Wings-N-Things

I am a Wings n Things lover/​old timer. I have been eating their chicken probably since middle school when the closest location to me was in National City. Of course I was ecstatic when one in Eastlake opened up.
I get their chicken strips because I feel as if they’re more tender and delicious than with bone in. Not to mention, you get more meat with the strips. My favorite flavors here are mild and mild garlic. Those are the go-​to, original flavors for Wings n Things. As for any other place like Buffalo Wild Wings or Wingstop, I definitely go with lemon pepper, garlic Parmesan, BBQ and all that good stuff. But when it comes to here, like I said, mild and mild garlic are the way to go.
Their breadsticks are heavenly. Always warm, with a melt in your mouth innards, and a harder (but not stale) outside. If you’re feeling extra risqué, add extra butter and garlic to the breadsticks. I know. It sounds like a heart attack, but it’s amazing. I love that at Wings n Things they give carrots and celery with ranch with the meals, also.
I’m not too knowledgable about customer service anymore considering the last time I dined in was around two years ago. Nowadays, my family calls to order for pickup. Prices have gone up over the years, but nothing too drastic.
One thing I am disappointed in is when they don’t give a lot of sauce with the chicken because my family likes to dip our chicken/​breadsticks in it. Other than that, ily WnT.

I prefer this place over wing stop because I like getting the strips here. They are way juicy and tender!
Usually I get their 8 piece tenderloin strips meal, which comes with veggies sticks and breadsticks. With their sauces I like getting their garlic mild or just plain mild. And I ask for extra sauce because I like dipping their delicious garlicy breadstick with the sauce.
Their newest item on the menu is their buffalo fries, which is fries topped with chicken bits with a sauce of choice, cheese and some kind of dressing. Pretty inconsistent because sometimes you’ll get a whole bunch of fries and other times they barely fill up the plate.
Overall I’ll keep coming back here because of their sauces and breadstick. And I’ve notice they have change the size of their ranch dressing cup size, which is barely enough if you sharing your meal with someone.

I’ve had the Buffalo Fries and at best, they are inconsistent. When ordering to eat in, they put more more than sufficient amount of the chipotle/​ranch dressing and it definitely looks appealing. However, when you order the Buffalo Fries to go, they severely skimp on the dressing and the fries look like they came from the leftovers. They probably think that once you’re out the door, you most likely won’t complain. Well… I’m complaining!
Based on my experiences, ordering the Buffalo Fries to go is a big mistake.

Tasty food. I never really noticed the existence of this place because it’s poorly located near some vacant lots.

I cannot even begin to describe how annoyed I am! As soon as we ordered our food the cashier was extremely snooty and stand offish. Totally not the environment I want to be in. She impolitely told us we would have to wait 15 – 20 minutes for buffalo fries! There were only 4 other people in the restaurant. Why would it ever take that long to make buffalo fries?! About 3 other parties that came in after us have ordered and received their food already. When we went to check on how much longer it would be, she said, «I don’t know. Soon.»
I am very unimpressed and still have not received my order.
However the manager gave me a free buffalo fries and I am happier.

The food here isn’t that great & the service is usually slow. On top of that, the employees aren’t exactly nice and I can’t stand when they stand around talking while I’m trying to order. I would save your money & avoid this place. Maybe get your wings somewhere else and get fresh chicken.

I love wings and things. Fried chicken in general to be exact. I really enjoy wings and things. This location is clean, plenty of parking and has clean bathrooms.
The staff, although young, are always professional. Unlike the majority of places you eat at that have young employees you will normally hear some unprofessional language, not here. It may be because it is always so busy they do not have time to talk.
The food is always hot and never seems to be sitting around

Food is great and service isn’t bad either. The only real gripe I have is that near closing time, the associates start cleaning and when they cleaned the tables, they sprayed chemicals and wiped it down. The associate sprayed the table right behind us and the smell was so strong that I literally TASTED IT! Ruined my meal! On top of that it gave me a headache.
I would suggest they spray the towel in the back (and not near any food) and then come out and wipe the tables down.

My favorite wings & things in South Bay! The portions seem to be a little larger here compared to the one on Broadway in Chula or the one in National City. Plus they have beer on tap at this location! Though when coming here I’m really just looking forward to straight up eating!
The «medium» strips are the best in my opinion and the BREADSTICKS are a must! Normally we don’t order fries, but we gave them a try and they were pretty good too. Dip everything in ranch to seal the deal. P. S.- I’m a ranch fanatic and their ranch is bomb!
Their menu is wierd and the prices have gone up so that’s always a disappointment, but I will continue to come here to satisfy my craving.

I absolutely love their breadsticks! Warm and soft, and goes well with the wings. I’ve been here plenty of times and have never had a problem with the food or service. A single meal of mild wings is my go-​to order, but after looking at their menu recently, I should probably expand my wings n things repertoire. Buffalo chicken pizza sticks sound just too good to pass up!

I will always love wings n things. Moved away from San Diego in 2011 and had it when I went to visit my family about a week ago. UGH! so good! Sauce tastes delicious as ever. I’ve only had Mild and Medium though. So I can’t speak for any other flavors. Also I only like traditional wings. They’re breadsticks are always so hot and fresh and are heaven in your mouth! Can’t wait to visit again and have more wings!

Let me break down this review.
Food: The wings were great. Good old fashioned hot wings. Not too dry, yet not swimming in buffalo sauce. Kudos. The bread sticks were good. I feel like the bread sticks, which are a great extra, came in the style of quantity over quality… But it wasn’t terrible quality, just very heavy thick bread. We also got a buffalo chicken salad which was a sprinkling of buffalo chicken over a club salad.
Facilities: Since I’ve been into this particular location before briefly, I know it has clean bathrooms and tables.
Service: Now this is where they lost me as a customer. We ordered 35 $ worth of food as a take out order. If you do a lot of take out, you likely know that businesses love take out orders. Because your transaction is 90% food and 10% customer service, reducing costs from a business stand point. I always talk respectfully to people on the phone, but the employee that took my order was very dismissive and I got the feeling that she was frustrated with me because I had to ask her to please repeat things because she had a heavy accent. When I arrived to pick up my order, she had placed the wrong order for my salad. Not a big deal I know, but she just said you «ordered the garden» and got an attitude when she had to modify the bill.
With Buffalo Wild Wings so close you think they would want to keep customers. Service is half the battle, just wish wings and things saw it that way as well.
UPDATE: Sam the manager contacted me almost immediately. Real professional. He even offered to replace my salad. As modest as a gesture as it was, I’ll likely pass up the offer. May one day wings and things.

Still the best spicy chicken strips I’ve had are here. I don’t come here for there wings tho they are good but not my fav. I come here for the spicy chicken strips there BOMBA! Meaning good, there big & filling & have a lot of chicken meat, if you get the meal deal it will fill you up. The bread sticks are real good too & they got good ranch & Blue Cheese that’s a plus cuz some places have bad dressings. You can watch sports if you eat inside they have 3 TV’s & have different sports playing. And it’s usually clean in here.
Tho the service can be slow at times the people here are friendly. The prices are a little high, I can go to Buffalo Wild Wings & there a big Reastraunt & pay less on wing meals but hey some people like it here better. As for me I come here & will continue to come for there spicy chicken strips meal! It’s always a good place to come when craving hot wings & chicken strips, the flavor never disappoints.

I have never dined in but the entrance looks like your typical Wings and Things joint.
I always phone in my order to avoid the long wait times. The guys and gals are always nice and they provide good customer service.
As long as you keep making my wings extra Crispy extra extra Wet I will keep coming back.

I’ve been to quite a few Wings-​N-​Things and wing places, but this place never disappoints. I’ll keep this review short as I can go on and on but all you need to know is that the food is consistently delicious and the service is always exceptional.
Yesterday I ordered take out and they said it would be ready in 15 minutes. I arrived 15 minutes on the dot and my food was coming out from the back as I was walking in. It might seem like an over reaction but think about the last time you ordered food and it was ready EXACTLY when they said it was going to be and neither party was late.
When eating in one month ago the entire staff was very enthusiastic and conversational. They also have enough TV’s on each wall (2 – 3) playing live games or Sports Center so that you don’t have to strain your neck to get a decent view. They also have beer on tap and good prices on pitchers. New York Wings and Ribs on Orange avenue is about one mile away from where I live but I would rather drive out to East Chula Vista to receive much better food and service from here.

Never had anything to complain about at this WingsNThings. Place is always clean with friendly employers. Some times the orders do take a bit more than expected. I have had to wait 20 minutes for just a single meal and they were not busy.
I eat here very often and also order for take out. I will keep coming back and recommending it.
Four stars because of the wait times, but nothing to be mad about.

Great food, good atmosphere.
Walking in you will see local sports memorabilia. Their sauces are great, I know some people from down south of the border that can handle the hottest sauce. They have tvs playing sports all around. Never too ctowded thats a plus. Bathroom is nice, males door needs a good tug. Good portions. Seeved with vegetable s and bread sticks. Good to eatcwings with fiber. I go there when I can afford the luxery.

This place hits the spot when the fam is craving for something other than burgers. The joint is hopping in the early evenings, with lots of folks getting take-​out or filling up the tables watching the games on the big screen TVs. It can get noisy at times but that’s understandable.
The wings themselves are high quality — tasty, meaty and come with a selection of flavors. I enjoy the lemon/​pepper, BBQ and buffalo. My kids love their chicken strips plain. The bread sticks are very similar to Pat & Oscar’s and they don’t seem to run out.
This joint never fails to satisfy.
