didn’t receive a sample as i entered the store. I guess only See’s Candies gives samples. But i was surprised to the selection of low-sugar and no sugar chocolate. In my opinion, no other store have a selection like Rocky Mountain in Eastlake… Chocolate tasted awesome. I will be going back…

Not much selection of chocolates. Had lots of apples and stuffed animals. If you charge so much for chocolates, invest in nicer boxes to but them in. The boxes has holes. Plus train staff to wrap chocolates. I got a long pretzel dipped and the counter person said it didn’t fit in box. She asked if I wanted to eat it now. I told her to wrap in plastic or put in bag. When I was done with my $ 20 …only 8 pieces… the box was not fully closed because counter person used too small of a box probably and didn’t even give me a bag to put my purchase in. I think most of the peanuts fell out of holes in box. What a shame.

Wow, I was surprised of the amount of chocolate I seen upon walking in. Haha. Just the aroma of chocolate in there was amazing. It’s a small little shop that sells all your sweet fixes/needs including the various flavors of caramel apple. What I liked about it too was that they give military discount here, 10 percent off your entire order, every time.

I love chocolate as much as the next gal… But i’m more of a See’s girl. HOWEVER, the apples here are AMAZING! My fave is the apple pie apple. It’s a simple apple that really compliments the fruit opposed to some other options where the candies and coatings can be a bit overwhelming. I usually buy apples as small tokens or gifts to give people. The RMCF can box a single apple nicely and add a pretty red ribbon and it’s just a cute, cute simple treat!!! :D They also have pet friendly treats for your 4 legged bestfriend. :) BIGTHANKSTOLANDON!!! I am a fan of the apple pie apples and the tiger butter apples. My boys love the M&M apples. They always offer samples too and service is always great.

Ok, I LOOOOOOVES me some caramel/candied apples from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory!!! I’m giving them 3 stars merely because of their new management, but I give their apples 5 stars! Anywho, their apples used to be my go-to birthday gift for friends and co-workers. Some of my favorites were the mini M&Ms apples, shredded coconut apples and the rocky road apples. Num num num!!! The apples aren’t cheap. I tend to stick with the ones that are under $ 5.00. $ 5+ to me is a bit excessive {yes, I hope RMCF is reading this. lol}. PROS: Their apples truly are remarkable and delicious! Just the right amount of sweet to the semi-sour apples. Devine! And they do make great gifts. Everyone I’ve given them to absolutely loved them. Also, I’ve never had an issue with freshness. In fact, I had a friend tell me hers lasted her a good week before she cut into them and they were still fresh as can be. Yay! CONS: They used to have a «Buy 3 and get 1 free» offer which I loved because I could buy a 4 pack, have them box it up real cute, add a bow and BAM… fabulous gift(and I only technically paid for 3 apples and got the 4th free). BUUUT, now they’re under new management and they no longer offer that(BOOONYOUNEWMANAGEMENT!!!) so now I rarely buy them as gifts. Another thing that annoyed me about this particular store, they were always out of gift boxes(the large ones for the 4-packs AND the small clear plastic boxes for single apples) so they would put them in ugly plastic bags. Lame. The gift boxes are what made the apples gift worthy. Again, boo on you management! Please, check yourself before you wreck yourself!

yummmm rocky road caramel apples! That’s all I go here for. Always fresh, always good. It’s just so expensive about 7 bucks for the fancy apples. around 4 for the plain ones. i still make the trip though atleast once a month.

yay. Ines V and I LOVE caramel apples. We usually get them when we are taking a stroll through sea port village. But they are like $ 10 there! We arent even turists I dont know why we go there so much. Ha Ha anyway, Apples here are BUY3GET1FREE!!! We got a tiger butter(peanut butter and caramel and chocolate), english toffee(caramel, toffee, and chocolate drizzles), and bear cub(3 kinds of chocolate and caramel). OMG so good. 4 apples for around $ 15, such a great price and a yummy treat to split with friends.

If you’re ever down on life or luck this is the place to come! :-) This place always makes me feel good, must be something in the chocolate! Chocolate and caramel apples galore. Same goes for the candy assortment. My favorite has to be the toffee nut chocolate apple. Since they have buy 3 get 1 free I always grab a variety. You can bite it off the stick or have it sliced for later. Don’t forget to ask for the frequent buyer card :-) Anything free is good, specially chocolate covered anything.

pros… this is the place to get your chocolate and candied apples in otay ranch center. it has the menacing and grumpy looking stuffed teddy bear outside. it looks actually a bit on the scary side to me. i love the candied apples here, they are just the right combination of sweet and slightly tart. the nice sweetness of the outside: caramel with assorted nuts, and candied red tooth filling extractor flavor. this with the slight tartness from the green apple inside. the texture difference of the sticky, soft and chewy outside with the crisp, cool, juicy inside is just heavenly. they also have some of the best chocolate covered strawberries, next to godiva. and some pretty damn good peanut brittle too. oh i could go on, but just go there yourself and see. cons…that stupid bear outside the store. the crowded lines which go outside the shop sometimes. the small size of the shop, which makes it seem much more hotter then it really is. and the small inventory on hand in the small store.
