The customer service is atrocious. Total lack of knowledge from almost every salesperson. I spent an hour in this location and watched salesman pass me by or watch me trudge up and down the aisles looking for potential Christmas gifts. I frequent this location because it’s close but do not recommend it for anyone who wants advice. If you know what you want, the slip in, pay, then slip out. The few staff members who were knowledgeable were arrogant and condescending.

They don’t have hardly any computer parts for being an electronic store. I guess I’ll have to get it online from amazon. By the way that’s. What the store rep said as well just get it on amazon. Pretty pathetic !

It would have been a three star Best Buy, except for Eric. We’re looking for a fridge, and Eric spent a lot of time helping us find the right one. He was friendly and funny, and very good at his job. He was able to put our list of features in to the computer and pull up what all they had in stock that fit that package, and even asked a manager to help us out a little on the price. Since the fridge was already on clearance, they weren’t able to do that, but I appreciated him for asking. He answered all of our questions, and didn’t pressure us when we weren’t ready to make a decision. I don’t think they work on commission and his style certainly suited me. If we end up buying from Best Buy, we’ll go back and find him. Pro Tip: doing this kind of shopping at 6P on a Saturday night will ensure you’re one of the only people in that section, and you’ll get a lot of personalized attention, which I doubt you can expect on a busy weekend afternoon.

The store on SW3rd street is # 1419, and the one on North May is #220. I give 1419 a 2⁄5 because honestly #220 seems to have a better selection of just about everything I’m looking for(which is usually movies or video games). Prices range from awesome to desperate. Most large items are competitively priced, as well as media items like movies, games, and music. The Reward Zone program is great if you shop there often, but not a make it or break it deal, considering the«reward» comes down to about 2% back in $ 5 increments. Black Tie(Geek Squad Protection) Plans have been dwindling in value over the years. Buying or skipping said plans is a gamble either way, though I personally don’t see the value in paying an extra 20−30% to insure my purchases against normal wear and tear, so I really only buy the ones that include«accidental» coverage. Saved my butt once with a laptop that was overheating and melting the motherboard, but on the replacement I felt burned because I never used that plan and it finally expired. Like I said: Gamble either way. Most of the employees are friendly enough. The Managers I’ve spoken with have all been great with their people skills. Sadly between all the constant gimmicks and promotions they run(to compete with Amazon, Walmart, Target, etc…) their knowledge of their own special deals is sometimes lacking. Most recent example I have encountered was their«upgrade and save» promotion where you bring in a DVD and get a $ 5 coupon towards the purchase of a $ 9.99+ blu ray. Long story short: a couple of blu rays were being«rejected» by their computers for the use of the coupons, and after speaking with 2 customer service, one geek squad, and a manager, nobody could explain why. It also took that many people before they stopped giving me the«it won’t work, pick another blur ray» attitude, at which point the manager was kind enough to have the blu rays discounted for me. One of the more recent developments I’ve discovered(and had confirmed by the employees), in the past year or so they stopped having employees work in the games, movies, and music sections. Oddly they outsource this job to a merchandising company that shows up for a few hours here and there(if you spot one, they usually have white polo’s on and don’t often approach customers). I am not sure how this saves them any money, since they are paying a company to pay these employees to come do the job Best Buy employees used to do. Unfortunately this leads to the media departments no longer having employees to help you find a movie(lets be honest; the movie you’re looking for could be «in line,» on an end-cap, in one of 2 – 3 sale sections, or even in Home Theater). This also means there are no dedicated media sales associates to comb through the movies/cd’s/games and find misplaced copies, stolen merchandise, or simply to «front» everything(make it look nice/orderly/presentable). This also means you need to keep a watch on the sale price tags. I’ve found an unfortunate increase in «expired sale tags» as of late. Luckily the cashiers will often do a price-adjust for you if this is the case. But beware: they do not have to do this, since the sale tags have an expiration date written on them. All in all it’s not a bad store, but the selection isn’t as good as the North May location, and lets be honest: Best Buy is not exactly cheap when it comes to their warranties and«accessories» like cables, battery packs, protective cases, etc.

It’s whatevers. Just shop on Amazon, trust me you will save hundreds of dollars and gas money. Best Buy likes to take your money, eat it, then laugh at you for falling prey to their prices! Now, I sound cheap, but I can’t lie. Best Buy is not a good deal!

I pre ordered a video game for my step son COD Black Ops. The game out on Nov. 9th and I received an email on the 6th that my game had been shipped. The game never showed up on the 9th. Called on line customer service and they said there nothing they can do about since the game has already been shipped. They said it could be here as late as the 16th. Why would I order a game that comes out on the 9th and wait until it’s mailed to me when I could of picked it up at the store the day it came out. I will never a game on line from they again.

Fairly new store built on the west side of OKC. Friendly and fast service, decent selection of items, but a lot of things were out of stock with regards to computers, however, it is back to school season at the moment. Got a great netbook at a great price. They can be a little pushy on trying to sell you the add-ons when it comes to your computer, plus this, plus that, plus set up, plus, plus, plus, before you know it you can spend another $ 150 on things you can do yourself or are just unnecessary. Mobile phone department customer service could use some improvement. I went in to purchase an Otterbox for my iPhone and a netbook… I left with the netbook. Since I was ignored in the mobile phone department I will spend that money elsewhere… hmmmmmm. Hope that«I’m to busy talking with my buddies to pay any attention to the customer» was worth it guys. Left a large purchase on a bad note… not a good thing. Overall it’s a decent store. I would say do your homework before you make any large purchases. Check your prices and your technology, be an informed shopper so you don’t get stuck buying something you find that eventually you don’t like or that doesn’t fit your personal needs. Check prices online before you go in. If you’re spending more than $ 150.00…sleep on it after you look at it. It will be there tomorrow. Just a tip that has always worked well for me!
