I can’t believe this Papa Murphy’s location hasn’t been reviewed yet! Let me tell you the first amazing thing about this location– it is the first/only Papa Murphy’s franchise to be owned and operated by a non-profit. That’s right, this location is owned by the Dale Rogers Training Center(DRTC) and helps individuals with disabilities become gainfully employed. So not only do you get to eat some delicious pizza, you also know that your money is going to enrich the lives of others and not support some big fat cat CEO’s 13th house with a 2-car garage(I’m look at you, Other Pizza Papa!). That upside doesn’t really matter, though, if the product isn’t delicious– and that’s what is so wonderful about Papa Murphy’s. They have a great product! I have yet to try a single pizza here that I didn’t like. Patrick and I usually get the Papa’s Perfect Pizza(half hawaiian and half pepperoni) and it’s great on all the crusts– the thin crust for when we’re trying to be a little healthier, the original crust the majority of the time, and the pan crust for those particularly indulgent nights. Now that I mention it, this Papa Murphy’s is sort of like that classic Goldilocks tale– you aren’t paying a premium for pizza deliver(or take-out) that may or may not be cooked to your liking; you aren’t cooking a frozen pizza that may or may not taste like cardboard; you are cooking your own pizza that you helped create exactly the way you want and cook to your specifications. This pizza is *just right* and the employees are so nice and friendly. Emily in particular has gone out of her way to encourage me to try different toppings and options. I love their creamy garlic sauce especially with chicken. Their veggie pizzas are also fully loaded. And the meats– they really are deli quality! The price is also perfect– last night I picked up a large Papa’s Perfect on original crust and the total was $ 8.67. The better taste, friendly service, better price, and knowing that you are helping support DRTC is 100% worth driving and picking up your pizza instead of having it delivered.
