I really enjoyed this restaurant, not just the food but the atmosphere. This place had very different options on the buffet than I have seen at other Chinese restaurants, it is probably because of the added Vietnamese type foods too. My now favourite food is the bacon wrapped crab leg. The service was pretty prompt in picking up dishes and refilling water and food on the buffet. By the way, the Chinese cheesecake was interesting and tasty. I recommend this place if you want to change it up from normal Chinese buffets.

Based on ther reviews we thought we would give Golden Palace a try. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT! We went on a Thursday at 2pm and very few people were there. Best item on the buffet were the chicken wings by far! The chicken satay was so dry and chewy it was inedible. The sesame chicken tasted old and funky. Everything else was subpar at best. Maybe we went on a bad day but after our experience we will definetly not be returning!

I went here today and say it was okay. Nothing to scream about other than the price. The place is huge, big variety of food but some of the food was cold. The price is right!

I haven’t been here for many years but I have to say I am disappointed. I remember this place to have very good authentic Chinese and Vietnamese style food but everything was too much msg. I realize it’s a buffet but it wasn’t very good. The workers all had a mad face going on. My mother asked if they had a different meat for their wraps and the ladies in the back started talking in their language and when it was obvious my mom was not moving they opened some plate and gave her couple of meet then proceeded to take the other meAt and put it away like they were saving it for someone else. Also the waitress… She was clearing our table and dropped the food on my husband shoes… We will not be coming back

I divide the buffet into 2 sides: the standard buffet options and the Vietnamese food side. It’s about 8.50 for their lunch buffet and about 10.50 for the dinner buffet on weekdays. I’ve always gone to the dinner buffet, but today I had their lunch buffet, which wasn’t a big difference from the dinner buffet. I like this place because of the Vietnamese option that other buffets don’t offer. You can ask for banh cuon, banh xeo, che, and you can make your own bowl of phở, banh canh, bun bo hue, and bun cha gio with thit nuong. This is perfect for people who enjoy sampling different kinds of Vietnamese foods rather than ordering 3 – 4 dishes at a Vietnamese restaurant. I was not impressed with the standard options. Most of their foods like the baked salmon or the egg foo young had no taste and just weren’t good. Also the service was good in the sense that they took your plates away in a timely fashion, but I was there with my family reunion for about 2 hours and not once did they refill my water.

This was a fairly average chinese buffet. Nothing particularly stood out as being great or terrible, and it’s possible that I would visit it again.

I was very disappointed in their food! Employees were pleasant & brought drinks & refills in a timely fashion! Will not ever go back though, 2 different kinds of noodles were not good! Beef broccoli looked days old, garlic chicken dry, the lettuce wrap was okay! Went with my 2 grandchildren who both love Asian food, they were also very upset as we were all hungry and just didn’t want to eat the food! My granddaughter really like the ice cost over $ 33 for a 9 yr old, 13yr old & myself! Wasted money!

Have eaten here years past and it was always very good. After eating here yesterday I can say, with regret, that I am going to be finding another Chinese buffet. It smelled like rotting fish something you do not want to smell in a buffet. The only saving grace for the buffet was their introduction of a phở soup station allowing you to create a custom soup to your desire.

Wasn’t impressed. Service was alright, but the food tasted like cardboard. You could definitely tell it wasn’t fresh cooked. Tasted processed. There’s better buffets out there

I don’t know who is giving this place good reviews but they are either family, friends, employees or people without taste buds. my family took my grandma here for her birthday today and we all felt so bad because it was the WORST birthday dinner. the food was AWFUL and bland. the egg rolls tasted like they used peanut butter in it, the chicken did not even taste like chicken… then at the end when we got our tickets, we were charged a gratuity tip, now I DONOTMIND giving tips but I do not think we should have had to pay that when 1. we left her money on the table and 2. she didn’t get our food, remove any plates, or even come by our table but maybe twice. why am I tipping for service I did not get? this place sucks. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. if I could give zero stars I would.

Very disappointing. One of the worst buffets I have ever eaten at. The food was not fresh, tasted old and mist everything the I tried was just down right bad. I took one of my employees there and I felt bad that it was my idea. I love Chinese buffets but I think I would rate this one among the worst I have ever been at.

Very surprised and impressed by this buffet! Honestly one of the best buffets I’ve ever been to! I believe it was about $ 8.50 a person during the weekday at lunch time. Fantastic price! There’s a huge selection of Vietnamese, Chinese, and even some sushi! Mostly everything I tried tasted great! You can even make your own Vietnamese soups, and not just phở either! I also saw a Mongolian stir fry station, but was too full to try it! It was very Genghis Grill-esque. The banh xeo they made was so-so, but I am comparing that to my grandmother’s amazing home made kind. I loved their goi cuon(spring rolls) and the dessert selection was even pretty good! I would skip on the sushi though. The rice was really soft and wet. Normally, I leave buffets feeling groggy and a little sick, but the food at Golden Palace didn’t make me feel sick at all! I am definitely coming back!

Eh, it’s alright. Chinese fare is ok, but the Vietnamese build your own soup is the best. Don’t be afraid to try the desserts over there either. They are in little bowls by the viet station and they look like you are not allowed to have one because they are«out of reach». Just grab one, they are taro flavored mostly. If you like taro then it’s awesome. If not you will probably puke. 3 stars!

I went here with high hopes. Immediately I was disappointed. The food was okay but the reason for my one star review was the live cockroach in my drink. I will not visit this place ever again.

A friend informed me that you could order some of the Vietnamese dishes such as Banh xeo and I had no idea they even have it available at the restaurant. So I guess that interested me a bit. The banh xeo was ok but it wasn’t all that great. Their banh cuon wasn’t great either. I don’t know why but the food at this particular location doesn’t have very good quality. For instance, the coconut shrimp is all broken up and messy. I also found a nasty piece of hair on one of the shrimp(Check picture). I almost ate it until my eye caught it! It was a close call. I didn’t bother to complain because I don’t think they would do anything but apologize. Their sesame chicken was also very sloppy just like the coconut shrimp. It was a mess and wasn’t very good. The sesame chicken at the other location is very good compared to this one. I also tried their dessert and one of it was horribly made(che dau trang). I’m not sure if I want to return here again.

This place is almost always packed. That being said, it is still not that difficult to get to the good items that you want. They have a massive selection of food items, from typical Chinese buffet, to Vietnamese dishes, to sushi rolls, to a stir fry grill. As with most Chinese buffets, the desserts are pretty terrible and include pre packaged cakes, jello, almond cookies, and a couple under ripe fruits. What really impressed me was the stir fry bar. I have have plenty«build you own pasta» type dishes in my life, but this one was unique. I got the spicy rice noodle with beef and tons of fresh veggies. I would return for just this. Also, I was impressed with the selection of fresh seafood items, which included clams, crab and shrimp rolls, and even crawfish. The price was very reasonable at $ 15 after tax during the weekends and holidays and even cheaper for weekday lunch. I will go back.
