The entrance lobby is set for guests and there’s the bar, then upstairs is the dining area. It’s fairly spacious with lots of tables. But I came for Sunday brunch and it was almost empty. I overlooked this but maybe it should have been an indicator. The reviews all rave about lunch and dinner and the reason is the brunch menu seems tad lack last luster. Started with chicken lollipops which are almost bite size. Shareable between 2 to 3 people. It has a light crust on the outside and a good sweet chili glaze. We had the steak and eggs which come with sliced steak(4 – 5 pieces) and two poached eggs. The potato square was crispy but lots of potato skins baked inside so it was a tad chewy. Didn’t care for this side. Eggs were nice and yolky but steak was so disappointing. My medium steak was not pink at all. Server warned me my plate was hot which makes me think it was probably medium before being placed under a hot lamp. Besides being chewy, it was edible. The pork cutlet was pretty large in size. It’s just a flaky, crispy batter with a sweet sauce. Nothing super fantastic about this. We also tried the eggs Benedict with pork belly. This was served on a bun. It had a tangy, slightly sweet taste. It was OK. Carrot cake was very sweet. Brittle and ice cream included. Definitely saved our experience since the food was mediocre.

I’m so glad we stumbled upon this place! We didn’t have reservations, but we arrived fairly early for a Saturday night and were able to be seated immediately. We had a baby in a stroller, so we were seated in the bar dining area on the first floor instead of the main dining area upstairs, but from what I saw of the restaurant, it’s very clean and modern. The place gives off a hipstery vibe, with a young tattooed waitstaff and variety of small plates. I started off with a lychee martini, which was just the right mixture of sugar and alcohol for my tastes. For small plates, we started with the fried brussel sprouts, steamed mussels and the mizuna salad. The fried brussel sprouts were phenomenal! I love brussel sprouts in general, but these had a tangy citrus bite that really paired well with the veggies. The steamed mussels were pretty good too, though not the best I’ve ever had. They were served in an xo sauce with bread for dipping, which I enjoyed. The mizuna salad contained salad greens, mandarin orange slices, cashews, edamame and a very light sprinkling of dressing. It was a super light salad, good to pair with a meal, but nothing to write home about. As an entrée, I went with the Korean sirloin, which came with a kimchi slaw and pommes frites. I wasn’t too impressed by the sides, but the steak was pretty great. I got it medium rare and enjoyed the flavorful butter topping they put on it. We finished out our meal with a yuzu cheesecake. I couldn’t really taste the yuzu, but I liked the nutty crunchy topping that came with it. Overall, I really enjoyed both the food and the atmosphere of Guernsey Park.

The hubs and I were very happy with with our wine Wednesday dinner at Guernsey Park. Our waitress suggested the chicken lolipops and we also ordered the beef ceviche. The chicken was nothing special. Didn’t taste bad but it certainly wasn’t anything to write home about. This beef ceviche was amazing! Beautifully seared beef on top of pesto with a side of some sort of onion rings. We intend to return and order that appetizer every single time! For dinner the hubs got the Korean ribeye and I got the Guernsey roll. The Korean ribeye was awesome!!! The steak was perfectly cooked but the Korean butter on top of the steak was what really made the meal. My Guernsey role was fresh and delicious. For dessert we ordered the carrot cake and the hub’s had a good cup of coffee with it. The cake itself was moist and tasty but didn’t have a ton of flavor. The crumbly topping and ice cream was the best part. The wine we got for wine Wednesday was a good deal and very easy to drink.

The ambience here is definitely nice. It’s a cute date night place. The food was also amazing. I got be Korean cowboy and thought it was great and my friend got the duck. I just think the food to price ratio could be a bit better. The chicken lollipops are also cool to check out!

I made reservations for my son and me at 7:30. Not busy at all when we got our seat but it took nearly 10 minutes to get our water or meet our server. My margarita was flat. I stirred and stirred thinking it was just the melting ice. Had a hard time ever finding the alcohol. My pork chop was good, a little dry on the edge but they had great sauce to dip it in. My son’s garlic chicken was under cooked. Way too watery. A manager came by to check on us, but I think my opinion was already made up. I know there are better reviews here and I’m not happy to write a negative one, but I’m just being truthful.

Had a very strong dinner at GP on a Saturday night, but it had some issues. I was a little early for our reservation, so I went to the bar for a drink. The bartender recommended Masterson’s Manhattan, which is what I went with. Great drink, I would absolutely order it again. The bar is small, only about 8 or 10 seats. But, it’s got some nice classic cocktails as well as some house creations. There is one TV as well. I don’t think I would seek GP out for drinks, but it certainly has a serviceable pre-dinner bar. We were seated promptly at our reservation time in the dining room upstairs. There is a lot of options for dining at GP, including tables on multiple levels as well as patio dining. Our seat gave us a view of the parking lot and the patio. Service was very strong throughout the evening. She was quick with bottles of wine and our dishes all came out at appropriate intervals. To start, our table went with: chicken lollipops, fried brussels sprouts, spicy yellowtail, tuna tartare, and the scallops. My favorites were the chicken lollipops and spicy yellowtail, but I liked all of the appetizers. The spicy yellowtail is sliced thin and topped with a raw jalapeño and some spicy sauce. The raw jalapeño brings some heat, and the fish is good quality. This was a table favorite. The chicken lollipops’ reputation is well-deserved. Ultimately, it’s just fried chicken with sauce, but it’s very crispy, and the breading isn’t too thick. And, it was fried very well. The chicken retained some juiciness and it’s served with a slightly sweet but not overpowering sauce. We liked them so much we ordered another go round. For $ 7 you get 7 lollipops, which is a solid deal given how good they are. The tuna tartare was difficult to dip as the crisps were very thin and broke apart easily. But, the dish was composed well and the flavors complemented one another. I would order it again, but maybe ask if they had a stronger vessel to use. For my entrée, I went with the Korean ribeye, again at the recommendation of the bartender. As my friends are all sharers, I also had a rib and a couple of sushi bites. The steak is 12 ounces, which is a good size because it’s not a dinosaur bone on a rib, but it’s also not too small. It was cooked properly to medium rare. The gochujang butter was very flavorful, and the marinade permeated the entire steak. The accompaniments(kimchi slaw and fries with housemade ketchup) were good, but the fries were overdone. The steak was clearly the star of this dish. It didn’t make me forget about Red Prime or The Ranch, but it was a very good steak that certainly offered unique flavors. The sushi(Guernsey Park roll and Spicy Tuna roll) were good, but I’ve had better. Also had worse, but these were good. I would certainly eat at GP again, but it wouldn’t be for the sushi alone. The ribs were also disappointing. The glaze is very sugary, and the ribs were overcooked. So, the sugary glaze was burned in a few spots. I can see how it would be very good if well executed, but the ribs we had were all overcooked and on the tougher side. As many other Unilocalers note, the atmosphere is fantastic. It’s clean, modern, but comfortable. Additionally, the employees were very friendly. I will absolutely return to get the steak again.

No coming back to this place. Huge mass of hair in my food! So disgusting! I was so grossed out I almost throw up! I tried to keep calm since it was a group lunch with my boss and colleagues, and I did not ask for a replace since I no longer had any appetite after seeing that! The staff tried to apologize but she did not seem to be serious about it at all. So watch carefully people! There can be trash in your food in this place!

I come to OKC for business every now and then and I like to try new things. My co-worker and I both like sushi and this was the 2nd time we visited. The first time was in 2014. We started at the bar and had some great cocktails. Then got a table in the main dining room and had one of the best Asian fusion style dinners I’ve ever had. Sushi, chicken lollipops, etc. This time we came in December 2015. Once again we started at the bar. I always go for a suggestion from the bartender(same guy from 2014). Once again, good cocktail and got the night started right. Unfortunately the main dining room was rented out for a company Holiday party so we were seated in the basement. I brought my boss this time and that wasn’t the best impression made. Fortunately, he was up to ordering«whatever» since he wasn’t really the sushi type eater, we ended up getting almost everything in the apps. The same chicken lollipops were excellent, got a couple of the complex sushi rolls, and I think I remember I ordered fish. We also ordered a bottle of Sake and we took shots out of it the course of the dinner. Really good Sake, and it kept my boss talking(and eating) which was good. Food overall was great(especially for OKC). Service was pleasant besides sitting in the basement. Server was just attentive and flirty enough to keep us ordering more and more. I think the bill came out to be about $ 180 split 3 ways. Not a bad business dinner. Next time in OKC, I’ll call ahead and make sure we get a prime table.

Guernsey Park is a nice, out of the way spot with interesting style and a creative use of what must have been a difficult first-to-second floor plan to work with. For example, the signs for directions to the bathroom downstairs are reminiscent of those in a metro terminal. We came here for lunch. It can be easy to miss if you don’t know where you’re going, because it’s tucked behind another property on a side street. –Our order– Small plates: crab dip and seared scallops Entrees: Curried chicken and Banh Mi sandwich with pulled pork Dessert: Carrot cake It was all amazing. The chicken curry was slightly spicier than my wife expected(she likes very mild food), but it was certainly delicious. With the Banh Mi pulled pork sandwich, the side of ketchup was different than I expected – sweeter than usual, and I wondered if it was a house blend. It’s great, regardless. We also split a carrot cake, which is apparently the most popular dessert on the menu. It was amazing. We’ll definitely be back to try the array of sushi and sashimi offerings, and I’ve got my eye on the ceviche small plate and a few more desserts. What a great spot! We really enjoyed our experience.

Started with the blueberry Mojito. I wouldn’t recommend it, it tasted like mildly flavored water. We then began with the chicken lollipops which were good. And finished with the gojusa roll which was excellent and I highly recommend. Additionally we ordered the pork chops. The bok choy and fried rice it came with were outstanding, but the pork chop was not exciting in comparison. We did go here for a birthday party, so there were about 14 of us. One of the guests brought birthday cupcakes for the birthday girl and our waiter awkwardly informed us that we could not consume the cupcakes in the restaurant or they would charge us for them. This is one of my pet peeves. I understand the theory behind it, because otherwise we may have bought some dessert, but once we knew we had cupcakes waiting for us there was no chance any of us would order dessert. We stood around in the parking lot afterwards to sing happy birthday and eat the cupcakes instead of inside, drinking wine. When a birthday party brings in 14 people and a forced 20% gratuity is included, there’s no need to forbid the consumption of birthday cake. So definitely choose another restaurant for your parties.

A LOT has changed since I last dined here. For one thing, the menu has changed. Most items aren’t available anymore so those Unilocal pictures are outdated. That’s disappointing because I had several favorite entrees :( The salmon is fantastic. It’s perfectly portioned with rice and lentil so you leave full but not uncomfortably stuffed. The Korean steak is still a crowd favorite but I’ve noticed that they have increased the price twice now, yet portion size remains the same. I love how clean the whole restaurant is. It’s still very noisy inside because it echoes a lot. This place is definitely not cheap eats. You’re paying for ambiance, artsy but yummy foods, great service, and you’ll get it all.

I got the Fried roll and Guernsey Park Roll… mind blowing mouth explosions in every bite. The atmosphere is really cool with a modern sleek design with great ambient lighting. The service was outstanding. I would recommend this place to anyone. I wish I lived in Oklahoma just to eat here… I give this place an A+++.

The food was pretty good. The Korean Cowboy ribeye is a WONDERFUL cut of meat, but the butter seems like excess. Although the chicken lollipops are apparently very popular, I found them to be underwhelming. The sauce is fantastic, though. Ordered the Ozeki Karatamba saké and it was delicious, dry, and smooth. The desserts are excellent. The carrot cake stands up very well, and so does the Bourbon Baba — although it grossly resembles excrement. :/I promise I’m not just being juvenile here; you guys should really consider another shape. The mint sorbet is phenomenal; I’ve never had anything like it before.

There may not be a more clever restaurant in OKC than Guernsey Park. The quality of food, the creativity in every dish, and the unique Rainey Street vibe elevate everything at Guernsey Park. The menu is simple, but as versatile as their seating options: appetizers with sushi for dinner or sushi as appetizer with entrees? Any combination works at Guernsey Park because every dish you order is thoughtfully and artistically prepared and delivers a real«wow» factor on delivery. Portion sizes are ideal for an appetizer/entrée/dessert seating. PROS: Outdoor seating, a main dining room, and two bars make Guernsey Park very versatile. Vietnamese, Korean, and Japanese fusion makes for a fun dinner. CONS: No dinner service on Sundays. PROTIP: The Thit Kho Tau is one of the most tasty and inventive meals we’ve ever had.

Guernsey Park(GP) is making quite a reputation for itself in OKC and considered one of the best restaurants in OKC. We stopped by for a drink, coffee and some dessert around 2PM. The restaurant is very modern, trendy and very LA-ish. It reminds me of restaurants in Silver Lake, CA. Silver Lake restaurants are converted homes and has the same feel as Guernsey Park. I was really surprised to see something that stylish in OKC. I was expecting fields of cows and manure. Overall, I’ve dined a lot of Michelin restaurants and some of the best restaurants in the world. I would have to say GP and Covell Park are both at least a Bib Gourmand if it was rated on the Michelin Guide. I was definitely taken back by how cheap it was for the quality of service and food. It’s definitely a must stop if you’re ever in OKC.

This place is one of a kind in Oklahoma City with its atmosphere. I had heard great things about this place and came for dinner with friends. The service was great, after every course we got new plates for cleanliness. As an appetizer I got the chicken lollipops and the gurnsey sushi roll. The chicken wasn’t really anything special, but the sushi was so delicious and fresh! I definitely recommend it As a meal I got the seafood platter with sushi rice that had shrimp and scallops with it. Everything was good, a little on the salty side but everything paired well together. I didn’t really like the sushi rice flavoring though. Nice place and handicap friendly too!

So glad I came here! Reminds me of the good food I miss in Los Angeles! If you want good food and you’re a foodie come here. Especially for the carrot cake dessert, which made me up the 4 star to a 5 star. DRINK: Special cucumber Martini with sriracha. Really strong and good! There’s a cocktail list that looks really good too. FOOD GP roll(4 stars): Good fish, nice citrus kick. Tastes fresh and hit the spot for my sushi craving. Scallops(5 stars): Cooked so well! The sauce on here is so good! If you like scallops definitely get this. Grilled Nem Nuong(3.5 stars): Pork was flavorful and noodles were good. My friend said it needed more fish sauce. DESSERT Carrot Cake(5 stars): Cream cheese ice cream was amazing! I was in heaven. Crunchy carrot shavings on top were so good. Candied orange slice was a nice touch. Everything worked so well together. I’d definitely recommend this! The Symphony(4 stars): So many different textures perfectly paired! If you like chocolate you’ll love this. I just thought the carrot cake was a little better but this was still great. ATMOSPHERE(5 stars) Cute and modern. Lots of open space. Bar gets busy from people waiting for their table and grabbing drinks. SERVICE(5 stars) Our waiter, Justin, who doubled as the bartender was so nice and on top of things. Everyone was really helpful. I came back a second time and sat at the bar with Justin helping me again! He’s really nice and welcoming. I was by myself this time but he made sure I had a good time at the bar and always kept track of my food no matter how busy he got with making drinks! PARKING Has a lot to park in but it gets packed. Otherwise you’ll have to find street parking.
