Worst service and they never have crepas might as well take it off the menu the last time I come here

I went into sweet sisters to get a cheesecake and I walked out with the Red Velvet Cheesecake and 2 cookies. 1. Red Velvet and 2. Chocolate Chip. The cheesecake was delicious! It was a thick layer of cheesecake on a thin layer of red velvet cake. The cheesecake was fluffy and very yummy and the cake had a good texture and nice red velvety taste. The red velvet cookie was soft and chewy with a subtle Red Velvet flavor. The chocolate chip cookie is for my husband who has not eaten it yet but it looks and smells great. The customer service was prompt and friendly and the person at the counter helped me choose which desserts I wanted. Overall a great experience. I will be returning.

I recently ordered a 10′ triple chocolate cake for my daughter’s 10^th birthday. It was delicious, moist, nicely finished with a ganache & border, and the writing on it was perfect. I asked for pink v. the standard red icing for the lettering. The cake was tall so there was plenty for all of the guests. It was also ready ahead of schedule & I felt it was very reasonably priced for the quality. I have zero complaints about my experience. Im only removing a star because when I walked in, the feel of the place seemed a bit abandoned — no cakes in the fridge/​display (although they did say they were on the way later), no writing on a large chalkboard on one of the walls & it took a bit to get someone to notice I was there. I’ve been here before, though, and feel it is a bakery worth visiting as they do a great job with their desserts & baked goods.

Do not foresee this business being around too long. Regrettably, while their product is decent their attention to customer service is deplorable. Been in a few times recently and both times the restroom was dirty and out of paper towels. Usually, the person taking orders in the front is clueless and inexperienced about what customer service looks like; never greet or smile at their customers. It’s obvious the owners do not take great care in selecting their personal and protecting their image; on one occasion the young boy at the front counter was wearing some tacky shorts with his hairy legs exposed; disgusting. While the Sweet Sister appeared to be knowledgeable at making sweets, all indications are that they lack business savvy.

Okay so the desserts here are super good. Idk why all these comments are about the people that work here cause I honestly don’t give a fuck about other people all I care about is good food and this is it! The macaroons are holy I will be coming here forever

Thank you for making me the ugliest cake possible!!! Not being ready when I show up thanksgiving morning to pick up my cake like I was instructed! And then coming out to tell me you can’t do the horses like you said. The cake I paid for!!! looked nothing even close to what I asked for. I even gave you a picture and yet you were still too incompetent to come even close!!! And to tell me you could do something your establishment was too unqualified to do. Thank you for being the worst bakery I’ve ever been too! I would of gotten a better cake at the grocery store! I will never waste my time or money with this bakery again! Now I’m screwed cause where else would I find a cake for the day after thanksgiving!!!

Went with my daughter so she can get herself macaroons & I ended up getting myself something sweet as well! The carrot cheesecake is delicious & my daughters cookies & cream & vanilla Nutella macaroons were divine ! Service was also wonderful everyone was so nice. I recommend & I would go to again!

Every time I have came in here it’s never a disappointment. Awesome desserts, perfect cups of coffees, what more could ask for? This particular time I got a red velvet cake & a mocha coffee. Both delicious. The cake was perfect & not overwhelmingly sweet like how other places how all of the icing & cream is so think and rich. So I really like the lighter take on it. I definitely will keep coming back & have already made this my one stop cake station for events. (:

Nice to see place like this in Chula Vista. Food: 5 stars. Good choices, not too overwhelming. Customer service: 5 stars. Very nice and friendly. Inside apperance: 3 stars. It’s OK, could use a little deep cleaning and touch of paint.
Overall: support your local business! This place is pretty good and the food is very good.

bad service and bad attitude
today was not my first time in this bakery. I did bring my mother-​in-​law to get some quote’s for a sweet 16 cake and it was only a 3 tier cake and non fondant she was asking for 200 people and the server gave us a quote of $ 800.00 my jaw dropped. I did also get some macaroon’s and she told me cash only. wtheck

Después de una comida aveces nos queda un hueco de algo dulce… y hoy me paso eso dije estoy lista para un postresito! Busque en Unilocal que lugares recomendaban pero dos de ellos cerraban a las 6 así que encontré este que cerraba a las 8, el lugar estaba vacío, es pequenito y cuando entras nadie te da la bienvenida (hay una mujer en la caja pero te ignora) bueno hablando de los postres no sabia cual escojer se me antojaban todos!!:) pero escoji un cheesecake con chocolate y si me gusto :) tambien un macaron de mango estaba rico tambien, muy dulcesito pero si me gusto, espero ir otra vez y que la atención sea mejor parece que no importa cuando alguien te recibe con una sonrisa y una bienvenida pero si importa, eso nos hace sentirnos agusto y querer regresar otra vez.

Very good coffee and pastries, nice to see something other than a quinceañera dress store or another junk shop on old Third Avenue.
I’ve frequented the store with my husband for a few months now, and despite our regular patronage one of the women who works here is consistently rude. Not just a little rude, which I’m happy to let slide, but eye-​rolling, loudly sighing, cutting-​you-​off with a snap kind of rude. She treats other employees similarly.
We’re very polite and reasonable, too. What’s worse is that she appears to be an owner. As identified here by other customers who have had the same experience, her name is Carla and perhaps she should heed these warnings to avoid any further bad reviews and resultant negative effect on the bottom line. We all have problems, but taking them out on others shows poor character.
Not going back, even though I’d love a nice latte and a macaron.

Came here for something sweet during my lunch break from jury duty. When I came in, there were two other customers ordering and the rest of the bakery was empty. There was one employee working behind the counter. I ordered 2 cookies &cream, 2 raspberry, 2 red velvet, and 2 passion fruit macarons at $ 1.50 each. I also ordered a slice of guava cheesecake after reading all the hype about it on Unilocal.I also ordered a small iced white mocha to go along with it. My total was $ 19 even. My drink was okay, nothing special.
The guava cheesecake was pretty good. I don’t necessarily like guava, but the flavor wasn’t overwhelming, which I liked. The only issue that I had was that a part of the graham cracker crust tasted a little burnt.
Now the macarons, I may have a high standard when it comes to macarons because there is a right way and right texture they should be. The raspberry, red velvet, and passion fruit macaron shells had a large «bubble» where it should be soft and fluffy the entire way. I had no problem with the cookies and cream one. It was perfect texture and taste wise! Also, both the red velvet macarons, had significantly less filling than the others, that bummed me out since red velvet is my favorite flavor! The raspberry macaron also had a flavor that reminded me of air freshener, not the best flavor I would like in my mouth.
Overall, it was okay. Nothing too special about this place. Great service though!

Customer service needs improvement. On the other hand: GUAVA CHEESECAKE!
The macarons were also very good! Everything’s reasonably priced. The coffee is horrible. My date got the quiche, which came with fresh fruit. He loved it.
The interior is a little run down. But don’t let that distract you from the delicious treats!

We were looking for a cake a week before our event and all the places we asked didnt have availability which I thought was weird i didnt know you needed more than a week to order a cake, anyway we found this gem showed them a picture and we got exactly what we wanted. We haven’t tasted the cake but the 4 stars are for the awesome service and good prices.

Great customer service and a decent variety of desserts.
What we tried:
* Carrot cake cheesecake — good, could use a thicker crust.
* Cookie monster cupcake — frosting was good, cake was a little dry
* All macaron flavors– YUM!

Went here earlier this morning, just to check it out… It was a little hard to find, didn’t have any large sign, but it’s on the corner across from Fuddruckers… Parking sucks, I had to park down the street…
It’s a cute little bakery with some tables and chairs, could use some small cosmetic touch ups inside, but otherwise a cute little local spot… Aside from what’s in the displays, they also serve made to order sandwiches…
No one was at the counter, so I had to wait a few moments for someone from the back to come out and assist me… Wasn’t sure of the prices on most of their goodies on display, I couldn’t find it posted…
Anyways, I picked up a few items… Their small shortbread cookies, they were okay… They crumbled easily as soon as I took a bite and turned to powder right away. The flavor is also very subtle. Their macarons were soft and chewy, a good texture… And they have a good amount of filling inside… But the specific flavors were very subtle… I tried 2 of them and wasn’t 100% sure what specific flavors they were suppose to be, each were very sweet though. I also tried this roll that had crushed nut and coconut folded it… The bread portion was buttery, airy, and light. I just wish it had more of the coconut and nut folded in…
I did not try any of their sandwiches… And they had ready to go cakes that looked DELICIOUS…
I love small/​local businesses… Even though I wish I enjoyed my specific choices a bit more, id say that this place is still worth trying out and supporting. 3.5 stars if I could…

What an adorable little corner bakery in Downtown Chula Vista!
My sister and I were finishing up dinner and she decided she wanted some macarons, so we actually searched via Unilocal and found this bakery was the closest. After trying to find their new phone number we were happy to find out it didn’t close until 7pm on a Sunday :)
After a 10min drive we arrived and bought our macarons ($ 1.50/ea). There were a bunch of flavors but we got Coffee, Pistachio, Raspberry, and Vanilla/​Nutella. Soooo good! The outer layers were crispy and it was filled with buttercream icing, delish!
This bakery also has other things like bread, ice cream, cakes, tarts, and coffee. So if you’re not in the mood for that, come visit and try something else, I’m sure you’ll enjoy!

I’ve been going to this bakery for months and almost weekly because it’s near where I live. I always get their macarons. It’s soo tasty and delish! Try the cookies and cream and vanilla macarons!
Yesterday, I bought a mango cake for my family’s thanksgiving dinner. At first, I wasn’t sure how this cake would taste but after my first bite, I was in heaven! It was so moist, sweet, and it def tastes like sweet mango. Service isn’t so bad. No problems so far.
I also tried their cheese rolls. Wow, it was excellent. Reminds me of Porto’s.

I have been coming here ever since they opened and I have ordered cakes from them for all kinds of different occasions.
I don’t eat desserts here because like a couple of people have mentioned there is flies flying around in the case, which is pretty gross.
Today I went in trying to order a cake for my brother’s birthday and the «cake decorator» Carla that was taking my cake order was extremely rude.
I showed her a picture of the cake I wanted and she said she would charge me $ 60 for it, which was fine.
After contemplating the picture of the cake I gave her she finally said she couldn’t do certain things on the cake
Why are you going to charge me $ 60 for a cake that you don’t know how to make?
Then, she told me to come back another day when another cake decorator was in because she simply couldn’t make it at all.
Why are you waisting my time then?
Couldn’t you just say you didn’t know how to make the cake in the first place?
The staff here is not friendly at all.
I decided to take my business elsewhere.
Drove down to Chico’s Bakery, just down the street and ordered my cake from them instead.
I placed the same cake order that turned out to be much cheaper, the cake turned out beautiful, exactly like the picture I gave them and the best part was that I received excellent customer service!
Never coming back to this bakery again.
