First Choice Urgent Care

We’ve used this medical clinic several times, most recently today. The waiting area is clean, receptionist is efficient and friendly, and we’ve never waited for more than 10 minutes. The care from the medical staff has been caring and professional.
Today’s visit was for my son’s sore throat — in and out in 25 minutes with strep test, school note and 2 prescriptions. Absolutely love the quickness and the care!

Got me in really quick. The NP that saw me was sweet. Wish I remembered her name.

The hours on the door says open at 8. I showed up at 8:30 and all lights were off, no one was there, not even a receptionist. I waited for 15 minutes and just decided to go to another location across town (Access Medical Center).
Another time my wife went there because she was sick, when she told them that she had strep symptoms, they didnt test her for it, the just gave her a script and sent her on her way.
This place seems like it should be run in a back alley way somewhere.

I went into First Choice Urgent Care for congestion in my chest and a sore throat. The doctor prescribed an antibiotic and cough syrup. The antibiotic came with a coupon which sent red flags up for me. She said it was new and would knock the price to $ 25. I had this feeling the drug company may have had a «deal» going with this facility to push this drug. Either way, I paid 25 for it. The cough syrup wouldn’t be ready until the next day because they didn’t carry it. The next day I was way worse! The chest pain was getting really bad. I called them to get me another antibiotic. They argued with me at first and finally relented. I could barely get words out over the phone because my voice was so hoarse. I went to CVS to pick up my new antibiotic and cough syrup. I got the antibiotic, but they said the cough syrup would be over $ 100 dollars! My insurance would not pay for it. The pharmacy and I both called First Choice. They were rude to me! They put me on hold only to say they would call me later. They said they would call me because I was the one who called. I told them the pharmacy called already. They said that was not true. I asked of they would like to speak to the pharmacist and she said no and hung up. I have never been treated so poorly by a medical office in my life!!! Do not go here!
