After another company(Best Buy) messed up our refrigerator delivery, Bruce at Lowe’s saved us and our cold food. We saved $ 100, got a free ice maker, and got the appliance the very next day. Thank you for treating us like you care, Lowe’s! We will be heartily recommending your services.

We ended up at this Lowe’s location after originally trying the Enid Lowe’s location. The short version of the Enid Lowe’s experience is… they have NO customer service. Picture waiting for 3 hours, begging an employee to help you, only to be ignored. So my mom, dad, husband and I tried our luck at the Lowe’s on Memorial in the hopes that someone would finally help us. My parents are renovating a house that was build in the 1940s, with bathrooms and plumbing only slightly better than an outhouse. Already traumatized and jaded by the Enid experience, to which my dad’s response was«that’s it, I’m selling my Lowe’s stock,» we hopped we’d fair better here. Enter the helpful lady in bathrooms. She was a Godsend. She was patient, knowledgeable, friendly, and above all else… she actually helped us. Now the 4 starts is due to the fact that service here is hit and miss… but it’s a bit more hit than a miss most times. Think of Lowe’s as Vegas and you’ll keep some of your sanity. You may only wander around for 30 minutes to find someone in the signature navy vest with red piping, instead of 2 hours. My tip, be persistent and if all else fails, go to the bathroom department after 2 pm on Saturday. This lady knows her stuff.

They need more staff. Not having enough staff wastes my time. I recently purchased a special order item. There was one cashier with a line of more than seven people. I stopped at the Customer Service desk and asked if anyone there could take care of my special order. The older woman with the super-short haircut just shook her head and turned away. She did say something to a young woman who was busy doing something a couple of yards off the other direction. I didn’t hear what she said. I went back to the department where I made my purchase and asked if they could hold on to the paperwork and I’d be back another day. The man, who had recently injured his foot, went all the way to the front with me so he could finalize my purchase. The purchase arrived in a timely manner. I received a phone call saying it was ready to be picked up at the service desk. I went to the service desk. The product was not there. Again, there was the woman with the really short haircut sitting there. She was not interested in being of any help. She kept her back turned. I noticed she doesn’t smile. She should smile. It would help her look, and perhaps behave, less austere. A young woman, who had been busy elsewhere, started towards the desk. She made eye contact and smiled at me. She called the department and said I was there to pick up my order. Ten minutes later I left without my order. I couldn’t keep waiting. A couple of days later I called in advance and said I would be picking up the order and would they please have it waiting for me at the service desk. They did. I paid. I left. I’ll likely do all my hardware shopping at Ace Hardware from now on. Lowe’s needs staff. The staff they have is for the most part excellent — well-informed and helpful. Home Depot needs to fire Mr. Electric. Look for a smaller store where you can receive the service a customer deserves. My time is clearly more important to me than it is to corporate America. May they all eat dirt.
