Great service, super friendly staff. I’ve only tried the macaron ice cream. I started off with strawberry. My fat ass couldn’t just have one so I ended up buying a mango one before leaving. Both were really good :) Definitely going back to try a few things off the menu.

Been here a few times now and their drinks were great at first but the last couple of times have been hit or miss. They messed up our drink order the last two visits and their boba has been tasting like mush. I would continually come back when I’m in the area as we frequent Korean Kitchen and Phở Hiep but I’m hoping our luck gets better.

I love this Boba place! It’s right by my house and the girls are always so sweet. I come here several times a week so I appreciate the Unilocal offer of free boba with check in

Went here after eating lunch at mandarin canton. What stood out to me is they have a watermelon smoothie. Never seen that before. Taro coconut was pretty good although it mostly tasted like only taro. They have a few iPads that you can use while you sit and wait or enjoy your boba. Quick and friendly service. I’m not in this area much so I’d likely come by after eating some bomb wings next door.

This is my first time here and wanted to come here for some time but never had time to. I finally got the chance and came here with some of my family. I got the Milk Tea Boba, and the others got the Passion Fruit Slush. I have to say, I was slightly disappointed. I guess I expected a bit more since the others reviews were good. The boba isn’t that chewy and not really that good. The tea is also a bit too sweet for me, I wish it tasted a bit less sweet. The Passion Fruit is good, it’s pretty sweet but still less sweet than most of other Boba places, because other places are really sweet. The service here is really great though, and I have to say the interior is pretty modern and cute, they also have free iPads to play around with! Honestly I probably won’t come here again, maybe again to try their ice cream macarons, but not for their boba.

I love their boba drinks especially the fact that they sell Macaroons! They even have ice cream Macaroons as well. They go for $ 2 a piece which isn’t too bad & they have a bunch of yummy flavors! The girls that work there are always so nice every time I come in. They are always greeting you as you walk in. Definitely recommend this place for your sugary needs!

Cutesy design applied to all aspects of this business including the bathroom! Wide drink selection, although I’d say their boba is OK, but they never skimp on the amount they give you and drinks are usually very tasty at decent prices, so I can’t complain. Plus, it’s the best boba tea selection within Chula Vista so I’d drive here any day to avoid TapEx with their cardboard tasting drinks. The biggest thing that sets this place aside though would be their macarons! I haven’t had the pleasure of enjoying them yet, but they are always lined up in the display window near the cash register. It also sounds like they serve the ice cream macarons. Must give them a try some day!

Pretty legit boba spot. The staff is super friendly and they get the drinks done quick. Their Drink Menu is very easy to understand and to follow. They have a huge selection of drinks. Smoothies which they call«Snow bubble», ICY, Yogurt smoothie, flavored milk, Milk Teas(HOT, COLD) The first time what i was there i got a Cold Taro Milk Tea. I didn’t think that it was that great. It tasted too simple like i was just drinking milk. Not great first impression. I decided to give it a second chance. My second visit was much better but this time i ordered their Snow Bubble Taro coconut drink(with BOBA ofcourse) This drink was delicious and it made me come back 4 more times the next 4 days. Each day ordering the same drink. They have two sizes for the drinks, Medium and Large, but their medium size is super big. The interior of the place is really nice, clean and welcoming. It was a good lounge vibe. They have Ipads for little kids. They have a big selection of macarons and It seems like they are one of their specialities. Unfortunately i didn’t get to try them because the Smoothie was enough sweet for the day for me. Maybe next time.

Ive been here a few times now. I like to give a place more than a «first impression» chance. I usually get a Taro milk tea for me and a Strawberry«snow bubble» smoothie for my son. The smoothie is okay. It wasn’t anything special. The flavor was consistent all visits. First time I went, the milk tea didn’t have much flavor but I gave it another chance and wasn’t disappointed. I really like the Taro Milk Tea, along with the boba balls. They have a good texture and flavor. As long as the drinks maintain the flavoring, I’ll be a happy customer. I usually get a macaron for my son as well. They are okay. I’ve had better elsewhere, but they take care of the sweet tooth craving in the moment. Other than the drink + snacks, customer service is cool. It seems like your average teenager/young adults work here and they aren’t bad at all. They get the job done quick. Only thing I’d recommend is more smiles when greeting instead of a «hi welcome» with no enthusiasm.

My friend told me this was the best boba place in San Diego, and of course, I vehemently denied such thing. That’s blasphemous! … I was proven wrong, but in this case, I’m not complaining! :P I LOVETHEMILKTEAHERE. I enjoy the milk tea with pudding, as well as the almond milk tea :) the interior design is very modern, and a bit on the girly side. I loved it! It would be a nice place to study, and since it’s in Chula Vista, it’s never busy, so no long lines! YAY! Who would have thought that I’d find such delicious boba joint in Chula Vista! What a gem! :) CHEERS!

Darn so torn between 3 and 4 stars. Opted with the former though. Quality is almost there, but the pricing is not… and with how far it is, any place in Convoy will suffice over this place. Tap Tap is well kept and definitely more on the modern side of things when it comes to boba shops. They even have iPads at a bar area to fool around with. First impression– wow, they have it all! From brick toast, crepes, macarons, and even macaron ice cream sandwiches. Their drink menu is pretty expansive and they have plenty to offer. I went with my usual honey milk tea with boba, it’s a great benchmark for me to compare boba shops. Check in on Unilocal and get free boba/jelly! The addition is usually $ 0.50 otherwise, and the upgrade from regular to large is also an extra $ 0.50… hmm a dollar extra for large and boba? merppp, that made my drink total come out to over $ 5, but then with the Unilocal check-in discount it was right under. Then to add– credit card charges have a $ 5 minimum so I decided to add an apple caramel and a hazelnut macaron to my order. Total comes out to $ 9 and some change… wait what?! Hmph, begrudgingly wait for my order hoping my $ 9 is worth it! Get my drink, and a plus is that they use real honey syrup rather than powder like some places do. A minus, the fact that the honey wasn’t really mixed in well and gathered at the bottom of the drink and along one side of the cup. Hmm, alright not a big deal. Mix it up a little more, and go in for the first sip. First thought– it’s definitely not too bad! The drink was a little more on the sweeter side, so much so that I could barely taste the tea. which I don’t mind all that much since I do have such a sweet tooth. The boba consistency was perfect! Buuut the flavor just wasn’t quite there for me, it seemed a bit bland in my opinion… especially for $ 5, I was definitely expecting more. I can get comparable if not better boba anywhere up in Mira Mesa or Convoy area… and for only around $ 4 rather than $ 5 for a large. Onto the macarons. Eek, always hesitant to try new places because macarons are so easy to eff up. Tap Tap surprised me though, and the macarons were alllmooost perfect! They were just a bit too cakey/soft in general rather than that egg shell outside and fluffy inside, but still close enough that they definitely pass! The flavors were there, but the filling on the apple caramel was a little much. probably because it had some jelly-like center in it too. Less filling, and more egg shell outside– then it would have bumped my rating to a 4 for sure! The macaron ice cream sandwiches(I think) are the same ones you can get at Taegukgi Korean BBQ in Convoy. They’re smaller and definitely don’t compare to Blush. I’m sure they’re probably even the same price as Blush, yea no thanks-I’ll pass! Anyway, I’m curious about the other items on the menu, but with such high prices, I really can’t justify the far drive and cost for something I can get up in north county. If I’m in the area though, this place fulfills the craving.

There are plenty of things to love at Tap Tap Boba: the cleanliness of the place, the iPad provided for customers, the taste of their beverages, the friendliness of the employees, and also the cleanliness of the restroom. However, their prices aren’t great. I wish they would offer slightly lower prices because they’re located in Chula Vista, but it seems Chula Vista is also getting more expensive recently. In fact, their prices are very comparable to, or slightly higher than certain boba places in Convoy/Balboa/Clairemont Mesa area. I liked their popcorn chicken so much. Unfortunately, as of October 2015(if I’m not mistaken), they have decided to turn their business into a dessert place and thus, they are not making fried food any longer :-(

Awesome!!! great drinks,$ 5 for a large boba is perfect. Tons of different flavors and lots of desserts as well. I love the customer service here eveybody is really nice & helpful. The place is super nice and clean. Ipads are available for customers. Tr wall décor is adorable and the bathroom is probably one of the cleanest i have ever seen honestly. They have little funny passage stickers to entertain you while your doing your bizz. I keep coming in because i enjoy the vibe here. Don’t find many places that focuses on just boba, smoothies and asian deserts. come in and grab a boba!!! theyre great

Continuing our trek to find the best boba places in the So Cal, we decided to stop by Tap Tap Boba since it had such good reviews. Like most boba spots, this parlor is located in a large Plaza so parking won’t be tough to find. Inside, you will find plenty of tables, brightly painted walls, a large television screen playing music videos, and a menu filled with tons of choices. While some people may find it appealing to see so many, I tend to think that places with large menus are similar to a Tapioca Express or Quickly’s and those are not boba places I prefer to go to. But keeping an open mind, my family decided to order the following: jasmine milk tea with boba, Royal Earl Grey milk tea with grass jelly, taro coconut smoothie with boba, and a hazelnut milk tea with pudding. I chose the hazelnut and it’s a shame they don’t let you choose the sweetness level here because WOWEE was it sweet. It was certainly too sweet for my preference. My mom’s smoothie was decent and I did like the coconut undertones. My sister and father had the other two drinks and they were just overall unimpressed. Prices here, though, are EXORBANT. One regular cup(which is pretty small, mind you) costs an average $ 3.85 and that doesn’t include any topping or potential upgrade in cup size($ 0.50 for each). They do have happy hour from 2 – 5 pm, but it only applies to a few milk teas. High prices and lack-luster drinks? Tap Tap Boba just doesn’t cut it.

I try to avoid sugary drinks at all cost but my gf was craving boba today so she guilt me into coming along. How’s a girl suppose to turn down bff time, right? There were many combinations to choose from but my asian side kicked in and I decided on the taro coconut. Good choice on my part as the drink was not overly sweet. The hint of coconut was just enough and went well with the taro. To make matters worse, TTB serves macarons. Evil! Get. Out. Now. Lol! TTB is definitely a cool place to grab a drink and hang with friends. Very clean and love that they provide IPads to use. Don’t forget to check in and use the Unilocal offer!

I absolutely love this place. The boba flavors aren’t anything TOO spectacular, they are pretty much your run-of-the-mill flavors, but what keeps bringing me back are the workers! I never fail to experience excellent and genuine customer service with a smile, while I’m there. They never rush you or give you the stink eye while you can’t seem to decide which flavor you want. They’re polite, and make you feel right at home! Not to mention, the place is very clean and well kept, and are one of the very few boba places that offer military & student discount! Check them out during happy hour, when they have discounted drinks ! You won’t regret it(:

My thoughts… 1.Very clean and nice décor.(Good bathroom wall humor) The girl that helped me seemed friendly enough. 2. I got a watermelon icy with mango jelly for myself(which is my Tapex usual). It was SOOSWEET. I felt like I was drinking sugar water. Watermelon icy I’m used to drinking taste like the fruit. This tasted like watermelon candy. I couldn’t finish it. Got my best friend a strawberry banana snow bubble. Although it was a little sweeter than most I’ve tried it wasnt bad. 3. Got two taro macarons for my god daughter. They were pretty good. Although $ 2 each is a little up there. My favorite macarons so far has been Lette macarons and theirs are even a few cents cheaper. We also tried the macaron ice cream sandwhiches. Favorite part of my visit. They were small but good. 4. Ladies wear a bra w/padding, cause I was freezing cold sitting in the lobby. AC must’ve been cranked up. All in all I would maybe rate this place a 3.7. Prices are more compared to other places I’ve been too. Macarons products were good. Drinks weren’t really special. But wouldn’t mind coming back to give them another try.
