Just had the worst experience. I walked in to get a sandwich and went to the counter where two employees were standing. I was barked at and told they don’t sell sandwiches during the holidays. There was NO indication it was closed. So I went to the main counter and asked for a small ham. They said I might be able to get one at a later date. I said I wanted one today and asked them to check if they had one. The clerk made a huffing sound, turned around and checked the fridge. They had one and it was placed on a wet counter. I also picked some condiments. I had to ask for the ham to be put into a bag to make it easier to carry. I have a handicap that makes walking and carrying difficult. You would have though I asked for the moon. I was one of three customers so they weren’t too busy. Everyone I spoke with was rude and dismissive. Not a good experience. I opened the ham the next day to discover NO glaze on any portion of the ham and no bone!

This place is really good for the holidays. I didn’t even know it was opened year round and you can order sandwiches from there. I’ve heard good things about the sandwiches so I had to try it out. When I first walked in I thought I was going to smell the aroma of the glazed honey baked hams. Not what I expected, because when I walked in it smelled nothing like that. I almost walked back out and walked back in just to make sure I was walking into the right place. It had this weird aroma in the air. Minus one star. We were greeted by the workers as we looked over the menu. «Let us know when you are ready.» It was a back and forth decision on the roast beef and the smoking ham sammich. Heard good things about the roast beef and one called the Tavern Club. We decided we would get one Tavern and one Roast beef and just do the, «I’ll give you half of mines if you give me half of yours» deal. A little over 5 mins of looking at the menu, we had come to our decision. Me: «We’ll take one roast beef and one tavern please» Worker: «I’m sorry, we’re all out of roast beef.» «oops I should have mentioned that earlier» Me:(in my head) «oh you mean when you saw us staring at this damn menu and mention roast beef to each other» Me: «alrighty then, guess we’ll go with the ham sandwich and the tavern» Minus another star. Sandwich combo comes with salad and one side. We had the cheesy potatoes and the yams. Both pretty good. The potatoes had pieces of ham in it. The sandwiches were just ok. Not packed with meat. Mediocre really. And as T.I.‘s song goes, «I don’t f*ck with Mediocre» Two combo meals run ya under $ 13 bucks. Drink not included. I’ll be back during the holidays just for the honey baked hams and the sides. As for the sandwiches, I’ll take my chances at the sub sandwich joints.

Wanted a sandwich for lunch and decided to stop by at this honey baked ham recommended by a friend. Walked in and was greeted nicely by Jessica. Helped me pick a sandwich. I got the Tavern Club, very delicious. Talked about their specials and was nice and helpful. Sandwiches are $ 4.99 and is loaded with meat!!! Add $ 1 more for a combo. Side dishes are delicious as well!

Meh… got out ham home and didn’t have any of the crust on it. Didn’t find this out til Easter so had to call next day. They asked I bring the ham in and get a new one… not optimal. But 25 bux for a small ass ham it better have that crust!

4 large sides: $ 27.00 I’m a submarine shopper here, I pop up during the big holidays. I generally come here during Easter, Thanksgiving, & Christmas to stock up on some sides. The cheesy potatoes and the creamed corn are my favorites. Their ham is absolutely perfect and competitors such as Costco or grocery stores tend to have them too salty. I can always taste the difference. I highly recommend coming 4 days before the«BIG» holiday or expect your item to be 86 or make a reservation. The line always seems a little screwed up. They want everyone to form individual lines behind each cashier, but the line gets crowded inside the store when they attempt that.

I don’t know why this store got suck horrible reviews. Here’s my take: 1) Large sandwich + side + salad = $ 6.99. It’s a great deal and it features honeybaked ham(or turkey). YUM! 2) Haaaam! Their ham has been my family’s saviour for last-minute guests for years. Never disappoints. 3) Really meaty soup bones(like, shockingly meaty) for sale $ 1.99/lb = perfect base for red beans + rice, ramen stock, split-pea soup… you are limited only by your imagination.
