My favorite coffee shop in OKC. I make sure I stop by at least once a week or more, I line near Edmond. I never regret the trip. The owner is really nice and sweet, she is always smiling and here good mood is infectious. I recommend the Americano. It’s good and has a great kick, perfect way to kick-start my day.

I love this place! It’s located in the OKC underground, which is already such a cool place to visit. It’s very close to my office, so whenever we go the staff recognizes us and they are so kind. The coffee is really tasty as well, with a variety of flavors! If you ever find yourself exploring the OKC underground, definitely stop by!

I work downtown and this is probably the closest coffee shop to me, so I stop in every once in a while. The employees are super nice, friendly and welcoming, which is always a good thing. I haven’t tried any food there, but their coffee drinks are pretty good. It’s a cute, hole-in-the-wall location that’s a convenient stop for downtown employees.

Upgrade! Visit 2: I dropped something off at the Post Office and had a sudden urge to buy a sweet coffee drink. I normally opt for Starbucks because I know their drinks are at the right sweetness level for me. The lady at the counter was super nice and helpful and made some suggestions based on my palate. I tried a cold drink similar to a Caramel Macchiato. Yum! It was actually a tad stronger than I would like, but good enough for me. Visit 3: There is a little sign that advertises their daily combo– Burger + fries and a drink for $ 6.99 Pretty good deal I thought. So I gave it a whirl. The french fries were super crispy and had a touch of seasoning salt sprinkled everywhere. It really hit the spot!!! I thought the burger was okay, not mind blowing. Now I know where to go if I want french fries or a sweet fix!

I have been going to The Buzz on and off for years. I recently started working downtown more often and finally stopped by their new location. For those of you who don’t know, they’re now in The Underground right by the BancFirst teller downstairs. It’s a nice location once you know where it is(the map is correct on Unilocal, but just know it is downstairs). The Buzz is a special place. It isn’t a Starbucks(thank goodness) and it isn’t a full-menu restaurant… so sometimes it isn’t what I want. But, when I have a minute and want something warm to drink or a good salad or sandwich, I try to remember them. The owners and staff are really friendly and make you feel appreciated for coming in. I love their salad with chicken. It is simple and flavorful… I’ve tried to recreate it at home and it just isn’t the same. I don’t actually like coffee so I usually get the salad with chicken and a milk steamer with toasted marshmallow flavoring. Its _really_good.

Excellent coffee that puts the assembly line chains to shame. After reading the previous two reviews, I felt some things were a little unfair. I’ve been going to the Buzz off and on for many years. If anything could be said about Tim and Ali, it is that their opening hours are very inconsistent. Sometimes it’s 7am, sometimes it’s 8am. Granted, they are parents who cart their kids to school, etc, but business is business. You should open at 7am. As far as both reviewers comments about finishing conversations, they are a little talkative with their regular customers, asking how they’ve been, etc. I don’t consider that a bad thing really. The insinuation that they are racists is completely ludicrous. The very likely reason people got their order ahead of you is that they accept call in orders. So you can call or fax in your order and it will be waiting on you when you arrive. Overall, I think the average person would have a great experience coming into the Buzz. Their espresso/cappuccino drinks are incredible… which is how they got that customer base to ‘chat with’ in the first place… Anyway, give them a try at their new location at: 101 N. Broadway Ave. They are not on the corner of Robinson/Park any longer.

I spotted this«café» after one of my trips to Midfirst Bank which is right around the corner. On my first trip I was greeted by two hipster-looking kids whom were a little bit older than I am. They were both friendly and nice. I ordered a chicken salad and a latte. When they bought me my food the chicken salad wasn’t the way I pictured it. The chicken was shredded and was thrown on the greens in a way that made it appear as if it were vomit. Since they were both so nice I kept the chicken salad and gave it to my friend in a doggie bag and sipped my bland latte that tasted just like strong-brewed black coffee. They are so lucky that I am nearly impartial to my coffee! The second time I went to the Buzz was with a relative. On my earlier tryst I saw that they served smoothies. This was around 11:30 on a friday afternoon. We beat the lunch rush by about 10 minutes. As we got in line, we had to wait for the owner to stop having a conversation with a friend. After he finished chatting, he took our order. As the lunch rush came in, everything began to look different. The two young hipster kids gave the café a young, alive feeling. However everyone that came int he lunch rush were 50 years and up and they all seemed to have their noses up in the air. We ordered way before the lunch rush crew however we were the last two people to receive our orders– and they were ONLY smoothies and not full-course meals as were everyone else’s. I was so embarrassed that I brought a guest to this establishment. After we left she talked about them like they were dogs to everyone that we know. She said she’d never been so abruptly discriminated like that before. I’m not one to play the race card or anything, but even me as an optimist observed their blatant actions. This is downtown Oklahoma City, not the deep south, well, atleast not the last time I checked. I love to go out and eat lunch and this is the first time i’ve left a restraunt feeling angry and just plain HURT. So I guess… if you want less than decent service BUT by nice staff– you have to wait until atleast 4:30 and you MIGHT be able to catch absent-minded hipsters kids. Or if you’re a wealthy white businessman/woman whom carries a briefcase-this just might be the spot for you ALLOFTHETIME. Word to the wise: Olive skinned, dark-haired people go to Quizno’s, it’s just around the corner! Better food, better service, and it’s the only place where 1 sandwich will fill you up until dinnertime.

I understand that this is Oklahoma City and folks roll-up the rug at 5 and downtown becomes pretty deserted. From the outside, my first impression was that I thought the place was going to be pretty trendy. They had a really cool logo with nice big street-view windows. When I walked in, I felt like I was in a tacky thrift shop. The chairs looked like they came from those old Pizza Hut stores. There is no atmosphere or ambiance. I stood around for about a minute while the owner finished his conversation with an apparent regular. No hello, no recognition that I was there, nothing. He informed me that he was closing but offered to let me hangout while he closed up shop, which I guess was nice. I asked if there were any other coffee shops or places where people go to hang out and with WiFi access. He mentioned the Starbucks in Bricktown. He then mentioned the Coffee Slinger(which is where I ended up, very happy by the way). He concluded by saying what a Neo-Nazi the lady was about using their coffee mugs(I bought 2), and how they only had one size(but offer refills). I could tell there was some bitterness about something. Anyway, I guess if you want a rating based on the product or coffee, I can’t give you that, but the service and the environment was less than pleasing.
