Cock o’ the Walk Bar & Grill

Great burgers (the other food that I saw looked great, too), good beer prices, fun atmosphere. Great place to eat for our one night in OKC.

The cheese burgers are amazing!!! I don’t drink so I can’t talk about anything I don’t know about but I can assure you this… I’ve never been able to finish the burgers because it’s SOOOOO big!!! Very reasonable for the price. And was juicy!!! The veggies were fresh and the fries and onion rings were both yummy!

[COUGH… cough, cough] This place is easily the smokiest bar I have walked in for probably 10 years. Literally everyone in this place lights up cigarettes… I found it disgusting. The beers were cheap, but if you don’t smoke (and I don’t) you will find it intolerable to enjoy it.

Probably my favorite place to get a drink when I visit OKC for business. Why? I feel like the setup is something you’d see on a 80’s sitcom scene inside a bar. The bartenders are all friendly and very attentive. The drink prices are really cheap compared to where I am from. The food, while limited and standard bar food, is good and also REALLY cheap.
Great place to watch a game and of all the places I’ve ventured out to in OKC, they have the most stable weekday crowd of any other place.
Also, while I see a lot of reviews mentioning the smoke… I have to say while smoking is noticeable and unpleasant in a lot of OKC bars, I hardly notice it here. Not sure if they have better ventilation or what– but it really didn’t bother me (former smoker here).
I’m a big South Carolina Gamecock fan, so I purchased a garnet shirt they had for sale– been meaning to each time I leave OKC.

Hubby & I had the most epic Halloween night at this place last year as you can see from all the pics! lol :))
We stop by once in a while to shoot a game of pool or have a quick drink but it just gets way too smokey bc it’s such a small space & it fills up quick with patrons that bloody chain smoke like a locomotive! Lol
If the smoke bothers you like it does us, you have to time it just right & get there early b4 the smokehole’s get there. We usually bounce over to Cousins when it gets to the point you can’t see your hand in front of your face :(
The food is pretty good too. I actually like their hot wings, french fries & chili cheese burger better than Cousins & not just bc it’s called «The Big Ugly.»
It is ugly but it’s pretty tasty! LOL
However, trying to find a parking spot can be a pain in your arse as well. You might have to make the block a few times.
Other than that it’s a bloody brilliant dive bar with good times.

This is our cheers bar where every one knows your name! Love it! Friendly staff, great drink prices– order a club special, delicious!

Needless to say, with 81 check ins, I am long overdue with this review. As cliché as it is to call this place my Cheers, that’s exactly what it is. Go in more than twice and the staff becomes invested in you. The regular patrons extend from old war heroes to old souls. Weekend evenings are obviously a younger crowd, but weekday crowds cover the spectrum. Literally, ANYONE can feel at home here… as long as you’re okay with good people, cheap drinks, decent pours and the amount of cigarette smoke generally associated with an Oklahoma «hole in the wall». They have TVs, free pool on Mondays, free BINGO on Tuesdays, free trivia on Wednesdays and free smart @$$ responses when you have it coming. I highly recommend this superb establishment to both locals and wandering spirits. And, occasionally, when I forget lemon on fish night, they don’t give me too much grief if I slip a wedge into my pocket.
Five stars today. Five stars it will stay.

Good for a couple beers, non smokers hate it here.

What is there not to like about this bar? I always run into people I know and seem to make tons more friends every time I come.
Equipped with several pool tables, an iTunes jukebox, some electronic golf games and lots of TV’s you will never get bored here.
The bartenders are always fun and will make you any type of drink or will make up one to suit your tastes. Don’t forget your ID, they always have a door guy and on Wednesday nights they have trivia where you could get your bar tab paid!

This was my second or third time here and great service/​drinks as always.
I met one of my friends here after work to enjoy a few drinks. We chatted with some of the other after 5 professionals who were seated at the bar near us.
Bartenders were attentive. I will return.

Definitive neighborhood bar. This is one of those places «locals go». Food is top level for greasy bar food. The chips and salsa are excellent!
They host team team trivia nights amongst other nights.
Only real complaint is its smokey but you can’t fault them for that.

Nothing special about this bar. Typical dive bar. Go with friends and you’ll have a descent time. I think they have draft specials on Monday nights during football season.

Bit of an older crowd but not a bad place for a few drinks and watching a sports game. Had more of a sports bar vibe but definitely a must visit if bar hopping along Western.

You want to play darts, pool or listen to some great tunes this your dive bar! Drinks are decently priced and the staff is very nice!
And… If you are single apparently it is the place to go… I wouldn’t really know much anymore but I do know of 3 couples who met their better halves at this very place!

The bar is really smoky, you can’t tell when you’re there but when you get home and your clothes smell like smoke, it hits you. Their bartenders were really nice! We asked for their recommendations and they made us some awesome mixed drinks. The Jamaican Raspberry was really good, its was fruity and tasty but not too much kick. The Four-​by-​Four has a good amount of liquor in it and it tastes good too! I think its $ 11 so a little pricey for one drink for me, but if you wanna get drunk without the bitter taste of alcohol then I recommend this. We also got a green apple drink which was good.
They had pool tables which were really fun to play at after having a few drinks. They also have TVs and an electronic darts board. I thought the jukebox was really cool cuz you can search through thousands of songs but its a dollar per song you wanna play which I’d rather spend on alcohol. DON’T GET THE TABLE IN THE BACK! If its right next to the jukebox then you’ll regret it. It’s so hard to hear anything and can’t really get a good view of the tv screens. It was really crowded when I went (cuz it was saturday). You can wear pretty much anything here. There’s a ton of different types of people here so come in a tshirt and jeans or wear a dress with some heels, doesn’t matter.
I’ve been to better bars in OKC, not the first place I’ll think of when I wanna go out.

This is by far my favorite bar in the entire world! It’s small, casual, friendly, and fun! I’ve been coming here for years and when I moved to Texas, I realized no other place compares. It’s a very small bar but the owner and bartenders are very friendly and make you feel at home. The best part about this bar is that you see a wide variety of people here. You see doctors and lawyers, college students, old and young, and every ethnic group you can think of. In the daytime, you see the regulars and can sit down at the bar and talk to them for hours. At night, there’s a line to get in and you see a more trendy crowd but you can still see a wide variety of people. Shout out to Mason, the best bartender there!

This is my favorite bar in the world! I’ve been coming here since 2005! They know how to make a mixed drink, but the draft selection I limited that’s the only down fall. The bar staff has always been incredibly friendly and fast. A special shout out to Dusty and Corey you guys rock!

People may call this a dive bar, but I think its a little classier than that, by a smidge. Ned’s in Tahlequah, Ok is a dive bar. This place is well lit and tidy. I went with a group of friends on a Friday after a long week and we had a blast. That night, the place was full of people just off work trying to get a drink. Some looked like lawyers, some looked like office workers, some were students like us, and others were blue collar. Loved it. There was one bartender when we got there and she was pounding out the orders. Didn’t get her name, but she «owned» that bar, very efficient. We ordered the cheese fries to soak up some alcohol, and they weren’t bad.
There are a few (maybe 8) tables for 4 or 5 people. This place is okay for small groups of 4 or less. We pushed two tables together for our group of 10 and when another large group came in, all 8 of them were crowded around the only other remaining table. So, I’ll say its good for groups if you can get there early.
There is parking a block up, across from a church if parking out front is taken. My tab for a shot, rum and coke, schooner of beer, two pints was $ 22. I’m pleased.

OKC what up! The ‘Cock’ is a nice little dive bar nestled off Western. It has fantastic signage out front, a great name and logo, and it was smokey as hell, with much better looking people than I expected :-)
Stopped in for a quick honest Tullamore Dew and a t-​shirt, and i was off. If I get back to OKC I am down, maybe stay a couple days and fight off a hungover or nine.

Thanks to the lovely bartender at Maker’s Cigar lounge we decided we must get a cab and come to Cock o the Walk. First off, I love a dive bar. Second, I love when bars have the word Cock in the name… for obvious reasons. hehe
YESSS this is what I am talking about. Large U shaped bar in the middle of the room and tables also scattered about. The bartender was a goddess of alcohol provisions… she made strong drinks and once she noticed I was squeezing the lime into my drink she started doing it for me. I assume there was a jukebox — it started out mostly country but by the end of the night I was hearing booty shakers too. The crowd was all over the place… youngsters, elders, dressed up ladies, dressed down rednecks, cougars, hot boys, and even some gay peeps up in the club! I love a bar where all ages and types can come and chill out with some stout drinks and have fun. And you can smoke inside which makes the dive bar ambiance pretty much complete in my world. Only one bad thing in this whole joint was the one seater bathroom.
The kicker and the reason for the 5 star rating: after drinking probably 7 or 8 vodka sodas (don’t judge me, I’m Scotch-​Irish damn it) my tab came: it was $ 20. Holy Lord I would DEFINITELY be here every weekend if I lived in OKC. I still can’t believe my tab was that low. Can I get a HELL YEAH?!
