Don’t bother with the $ 3 «handheld breakfast burrito.» It’s tiny and only comes with old potatoes and eggs. Cheese is extra and they forgot it! The local fast food places have cheaper and better burritos. They need to both cut the price to 2 bucks and include cheese. Otherwise it’s just laughable.(my dog’s taste aren’t as discriminating so at least it was partly salvaged as a nice snack for her!)

I think one star is a high rating for this place. The food was not fresh at all. Don’t even know where to start. The meat in the adobada tacos was burned, the Tortillas cold, man even the bathroom was dirty. I will not go back to this place nor I recommend it.

We live in East Chula Vista, this Los Primos is a block away. Its the closest taco shop near us. I thought the food would be good because Ive been to the Eastlake location before, it was good. Well this Los Primos is horrible. Each time we’ve eaten there is been ok, I say ok because the carne Asada tacos ordered have been ok. Ive order a California burrito 3x from them, the 1st time it wasn’t good had barely any meat and even though I paid for xtra sour cream there was none. Yesterday I ordered a California burrito from them trying to give it one last shot told the girl I ordered it from to please make sure there was sour cream. I explained to her my previous experience. I pick up the food looked at my 33 $ receipt, see the charge for extra sour cream and ask them to make sure. I get home the French fries are cold there’s maybe a spoon of sour cream. I call them to let them know and they offer me a side of sour cream, if I wanted a side of sour cream I would’ve ordered it. Absolutely the worst taco shop!

I had read on the reviews about their amazing breakfast burritos. So I decided to go find out for myself. I order their regular breakfast burrito which had potatoes, eggs, ham and beacon. Pretty good burrito it was very fulfilling and delicious. The only thing that I will take out would be the thick pieces of ham. I was not disappointed about this place. I will like to come back during lunch time to try their other burritos!

This place is a hit or miss, I’ve had good burritos and terrible burritos. But I’m officially done either this place last time I got food poisoning and threw up twice.

wow. just freaking wow. i paid $ 12 for large carne asada nachos last night(i didnt know there was a small) if that isnt offensive enough, they could have put enough carne to satisy at LEAST one person. barely any cheese, all chips. to los primos owner and the knuclehead cheapskate who made my nachos, so disappointed. you get zero stars.

I’ve been to a lot of the Los Primos locations throughout San Diego and a lot have been got our miss, but this was the WORST one I’ve ever been to. My Fiancé and I are fans of the chain’s breakfast burritos and we attempted to get one here. I waited 30 minutes for my order after already being skipped by two other customers and when I asked the cashier about my order, she acted like I a new customer trying to make another order. So after I showed her my receipt, the cooks began to make my food. Then the real treat for me; when I get home and start to eat, my potatoes are still cold! Terrible experience and disgusting food. Still trying to figure out how this place is still in business.

18 bucks for 3 rolled tacos, a beef taco, and the 2 dollar burrito? I need to quit drinking.

Came in at 9:50 pm today and worker said he can’t make anything before I could even open my mouth. Usually come to the spot cuz it’s close to the house but this is the first time they screwed me like this. He said they don’t get paid pass 10 so he would have to kick me out at 10 anyways. Wasn’t helpful at all. In my opinion he should get fired. Horrible customer service! Not coming back ever again. Would rather take the drive to other shops around the area.

I agree with Pattie B. of Chula Vista! She and I must spoken to the same cashier! The service I received was displeasing to say the least. But unlike Pattie, I cannot say the food was OK. $ 3.49 for 2 teeny, tiny tacos(carnitas) which were way, way, WAY too salty. This is something which I simply cannot accept. Looks like Pattie & I are kindred spirits!

$ 4.29 for a bean and cheese burrito. Golly man, thought there should’ve been a rolled taco stuck inside or something… There wasn’t.

For a fast food mex joint this place gets an overall score of 5. Food is good, but they have generous portions and some things are better than others. I personally like the surf and turf burrito with chipotle sauce. It’s pretty good. I’m gona have to try their Monster Torta. Today I got the tilapia rolled tacos and a bean and cheese burrito. All good. Tilapia is a lil fishy though so be warned. Asked for extra chipotle and they hooked it up!!! They have Pepsi fountain drinks and offers a self serve Mexican drink bar too. The salsa bar is also pretty good and had chips. CHIPS!!! they aren’t hot and fresh but how many mex spots have chips waiting for you to eat when you arrive. That’s right not many. They have two video games for kids and TVs to watch sports or futbol. Tables aren’t really moveable so having a large party here isn’t too feasible. They do cater though too so you can always bring them to your pad. Love this place. Been here at least four times. Not the best mex food in SD but damn good. And compared to all mex shops it’s got a lot to offer.

Went in to pick up a take out order and called in my order. I had heard of a burrito called the monster crunch but wasn’t sure what was in it so I asked the girl who answered the phone what exactly was in it. Before she responded, she sighed as if it were a bother that I was asking Whoa! When I got to the restaurant I realize that they were very busy so I went to the front and waited. She asked if I was there to pick up a take out order and I said yes. She then asked what my order was so I told her and she said«well its not ready», in a very rude tone. Yikes! Once my order was ready, she quickly rang us up and I handed her a coupon that I received from them. Again she seemed very bothered and said, «you should have told me you had a coupon before I did this» in a rude tone, once again… at this point it made me chuckle because I truly thought she was joking. I suggested that she void the last transaction then re-ring me up and before I couldn’t say another word she said, «yeah, yeah, yeah». WOW, I thought she was kidding at first but apparently she wasn’t, lol. The monster burrito was huge, enough to feed 2 hungry people but lacked some flavor. The receipt showed a name of «Claudette» but I’m not sure if that was her name. Nevertheless, it was bad customer service. I only gave 2 stars because of the burrito was decent. Otherwise I would have only given 1 star due to the colorful customer service I received. Thanks Claudette, YOUROCK!

I choose a ca burrito. It was just ok. Nothing special. Not sure if I would go out of my way. The place had free chips that are good.

My food sucked! Yup, that’s how I’m starting this review. I’m used to burritos that you have to hold with two hands. The«MONSTER» burrito was small and I’m almost glad, I couldn’t have taken any more of that nastiness. I ordered a monster steak and eggs with the guacamole on the side. I ended up picking all the«steak» out because it was just nervy, fatty bits. The guacamole tasted like mayonnaise with food coloring. The salsa in this joint had good flavor but was very watery. I hate being so harsh, but there was really nothing I enjoyed. The best part of this visit was the 4 oz. of Golden Spoon that I had to eat to get the terrible burrito taste out of my mouth. Sad. *two stars because it could have been an off day or I just ordered the wrong thing. I doubt I’ll be back to find out.

I was in the area meeting up with a friend and I stopped by here for some dinner. They have some decent daily specials,( ) and being Wednesday, I chose the 5 mini street tacos for $ 5.00: three carne asada and 2 adobada. I ordered an ice tea for my drink. Before my meal was ready, I visited the salsa bar with offered a variety of goodies.( ) For my self, I I picked up some red salsa, green salsa, some grilled serrano peppers, and a couple of limes.( ) The tacos arrived in a timely manner and they looked pretty good. The carne asada ones came moderately filled with carne asada, sprinkled with cilantro, and slathered with creamy guacamole.( ) The carne mini were good. The meat was a little salty but the neutral guacamole even it out. The meat was a little chewy as well.( ) I tried the red salsa with one of the carnies, and the salsa needed more developed flavors. It basically tasted like tomato.( ) I thought the adobada mini’s were much better.( ) The meat was tender, nicely seasoned, and packed with adobada’s unique flavor.( ) I would order these again. Both types arrived in warm moist corn tortillas. For a dollar, given the special, they were a good deal. The lady who was manning the counter was very cool. The was helpful in describing the menu and the daily specials. If the red salsa would of been better and if the carne asada were not so salty and chewy, it would of been a 4 star event for sure.

I decided to give this place one more try. I walked to this place across the park and phoned in a Cali burrito. It was ready quick, tasted great, and they had no problem with me bring my dog in to pick up the order. Seems they got their act together! I will be back.
