This used to be my favorite restaurant in OKC. With the new owners, the prices have raised, the service is slow and rude, and in turn the food is now just mediocre. I know multiple people including myself who have emailed the manager and we all got very rude responses in return. I can no longer recommend this restaurant.

Coolgreens is my boo. I found this place when looking for a mid-range(price) eatery close to my house. I’m vegetarian, and their menu had me salivating. This is my go-to place for food if I’m sick or hungover, though I wouldn’t mind going on a regular day either. Everything is always super clean and pretty, the workers are always nice, and honestly, the prices aren’t bad. For two meatless wraps, which comes with two sides, it’s about $ 15 before tax. I’ve spent more than that on crap food, so I feel it’s a fair price for what you’re getting here. My boyfriend and I have tried the Pacific, Harvest, Plaza Skinny and Caprese wraps from here, and they were all delicious(though the Harvest and Plaza Skinny were my favorites.) They do offer the option to add some«protein» to any wrap, for all you carnivores out there. Their sides are either pasta salad or couscous. Their couscous is my favorite I’ve ever had, anywhere. Really surprisingly good. Honestly, I was dissapointed in the size of the sides the first time I went. But they’re going by servings, so that says way more about my eating habits than their service. The ingredients in their wraps are always fresh, and they don’t skimp on the wrap portions at all. Their tortillas are fresh and warm. And you don’t regret your meal. This is one of my favorite places for take-out in OKC area. Looking forward to the next time I’m back.

This place is highly overrated for the price, and thinks far too highly of itself. Located in the once-quaint Nichols Hills Plaza, the arrival of «trendy» spots like Coolgreens signaled the demise of all that was once held dear in the area(namely Nichols Hills Drug and its beloved soda fountain /lunch counter). The Coolgreens salad is an okay one, but not worth the price you’ll pay. The romaine lettuce is spiny and unwieldy. The grilled chicken once came warm here which was a unique touch — but that’s no longer and now you’ll just pay a pretty penny to get a cold chicken breast chopped up on top. At a glance it seems sleek and modern in here — but when you look a little closer you spot the brown dead landscaping outside and the holdover pumpkins months out of date. Le sigh, we’ll just have to remain wistful about the good old days of Nichols Hills Plaza.

I ended up here for a lunch meeting and was excited to try it for the first time. I had always heard about how good this place was, but I live just far enough away from it and am almost never in Nichols Hills so the opportunity hadn’t lent itself to me. Boy, was I glad to finally try it! After much consideration, I decided to give the turkey pesto sandwich a shot at the title with a side of pasta salad. Although it was lunch time(12:30 to be exact), my food arrived pretty quickly.(Around 10 minutes) Usually, all pasta salad taste the same to me, but Coolgreens pasta salad had a little bite to it, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The sandwich was fantastic! Every ingredient blended together nicely and none of them overpowered the other. I also liked that the ingredients were a little«wet» for lack of a better word, but they didn’t make the bread soggy. The light crunch of the bread to the softness of the turkey, greens and pesto was great. I plan on returning when I’m in this neck of the woods, which is hopefully sooner rather than later!

Everyone here is always really friendly and very attentive. I always go for the caesar wrap with added seared tuna. Their wraps are fantastic and always come with a side of couscous or pasta. I usually opt for the chips and salsa. Great place all around and would highly recommend!

Very clean and perfect for a salad place ! You get lots of toppings for the amount you pay. The salad is big enough for two people to share if you wanted, gets pretty busy around lunch so go before the rush or after ! Nice seating outside

The salads are tasty, but they are rather expensive for what you get.

I had the chipotle ranch wrap. It was absolutely delicious and very filling. It came with a side of couscous. I’m normally not a fan of sweet couscous but the little bit of a sweet note it had was perfect for the flavor profile.

I appreciate Coolgreens’ concept. Fresh salads in a casual and mellow environment. Honestly, OKC needs more places like this! I got the summer Thai salad. I was attracted to it because of the sliced coconuts, mandarins and a tasty vinaigrette. Needless to say the salad was indeed fresh; made with yummy healthy greens always a plus with salad(and no iceberg lettuce! Which really functions as cheap and non-nutritious salad filler). What threw me off was the price! $ 14 for a salad! Which let’s face it, is basically restaurant prices! At least at a restaurant I wouldn’t be getting my own drink and silverware and bussing my own table and grabbing my own condiments. So while the salad was undeniably delicious and fresh, I would say you could get the same quality elsewhere and get«serviced» a little more.

I would like to give this five stars but they have disappointed me. I was a big fan of Cool Greens and their organic produce and so many healthy options! Loved that you could buy good healthy vegetarian food. I was automatically in love the first time that I ate here. Its been some months since I have visited and I recently paid a visit as I was craving a delicious salad. But I was sadly disappointed to see that they added a coca cola soda kiosk. To each his own on what liquid you consume, but it made me wonder if Coca Cola had purchased Cool Greens, and if that is the case then I feel I can not trust the ingredients that Cool Greens uses. At one time they promoted organic greens but I noticed that isnt part of their mantra anymore. I guess money talks for a million dollars. They also used make their yogurt fresh daily without additives but seems that has changed as well. Not to say i will never eat there again but it makes me question whether their salads are anymore healthier or fresher than Mcdonalds. You definitely pay a lot more for their salad then a MCD salad, cant eat here for less than $ 20 if you include drinks.

Cool Greens never disappoints. If you’ve ever had Sweet Green in DC or New York, than this is its counterpart and actually the inspiration for starting it in OK! It’s always what I need when I’m craving something fresh or need to detox with a healthy meal. I’m a a salad girl so I always do a build your own salad although the seasonal special is usually always amazing! Some of my favorite salad ingredients are the mango salsa, jerk seasoning and the jalapeño lime vinaigrette dressing! Tip: the salads are huge so I often order a full and get the dressing on the side so I can take half home or I order a half salad. It’s cheaper and the perfect size! This location is the original Cool Greens so I think it’s the best. They have it down, it’s clean and has a great vibe!

I really adore this place. I frequent this location and the one in Norman when I am in the area, both have outside seating which I love. The staff is always very pleasant and the food is always fresh. I have yet to find a salad bar anywhere else that has the quality and variety that coolgreens has. My favorite on the menu item is the Southwest Harvest, I get it as a salad or a wrap depending on my mood, both are delicious! I usually change 1 ingredient and the dressing, they always accommodate my request with a smile. All their dressings are gluten free which is a bonus. The build your own salad is a great way to get exactly what you’re craving. I’ve had a few of their soups and they are spot on. They have pizza, sandwiches and FroYo too but I have yet to try it, but they sure look good!

I used to lovvvve love love love Coolgreens. I mean, I had been a customer since they opened, and I would sometimes come here once a week to eat. The portions were huge. I was always full and everything was delicious. And I felt great, too. I felt lucky to have a place I could get a really quick, filling, healthy lunch. And then I went a few weeks ago. My experience was totally different. I bought a salad/soup combo, the special, and felt totally jipped. The salad filled my to go container less than half way, and the soup was half full. Since I was paying more for the additional soup, and I had gotten the combo before which had way more salad, I thought it was just an individual oversight, so I asked for more lettuce. She said no, that’s how they do the combos now, that before I was getting too much. What??? How much more would it have cost the restaurant to add another handful of lettuce? It was just a weird response. I left feeling ripped off, but ate the salad and soup, and was still hungry. Apparently the restaurant sold and there is new management. It makes me really sad, because I just don’t feel like paying premium and still being hungry afterwards.

If you’re wanting something light, definitely come here. This was a surprise date for me and I was able to half a flatbread and salad. The ingredients were fresh and I loved the salads on the menu. They knew how much dressing to put and the ratio of the vegetables was very good. For some reason, their water tasted very clean. They use the crushed ice which seemed to make the water extra cold and crisp. Use your keep it local card and you get 10% off!

This place is fantastic! I’ve been here 4 times now and have had a great experience every time. Last time I had the caesar salad and the other three times the Harvest Salad(I think that’s what it’s called). The caesar salad was so good and HUGE! My boyfriend and I split it(Tip: you can ask that they put your salad on two plates) and it was like I had ordered two salads there was so much food! Also, they are doing a customer loyalty program. I forget the name of it, but when you go there, they have it advertised. It’s an app-based program and you don’t need to remember your punch card, plastic, card, whatever, it’s instead actually linked to your credit card or credit cards of choice. I like that because I often lose those little punch cards so with this I don’t have to worry about keeping track of anything. Plus, you get a free small froyo with two toppings when you join!

I’m waffling on my feelings about Coolgreens. I’m starting to think it’s a little overrated… I can’t believe I’ve flipped on Coolgreens and Green & Grilled, but here it is: Green & Grilled is better than Coolgreens in my humble opinion. Oh, you want pros and cons? Okay, why not… Pros: I think I enjoy the food… sometimes. Everything tastes fresh if not entirely exciting. The customer service is great(usually), and you’ll leave feeling light and… full of sunshine and… stuff. Also, they have KeepItLocalOK discounts. But… Cons: A lot of the food I’ve tried lately is, honestly, boring. I also don’t think the prices are proportionate to the food that’s offered. Sure, the salads are big and yay for big salads so you can have more of the boring food stuffs but it’s ehhh, especially considering that all of it is just… ehhh. See, I can’t even explain it, that’s how bored I am. «I think I’ll add salmon to the salad(or some other protein) to spice up the ehhh, and a drink because why not?» Suddenly I’m $ 15 – 16 in the hole, the salmon isn’t even that impressive. Then I’m left wondering«…Why did I order this?» Now you’re probably saying, «But you’re eating healthy, so obviously there’s a premium for healthy food. This isn’t McDonald’s you cheap jerk.» Yeah, see about that. The nutritional information is posted on the glass near the counter. It’s not as healthy as you would believe. So that’s not even a valid argument. It’s mostly just you tricking yourself into feeling better while you jump on the Whole Foods bandwagon. I’ve ended up at this particular Coolgreens for lunch a number of times in recent months, usually with people who are vegetarian, and/or people wanting to enjoy a «healthy meal.» I usually leave feeling a resentful urge to kill a cow. The most recent visit, I got soup because I didn’t want to be disappointed after spending $ 15; the soup was decent, but nothing magical. Also, if you order anything other than the vegetarian options, it will be quite a while before you get your food. 20 – 30 minutes sometimes. So if you’re a vegetarian and you want to enjoy a «healthy meal» this is certainly your jam. But Coolgreens mostly makes me think of Buzzfeed’s «How Basic Are You?» quiz. Number 120 should read: «You really like restaurants like Coolgreens.»

Two words: turkey pesto. My goodness, I couldn’t have enjoyed that wrap more if I tried. It usually comes as a sandwich but I chose to have it as a wrap instead and boy, was I full! One half of a wrap is a lot more filling than it seems like it would be. I should’ve made it last for two meals but it was so good I just had to finish the whole thing in one sitting. The pasta salad was alright but I’ll probably give the cous cous a try next time instead. Coolgreens isn’t cheap but you get what you pay for: high quailty, organic food. I already find myself craving the pesto again so it might not be too long before I’m back…

We both tried a different build your own wrap and we split both so we could try two different items. We also shared a skinny pizza which was amazing! We will be back for sure! Restaurant is nice inside and the employees are very nice.

I’m quite the regular at Cool Greens and always leave happy. Today I had the Southwest Harvest salad.. .they sadly ran out of dried figs, and I honestly wasn’t as pleased with my salad. Look at the picture I uploaded & tell me that doesn’t look like a healthy, fresh meal! Pros: their service is always impeccable, the food is always fresh AND healthy, & the environment is hella chilled out. Cons: I usually frequent the location at Avondale, but this time we went to the location downtown. There is massive construction going on out there and it can be hard to find parking, so be prepared! It can get real busy around lunch time rush(any location I hypothesize) I highly recommend: skinny pizza, southwest spicy wrap or salad, and if you’re up for it their smoothies are so delicious.. . I give a 4⁄5 based on the speedy service, fresh, tasty & healthy food.

Thank goodness for Coolgreens. For multiple locations, for letting me pick what I put on my salad, or into my wrap. For having chickpeas and arugula. For Asian Shrimp salad. For grapefruit Izze and grapefruit fro-yo. Seriously, from the bottom of my probably-already-clogged-artery-heart, thank you. I needed Coolgreens. I needed to know that with the properly fresh and yummy ingredients, I can imagine eating a salad or a wrap or a super thin crust flat bread pizza thing every day of my life. I don’t need fries with that. I don’t need a diet coke. Or a roll with butter. This location also boasts easy parking, a nice patio, and lots and lots of beautiful people. Unlike some of the parts of some of the patron’s beautiful bodies, everything they serve here is natural. Just kidding. Kind of.
