I was a regular customer until today. I called in an order for 2 dozen fresh conchas.(2dozen regular size conchas=$ 20.40)The woman on the phone was very rude and argumentative when I stated I wanted fresh bread. I only want what I am paying for 85cents per concha. She laughed while telling me their bread is always fresh and practically telling me how dare I ask for fresh bread. When I arrived to the bakery I asked for my order and I wasn’t greeted or helped by the two employees in the front. Instead they called the woman who I had spoken with on the phone. She approached the register and continued to argue with me about the bread. I told her I just wanted to pay for the bread. She was extremely rude and unprofessional. I will no longer visit or refer. La Moreliana bakery on Quintard St., Chula Vista is a lil further to me but always has fresh bread and customer service is great.

The cake decorator did everything I asked and more! I asked for a tres leches cake but decorated… he said he could do only a light buttercream on the top for decorating and whip icing everywhere else since the cake is most and fragile. I trusted him and I was AMAZED when I picked it up! Gorgeous! My brother loved it! The details were awesome too! He sprinkle cinnamon sugar for sand, added a few birds, details in the textured waves in the ocean… THECAKEWASLOVEDBYEVERYONE! I added a photo of the cake to view.

Love the pan dulce here specially the conchitas, it is expensive though, champurrado very expensive also, they sell a lot maybe they should bring the prices down, other than that my favorite!

I love supporting local businesses but I just find the baked goods here to be bland. It is fun, though, to grab your tray and tongs & make your choices. The staff has been friendly the couple times I’ve gone.

I was shocked how expensive the mexican bread is here. Also the champurado a cup that is a small is their large for $ 3.00! I can easily get a large at Northgate for $ 3.99 and its 4 times larger. The bread is not any better than at Northgate or other local bakeries. Save your money or get a lot more for it elsewhere!!!

Their pan dulce(conchas) is always fresh, soft, and delicious! I can’t stand buying conchas that are remotely dry or hard, but that has never been the case here. They sell other bakery items as well. I’ve also tried their puerquitos and orejas. The puerquitos and orejas were okay. I thought the puerquitos were a little dry, and the orejas not the best texture or flavor as compared to others I’ve tried. I’m pretty spoiled when it comes to eating good food! Try the pan dulce for sure. It’s very good!

I used La Concha Bakery a year ago for my baby shower and used them again this year for my baby’s first birthday. They are easy to work with, cake tastes amazing, and very well priced! We got so many compliments on the cake both times. Thanks La Concha Bakery!

Have come here for years and no one has ever had a complaint with the pan dulce we bring to everyone’s house. Always a treat for the kids. Great baguette and Bolero.

Ordered my son’s first birthday cake, it was paw patrol. I had never been to this bakery before but I decided to take a gamble because of all the good reviews I read. Well I’m really glad I did, the cake came out perfect and super delicious! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone for cake orders.

This place is one of my all time favorite panaderias. Growing up, my mom would go there in the morning to get fresh pan dulce before school. I would recommend the Orejas for something sweet(kind of like a caramelized, crunchy pastry) or the concha for something a little more mild. The concha is great to dip in coffee or milk. Don’t forget to grab some bolillo to make some sandwiches for later. Also can’t for wrong with one of their empanadas. One of my favorite items is a hot torta stuffed with jalapeños and cheese(they also have chorizo). This bakery also can make you a rosca or pan de muerto.

This place has magical powers! Why? It made my husband an anti-pan dulce man into a devout Mexican sweet bread lover!!! Great pan dulce, great service! Just go and try it, and if you have friends who are non-believers in the deliciousness of pan-dulce, take them to this place, I am sure they will become pan dulce fanatics :)

These fine folks offer standard pan dulce favorites and mix it up with specials all the time. My favorites here are the cemitas, conchas, mantecadas and orejas. They recently had a football-shaped Mexican chocolate pastry with bittersweet drizzle that was amazing and I wish they would add it as a regular item. I’ve ordered birthday cakes here and the bakers were accommodating with my weird requests — such as an all white cake with white writing for my brother who was obsessed with Calvin Candie at the time. The cakes are moist and delicious and reasonably priced. I highly recommend the neopolitan and tres leches. Last but not least, I want to mention their bolillo — soft and chewy on the inside and crispy and crusty on the outside. Come early for a fresh, hot bolillo. They also have bolillos stuffed with jalapeño and cream cheese or chorizo, ham and cheese. SO delish and inexpensive.

By far the best Mexican bakery in town! Their pan dulce is delicious and they have a pretty wide selection. If you need a cake, this is definitely the place to go. Their cakes are always moist and never too sweet. The staff is very friendly and are always willing to help :)
