I can’t even give this place a rating after what we experienced last night. Let me say that my husband and I were regulars and always cam for the taco specials! I will give them that they have one of the best street tacos! But the first red flag was that my husband and I saw the bar tender and waitress making shots and mixed drinks and we’re drinking them. I’m not sure if that is allowed at any restaurant but if so, I find it very unprofessional! The second was a guy that walked in and appeared to be a friend pulled out a wad of money and it looked like a transaction of some sort took place but we couldn’t tell. He ended up leaving with no food to go which was odd. Third, when it was time to pay our food was rung up wrong, we had to get a refund and do the transaction all over because the waitress failed to give us the special for Tuesday. We left and discovered my husband didn’t have his phone. We came back and found his phone wasn’t there and they didn’t see it. Strange… because we were the ONLY customers in the restaurant besides the friends that came in to sit at the bar before we left. I began searching the restaurant and asking questions. I was lied to by the two friends, bartenders and waitress. One of the friends ended up going to her car while I continued to questioned and search. my husband came in and pointed out the friend going to her and still no one admitted to anything. Even with my husband pleading for his phone and why it was important for him to have. My husband became more frustrated and irate because he knew something wasn’t right. Lots of words were exchanged between my husband and bartender. We got the store managers number and made a phone call to let him know what was going on. He said he had a surveillance camera that sees everything and would find out in the morning. We drove over to the friends car to see if we could hear it ring and we couldnt. I ended up calling the police and they went out. The waitress and the friend admitted to taking the phone. They got arrested and now being charged. It didn’t even have to come to this. All they had to do was be honest and hand the phone over. I can’t believe people can be so stupid and mindless… I’m just glad we have the phone back it had new born pictures of our son, family pics and more. Not only that it’s a work phone and my husband has to have it for work since he works for the RR. I wouldn’t suggest eating at this place because of disloyalty to customers. All staff is very unprofessional. I could only imagine what else goes on. If you do eat here be wise and watch your personal belongings!

The drinks were really good! Went on a Monday night and they had $ 1 domestics making my micheladas only $ 2!!! The food was decent but some of it was either overlooked or soggy from the grease. The bistec was a bit too sweet for our liking.

The $ 10 for $ 20 Unilocal deal for this spot is a great deal. We were visiting OK City, snowed in & not interested in bad hotel food, so of course we used Unilocal to find a nearby spot for some good, hot food. The owner and waitstaff were really nice and accommodating. We got the Botana platter, and were allowed to swap out some of the quesadillas for empanadas. We also had barbacoa, carne asada, and mahi mahi tacos. The tacos were good. The Botana platter was also tasty, but our favorite item on it were the taquitos. The restaurant décor is that of a cool sports bar. Much to my husbands’s delight, the manager let us know that the restaurant has an NFL cable package. There are TV screens along the walls, and Mexican music playing over the speakers. When we go back to OK City, we’ll do happy hour here since it seems like a good happy hour locale. There were some nice cocktails and beers listed on the drink menu.

Man, where do I start? The décor is spot on for a Mexican themed sports bar. The staff was friendly and quick. And from the moment we tasted the salsa I knew we had made a bad choice. The salsa tastes like stewed tomatoes. It lacked any flavor and I began wondering if anyone from Mexico came up with that recipe. In full disclosure, the server told us to order the street tacos but after tasting the salsa that was not an option. The food was pricier than I anticipated for a lunch menu but they have daily specials that seemed super affordable. We ordered the special which was $ 4 for a burger. Let’s just say, that was the most disgusting burger I have ever tried. I say«tried» because I had 3 bites and left it for the trash. I know what some people will say, «you went to a Mexican restaurant and got a burger!?» And I would say, if you can’t make a good burger, then don’t put it on the menu and DEFINITELY don’t make it a special.

Honestly they deserve 4.5 stars but only due to slow sevice. Everything else is 5 star. This is an authentic mexican resturant disguised as a sports bar. Their service is friendly and accurate. If you don’t set at the bar the drinks are too slow for our liking. Food off the chain! Perfect chips and salsa. Queso Con Chorizo app is cheese heaven!!! Blended cheeses(no fake government Velveeta in this heavenly goodness) with sour cream, spices, and roasted poblanos all baked in a dish for dipping or put in their homemade corn or flour tortillas. Street tacos and Tortas are on point. Empanadas, quesadillas, enchiladas, nachos and their carne asada rivals any around. Their homemade sauces are a flavorful tongue burning trip to flavor town. Good selection of beers and tequila. Chilled mug beers fully dressed are perfectly executed. Great selection of flat screens for sports. Thunder games, NFL Sunday ticket, Ufc and Boxing PPV are always on. The food is very moderately priced. Especially for a sports bar that is not a chain or the typical fried frozen food ashtray dive. They are a no smoking establishment(thankfully), but they are vape friendly! I’ve held off reviewing Medio Teimpo for over a year now, selfishly to keep it our secret, special, go to. But the world must know of this gem.

Hard to find good street tacos in OKC, by far the best I’ve had in a while and really good salsa verde. The MT express food truck is good also.

If you’re unsure what to choose, let this be the answer. It tastes even better than it looks! Stumbled on this restaurant and very glad I did. Try 2 other recommended restaurants by the hotel and they both were sub par. This restaurant has incredible food. Had the adobo bbq burger for lunch and came back for dinner. Absolute must try if you’re from out of town. Walking distance from he Wyndham.

Was OK. Really more of a Mexican sports bar with tables than a restaurant. Small menu, no complimentary chips and salsa. But the asada tacos were real good and had a nice charcoal grilled taste to them. Margaritas were very simple but good, especially the blood orange margarita. Service was excellent.

This is an old Panera Bread, but I’m glad it is no longer. This place has the best tacos north of I-40. I don’t venture much to the south side of town but I assume there are some awesome joints down there. I first ate these tacos from their truck at a local bar, but then started going to their brick and mortar location. The tacos are simple and have awesome flavor, especially the Asada and Barbacoa, and they are only $ 2/taco. This reminds me, I need to go back!

I really like this place. The outside looks can be deceiving; inside it’s pretty nice. The employees are super nice and service is quick. Prices are reasonable. I went there twice during my one week stay in Oklahoma. Selected all my jams on the jukebox and had some drinks and tacos. My bartender was Jessica(if I remember correctly). One of the days I went was on a Saturday night and it was busy. She was on a roll getting all the drinks out!

We really enjoyed this place. The service was excellent. The staff was very friendly, the food was served quickly, and it was just a very fun place. They have excellent happy hour specials. Food is authentic Mexican so not what we are used to but it was excellent. We will definitely be going back.

Let’s cut to the chase: This is a sports bar. Try to have reasonable expectations and you won’t be too disappointed. Service: 2.5÷5 — We were seated promptly. We were also the ONLY patrons in the building after church on a Sunday, so that’s about expected. The waitress who wasn’t terribly charming,(but wasn’t rude or anything), explained the menu and told us the restaurant was known mostly for their street tacos. She asked us if we wanted chips and salsa(which were not complimentary) and then went to put in the order while we looked at the menu. Our food came out relatively quick, we were asked if everything tasted okay and our drinks were refilled once before we signed our checks and left. Chips and salsa: 2⁄5 The chips were crispy but seemed way too greasy and fried instead of baked. I could have done without the grease. The salsa was unremarkable. Street Tacos: 3⁄5 I ordered the first three meat options on the taco menu. I believe they included the beef, pork, and one type of chicken. Again, these were greasy and were dripping with oil. After my first bite left me feeling like I just chugged a bottle of Canola, I just picked up each taco and drained the oil off and each bite thereafter was quite satisfactory. The beef and pork were my favorites while the chicken tasted a little bland. The green and red sauces(note: not salsa) were zesty and I doused the red one all over my tacos. We passed on dessert, and after all was said and done, the tacos were pretty good, but nothing to write home about. The meat and toppings seemed fresh and my tummy was content. At the end, they offered us a coupon for 10% off our next meal but I doubt I’ll be coming back, especially since I’m rarely near the area. Overall, decent tacos, typical service. If you’re a grease lover you might enjoy this establishment more than myself. The restaurant’s name hints at it’s dining experience: Medio(cre) Tiempo.

Never again. My coworkers and I tried this for lunch via Groupon. We were seated and received our drinks and appetizer chips very quickly. After waiting quite a while(menus down), I finally was able to flag down our waitress and order. She seemed flustered and explained her tardiness by saying how busy they were(they weren’t) and that they only had two servers when we saw three plus the under dressed manager. After waiting a while longer(and two promises it would be out soon, but they only had one cook!) we got our two plates of tacos and the variety platter. The tacos were just OK. The sauce served with them(not salsa) was boring and was in to-go containers… huh? When I flagged down the manager to take our Groupon, he said«Oh, you’re one of those people.» Red flag, right there. The final nail in the coffin of this poor joint: no sooner than we walked out, my coworker with the variety platter started complaining about stomach pain, which I assumed was from over indulging. By 2 pm she had left the office to go home to… well you can figure the rest out. Needless to say, don’t go here and ESPECIALLY don’t take your friends!

I want to start by saying that the idea of the place is unique, and that’s commendable. There is no uniform by the looks of things and the girls are free to wear whatever skimpy clothing they feel like. After a while the large hard wooden chairs made it uncomfortable for me to remain sitting. By the time I got my ticket I just wanted to get out of there. That being said, the food was great. I had the quesadilla especial with asada. I would eat it again. My dining partner had the queso, and burritos and was mildly disappointed. Finally, I rarely run into a situation where I consider tipping a server under 10%. The server I had was not rude or sassy, but she was completely and unjustifiably vacant from my dining experience. I finished my drink in the beginning of the meal, and did not receive a refill until I was almost complete with my meal. WEWEREHERONLYTABLE!!! The server never checked up on us after receiving our food, except to say«want your check?» The final nail in the coffin was the fact that my server spent more time sitting at the bar talking to the bartender and manager of all people than taking care of her one and only table. I would also like to note that in the ~1 hour that I spent in this place, I did not see any of the managers great a single table. I will not be back.

We decided to stop here on the way home to finish watching the Brazil v Chile World Cup match & grab lunch. We were greeted a few minutes after walking in the door, but I understand because it was the first OT in the match. We ordered the chips, salsa, and queso and the cheese was thick and tasty but also had a «cheese wiz» flavor. I also ordered a Michelada and was pleased to have a delicious, spicy, red beer. Lunch: tacos are the way I go and are a bargain! I ordered one Discada taco(mixed meat) which was served on a super fresh corn tortilla. I also ordered one Mahi Mahi taco served on an equally fresh flour tortilla. The fish was flaky and lightly breaded, giving it the perfect texture coupled with cabbage & mango salsa. I will definitely order this again!

If you’re looking for something short and sweet here it is: Would I return? Yes. Is three stars bad? No! Now for the actual review: If you aren’t aware, Medio Tiempo is a sports bar/Mexican place. The interior is exactly as you’d expect, I assume. It didn’t surprise me any, at least. The service is very quick and friendly, even though they were very busy with a gigantic table of people. Chips and salsa 3⁄5: The salsa is pretty good and the chips are sturdy. If I had a chips and salsa craving, it wouldn’t be anywhere near my go-to. I was a little miffed that a basic set-up cost money as an appetizer, but it’s not a traditional Tex-Mex place we Okies are used to, so that makes enough sense. Empanadas 2.5÷5: I love empanadas and any cultural variation of them. Meat, potatoes, and sauce? Count me in. But this was rather bread’y and the inside contents came off as a little plain and oddly crunchy. Those ratings are a little bleak, huh? Well! My boyfriend got a burger and fries, and the fries were actually –very– good, and he loved his burger. It is possible I just didn’t make a wise choice. It had been a toss up between the empanadas and mahi mahi tacos. So I would like to go back and give them another try with what I think is a better choice.

Here for an FAA conference, they had us staying at the hotel next door to this place. Seated right away on a sunday night(at the bar since I was solo). Ordered the 3 traditional tacos. Very good, taste similar to authentic mexican tacos you’d get at a corner cart. Carne asada, ciliantro, onions and corn tortilla. As basic as you can get, and it was good. The 3 tacos were 9 bucks, a little overpriced if you as me I had 2 beers(corona and modelo), with the tacos — check came out to 22 bucks Good place for a quick bite or a quick beer

Wow! It’s rare that I have ever had as pleasurable of a time as I did at Medio Tiempo. That by the way, translates to ‘Half Time’ for all of you, who like me, English is not only our main language, it’s our only one. :) I went to take advantage of their grand open inning specials with friends, with little by way of expectations. What I found was a fun, and festive sports bar, with the best(I don’t throw that word out lightly) authentic Mexican tacos I have had since I was in Mexico. With choices between 5 different types of tacos(I had a couple of each), and enough beer and other beverage choices to please anyone, then add on wings, fries, and more and this little sports bar quickly turned into a real nice eatery. Of course good food and drink are one thing, but to rate 5 stars a place needs to have an excellent staff. Well, that was actually the best thing about my experience. The wait staff and management were on our table like a dog on a bone. Drinks were constantly filled, new condiments, chips replenished and we were asked if we needed anything else a dozen times during our 2 hour stay. Not bad for a sports bar. :) Whenever I am in the area of Medio Tiempo and craving a taco(that’s like needing air to breath for me), you can be sure I will be stopping by. Hope to see some of my Unilocal friends there.

Get ready to love this place. They’ve only been open for a few weeks, and are hosting a grand opening this weekend. The business was so new I had to add it on Unilocal, which doesn’t happen all that often anymore thanks to our wonderful community! So, we just ordered the chips and salsa, and some street tacos. I had the beef and the chicken and they were absolutely delicious. The seasoning was perfect and the meat had just enough fat to make it flavorful, never chewy. The beers were ice cold and the server was darling, and I from what I could tell the building looked spotless. The atmosphere is fun and up tempo, and they will offer specials during all the Thunder games, will show boxing and UFC, and will have some fun partnerships with Energy FC. I think we really needed a place like this in a central part of the city. My only recommendations: The price on the chips and salsa was pretty steep. I don’t mind paying for chips and salsa, but when $ 4.99 might have been a little high. Also, the parking is on the north but the entrance is on the south. There’s not a clear path from the parking to the door. They need a big neon sign for the entrance, and a big pathway from the parking to that door.
