So I’m over at Pep Boys picking up some rust remover, aircraft paint stripper, lithium grease and other stuff for my restoration project and notice a sign for a relatively new coffee shop in Chula. Since there are almost good cafes down south, I thought I’d check it out. And guess what? Still checking… It’s a TINY place and doesn’t have any seats inside. You order inside and there are three tiny red plastic tables with matching uncomfortable chairs outside. What good is a café without adequate seating? If I’m just getting coffee I’ll go to MacDonalds. That way I save $ 1.50 and don’t have to get out of my car. They do make refrescados(like a sno-cone or shaved ice) which is novel but they are way overpriced($ 4.00 for an iced mocha). I wouldn’t mind dropping 4 bills on at a Starbucks because they provide comfortable seating. None to be had here. If you, like me, are searching for a good café in the South Bay… keep looking!
