The only reason I’m giving Dr. Plaskin 3 stars is because he was very nice and they got me in in an emergency.
The Dr. is very knowledgeable and didn’t bullshit me about taking care of the break or trying to get me on meds I didn’t need.
The reason I would like to give such a low score is because of the front desk staff. Once my first appointment had been set over the phone the front desk called back to tell me I hadn’t met my deductible and would need to pay at the office. Ok? While filling out paperwork at the office I tell them we’d just gotten married and also moved so the billing address and name is still different than the insurance address and name and the woman and the front says «you’ll want to get that changed,» yes thank you. we’d been in our house less than 24 hours, working on it. Then even after me explaining to them I go by my middle name and that I’m legally my husbands last name, they proceed to call me by my first name and my maiden name. They even call my husband
maiden name! Just rude and impersonal.
A few weeks later I received a statement saying I owed them over $ 200. I went back for my follow up after 4 weeks and had barely reached the front desk when I was informed I owed them $ 77. When I was ushered to the back the same lady as on the phone practically yells at me «you’ll have to pay a deductible today.» again… ok? After the doctor is finished I’m going to pay and haven’t managed to make it to the window when again I am informed I owe them $ 77… yes I get it now. I was going to mentioned I got a new insurance card but it honestly seemed like too much work to explain it to them.
