Epperson Photo-Video was purchased by Bedford Camera & Video. I have been there multiple times and purchased both equipment and photo developing services from them. The store is well stocked with modern photographic equipment and often well staffed to serve you. The processing area of the store is well visible but separated from the main store by a partition. They seem to be able to help with practically all of your developing or printing needs. They offer classes in various photographic subjects. Some of the staff is experienced in photography and half of them seem friendly. All in all I would say they have a good store. The problem is that their pricing is rather high. There isn’t anything they sell that you cannot buy usually at a lower cost. I’m sure this is why there aren’t many(if any) other competitors with brick and mortar stores in our metro area. I have purchased a lot of photographic equipment in the past 5 months and this place ranks low on my list of places to check due to the overpricing of their stock. Their developing and printing services are also priced high and developing time a bit longer than local processing should take but they seem to do a adequate job. All in all I think they could and should try harder to serve their customers but they are carrying on a dying tradition of local stores serving local people. How do you not recomend the only one dinosaur left?

I stopped in to Epperson Photo, which is now Bedford Photo. I was looking for 1 specific item, a reflector. They had a collapsible 5 in 1 reflector. Perfect, just what I was looking for, till I saw the price. $ 99.95. I can get this exact same thing from B&H for either $ 38.95 or $ 44.95. That is more than double what I would consider a reasonable price. I told the salesman this and he says, «Well there are five in one so it justifies the price.» No, no it does not. The ones I found on B & H were also 5 in one and the same size. $ 99.95 for this item is INSANITY! I don’t know anything about Bedford or Epperson as far a company, but let’s get real, please. I love and prefer to shop locally, but when the local photo store’s prices are a serious insult to my intelligence and try to rape my budget, I have no respect for them. I will more than likely NeVeR step another foot in Bedford Photo again. Ever. 2 hours later: I could get a 5-in-1 collapsible reflector AND stand to hold it for $ 94.95 on B&H… I can’t believe it’s been hours since I left and I’m still upset over that price! This review may continue to grow as I fume over the absurdity that is now Bedford Photo and Video. Baker Photo & Video in Yukon has the same prices as B & H on these items. I took my business to Baker’s and will from now on!

Bought a high end DSLR from this shop. Found the salesman, quick, efficient and knowledgable. Gave me the sale price of the package I wanted even though it wasn’t technically available for 4 more days. Saw the other review regarding SD cards. They do have high end SD cards(Class 10) that were on sale and were competetive, while on sale. These are not the average $ 10 Class 2 cards from WalMart. I’m surprised by the other feedbacks. I had a very good experience.

I agree with most of the negative reviews of Epperson. I’ve had more horrible experiences here than I care to remember. Example #1: I’m a semi-pro/hobby photographer and I needed to shoot an event both on film and digital. I asked for«high resolution» for the disk and when I got it back, it was all crap. You couldn’t use any of it for print. Example #2: Their prices SUCK! The most expensive place I’ve ever seen. I’ll spend my money at B&H and wait a day or two for it to arrive in the mail. Back to reality: Yes, their customer service sucks too. I’ve never seen a more condescending group of salespersons in my life. Unless you’re there to spend a couple of grand on camera equipment, they will just turn their nose up to you. I’ll probably come back and edit this post once I have time to remember all of my other experiences here… Avoid Epperson

This place is huge! The staff is so friendly and you can find anything you need. I got a guerilla pod for almost 10 bucks below list price. They seem to have a really good selection of used camera bags and equipment, too. A must visit if you’re a photographer in Oklahoma City.
