on tap as well as bottled. The atmosphere is very casual and at the same time elegant. The calamari appetizer was very fresh, not too breaded. We ordered two pizzas– the butternut squash and the Italian sausage. For 4 people, there was more than enough food. The service was attentive and their prices are quite reasonable. The pizza was very much like the Wedge, thinner crust(which I prefer) and fresh ingredients paired nicely together. We will definitely be back for more.

I usually don’t like to review places before I’ve had a chance to eat the dish that they’re there to serve, i.e. pizza., but their brunch was so good, y’all. Brunch consisted of a variety of non-pizza related items, and I was pleased that it was good since pizza is the main event here. I ordered the eggs benedict(sans canadian bacon, natch). All I remember was that it was Goooood, especially the side potatoes. My favorite was the make-your-own mimosa bar, which offered two of my favorite juices: pomegranate and blood orange. Yummmmm. Service was great, and we were well attended to, especially with a party of 15. I can’t wait to come back and try some of their pizza!

Mmm I can’t wait to come back to Pizzeria Gusto. I came with some friends for some drinks and pizza and I really loved it. I had some pinot noir and we started out with the meatball appetizer and the arancini, which are fried balls of risotto and cheese — life-changing. Like fried cheese but with more texture and oh so good. We all shared a few pizzas. We got the margherita, the grilled chicken and the salmon. Margherita was your typical margherita — fresh basil, tomatoes and big blobs of fresh mozzarella(using blobs in a good way here… the way mozzarella should be). The grilled chicken had goat cheese, onions and arugula, and it all went together really well. I have to say my favorite was the salmon though. It was not even something I would usually consider pizza, but it was delicious and it all went together perfectly. Smoked salmon, arugula, tomatoes, capers and some sort of caper cream sauce as the sauce. Salmon is one of my favorite foods in the world so I really loved this pizza. I cannot wait to come back to Pizzeria Gusto. Everything was so good and we had a tough time deciding which pizzas to get, so I need to come back and try more.
