Crest is just a no nonsense grocery. No advertising, no frills, just good prices, friendly people and a good selection of products. Two weeks ago I made the mistake of not driving the extra mile down the street and stopped at a homeland to get a few things on the fly and was appalled at the prices. My go to strawberry preserves were almost two bucks more! Two dollars will get you some peanut butter too at Crest. Crest has a reasonable amount of organic produce and products and is hands down a bargain for staple foods. Whole Foods, Uptown and some of the higher end grocers all have a purpose and a place, but day to day shopping that won’t break the bank and is locally owned… Crest is best

My go-to grocery store! Never go on an empty stomach though, you will buy more than you need. But the prices are great and compared to Walmart you are getting a deal on name brand stuff. The isles are always cleaned up and if they are restocking the shelves and you come down the isle they are eager to move stuff around for you or get you what you want. Their fruits are always fresh and yummy!

There are some pro’s and con’s with this store. So I figured I’d list a few here. Pro’s: Their deli section is pretty well stocked Their prices are lower than Homeland The store is clean and comfortable The inventory is decent Con’s: The neighboring stores and parking lot are less than desirable. The traffic on Rockwell near this intersection is extremely busy and sometimes dangerous. The layout of the store isn’t the easiest to navigate. BIGGESTCON(and I hope they revise this) — THEYHAVENOGLUTENFREESECTION. If you want to buy anything gluten free — YOUHAVETOWALKTHEWHOLESTORETOFINDANYTHING. And then you have to hope it’s in stock or that they even carry it. It’s for this reason alone — I am willing to pay more money at Homeland so that I can make a quick trip in and out to get what I need. I don’t have an hour to spend trying to find something that could be anywhere among who knows how many aisles and shelves, when Homeland has a GLUTENFREE section. I really wish Crest would provide this huge benefit to their customers, as I’d shop there more than once a year and probably save a ton of money.

This is my go-to grocery store. I can always find my general groceries, but nothing really specialty. They don’t have many choices, but that’s fine by me! You can’t beat their prices and deals anywhere, except maybe the store brand at Aldi. I love the smaller baskets! I rarely fill up the big carts and I subconsciously buy more when I have that extra room. I always bring my own bags in and the checkers don’t get annoyed like I feel happens at other places.

Can we just pick this store up and move it to 23rd and May? Not that it is the best store on the planet, but it would sure be better than all the«neighborhood(not really at all) walmarkets» we have over here. I mostly just go to Braum’s if there’s a remote possibility we can get what we need there without having to go to the crummy B4L over here. And don’t even get me started on the busted-ass Homeland over here. It needs to either be completely overhauled or put out of its misery. Okay, but enough about all that. If I’m over at my parents’ house, I hit the Crest for produce, meats, bread, and any processed stuff I need(not that any of us need to be eating most of the middle of any grocery, but a girl’s gotta have her Honey Bunches of Oats, you know what I’m sayin’?). This place has most of what we need, but of course organics are still more of a novelty at this store and you pay novelty prices. They do seem to keep prices pretty low overall, and I like that they buy as much as they can from meat and dairy producers in-state. The cashiers are friendlier here than at some other grocers, so I hope that means they are paid and treated well. They almost always bag your groceries for you, and they will help you to your car if you need them to. So, again, can we please get a Crest up in here?

I started shopping regularly at this Crest Foods since I swore off WalMart a couple of months ago. The difference in quality, cleanliness and service is like night and day. And in many cases, the prices are either better, or the price differential is negligible compared to Wally World. I love their Deli, and get all my sandwich stuff there. They have also introduced organic produce and bulk foods such as brown rice, granola and other hippy-type stuff into their product mix, which saves me a longer drive to my other favorite store, Sprouts. But their meat market is the star of the show in my opinion. I worked in a meat market for 2 years in high school, so I know a little bit of what to look for. They have both choice and prime beef — prime isn’t very common in most grocery stores and you damn sure won’t find it at Mao Mart. Actually, all of their meats are generally of much better quality than… yep you guessed it. Dead horse beating in progress… So what’s not to like? It’s very clean, prices are competitive, quality is WAY better and best of all you don’t have to queue up behind half a dozen people with full baskets waiting to get checked out. I’ve never had to wait very long at all. If you live nearby, give it a try — I bet you’ll never go back to that other place.

I live in Vancouver, WA but am in OKC temporarily for my husband’s job… so far my stay here has been pretty good but until I found Crest Foods, my grocery shopping experiences were starting to make me very depressed and increasing my homesickness! There are no Fred Meyers, Safeway or Winco’s here… the only familiar grocery stores are the many Walmart’s and here they are on every corner it seems, either a Superstore or just the Market. I live in walking distance of one of the markets but try to avoid any food shopping from there and now that I have found Crest Foods, I can pretty much avoid it altogether(don’t get me wrong, Walmart has plenty of other items I need and of course their prices are low, but some of their food selections(meat & produce in particular) are of low quality as well. I was freaking out right before Thanksgiving and wondering where I was going to get all the food(I had about 20 people coming for dinner!!) and I combed Unilocal looking for the best places to shop and found Crest Foods and decided to give it a «trial run» before I made the«BIG» shop! Easy to get to from my home and about 10 minutes away. As soon as I walked in, a big weight was lifted from my shoulders! Very clean and organized, lovely baked goods, clean & healthy looking produce and the meat selection reminded me of home! Very much like shopping at Freddie’s or Safeway back home. Prices were comparable to Walmart and much cheaper then the«Buy for Less»(where I had to bag my own, which is fine if the prices are low but that was not the case, Crest’s prices are lower, more brands to choose from and they bag em’ for you!!) that I shopped at just one time and will never go back. I will be giving them a review as well and it will not be as pleasant as this one! Anyway, I am so happy to have this dilemma over! I love to cook and am cooking for 6 people each day since we are sharing a place with some of my husband’s coworkers while we are all here. Thanksgiving turned out great and the only complaint I had was when I went to purchase my turkey, they had nothing over 12 pounds!!! This was very odd to me since at home it seems the only remaining turkey’s are the GIGANTIC ones and I have trouble finding anything under 20 lbs. Our roommate solved the issue and brought a 25 lb. turkey home and saved me from having to go back to Crest Foods at the crack of dawn the next day(the Checker informed me that is when the meat dept. puts them out each day and the big ones go quick so I needed to come back at 5:00AM ummmmm???). So it worked out but it did dim my newfound happiness just a little bit and dropped their rating to a 4. Crest Foods might take heed for next year and realize that the majority want the over 20 lb. turkeys for their holiday meals and do not relish going to the store for a decent sized turkey so early that the chickens aren’t even up yet! But all in all *my* new, one & only OKC place to shop for all my food items is now Crest Foods… except for large turkey’s.

They are cheaper then WalMart and have better produce and meats. It is cleaner and the lines are a fraction of what they are at WalMart. The customer service is always better to.
