So I like the idea that it’s open Friday’s until 11pm but over 40 minutes to get 4 rolls!!! That is some bullshit. I’m sitting here in the fucking cold because they told me to sit there and I’m like an idiot waiting after they had told me 20 min total wait to get my order. Prices are not that great

I really admire the overall atmosphere of this place. They play old school music, have good lighting, and it also has that comfy family-friendly vibe to it. The employees/waiters are friendly and the food tasted great. I chose their fried rice with chicken and shrimp. My only suggestion is to just stick to the entrée portion of the menu if you want more for your buck. I really wanted to try their sushi, but it cost over $ 6 just for a couple of pieces. Overall, a nice place to have some lunch by yourself, with a friend, or family.

Every now and then, I get these cravings for their Bakersfield Roll. It contains shrimp tempura, cream cheese, avocado, banana, and sweet sauce. Sounds weird and fatty right? But it’s so delicious.

Best sushi spot in SD! Tried the dynamite roll was well worth it, still the jalapeño rolls remain my #1

My top rolls I have to say are the best is; Jalapeño roll– I usually take the jalapeño out of the roll since I don’t like my rolls too spicy and I love it like that. It’s one of the best baked rolls. Crunch roll-Simple, fresh and delicious. This was the first roll I ever had. Bakersfield roll. Every time I come here I always have to get this one. Has banana, cream cheese, avocado and tempura shrimp. Even if your not a banana person you’ll love this one. I was kind of skeptical but my husband shoved one in my mouth and I’m happy he did . Dynamite roll– if your a crabby person you will love this roll. It falls apart easily but it is so delicious. This is more like a crunchy roll with baked mixed seafood topped on top. 5

My office is half a block away. I eat here cpl times a month. Staff is super friendly, best lunch specials Ive seen. You pick for a cpl options for a low price. My favorite roll is the exorcista. They recently changed from tables to booths inside, looks much better. I think they have a new owner or manager.

I wasn’t too impressed… I was here on a date. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing… other plates looked good as they were walking by with them but I’ll stick to regular spot.

This place is a hidden gem. The quality and freshness of the product is beyond reproach. The staff is not only helpful but polite, and the Sushi creations are unique and different. If you ever in the vicinity please stop by and experience the difference. Their sushi chef will surprise you with the best Mexican and traditional recipes. This place is worth every penny.

I have been here a few times and the food is good. The waitress is great! However, I witnessed the guy making sushi with glasses on answering the phone for the business and his cell phone then make sushi. Gross

Eww. No variety to the menu at all. All the rolls were tuna rolls with a couple deviations. I was hoping for lobster or crab, but not a lot of choices. We told the waitress that we wanted something spicy, but also different. She recommended the spicy tuna roll, we said, ugh, something more than that. She asked the sushi chef who also recommended the spicy tuna. When our rolls arrive the rice tasted old, which is a let down. We had to ask a couple times for spicy mayo and to refill our drinks. This is the closest sushi place to my house, but I will happily pay the gas to drive to Meijo or Sushiya. Much better options.

My fiancée’ and I were looking for a place to eat since we were really hungry after attending the gym and across the street we noticed this place and decided to give this place a try. Atmosphere: the décor and tables are quite new. good feel with a couple of TV’s if you’re looking to watch sports Food: i had ordered a bento box of the chicken teriyaki(sauce on the side). the chicken was decent the teriyaki sauce was very salty. the salad seemed like it was sitting there all day and was luke warm upon eating. their sushi was ok we had tried the san diego roll which was nothing really special just honestly tasted like a caterpillar roll. My fiancée had the chicken katsu bento which tasted like burnt cardboard and the tempura was soggy. Service: horrible. it seemed like they had only 2 waiters running the place. took forever to get water refills and the bill. Dessert: didn’t order any If you’re curious to try this place then you’ve been fairly warned. The worse place to get Japanese food. Save your money and Unilocal another location near.

Not pleased with this place at all. Would not recommend to anyone, especially people who want patio dining with their pets. STAYAWAYFROMHERE! I came here on a Sunday afternoon, since I was in the mood for sushi after going to the beach with my small dog and boyfriend. Didn’t want to leave said dog in the car, so I looked for a nearby place that had patio seating and found this place. I asked someone at the register if it was alright if my dog sat with us in the patio, and they said it was fine, just as long as we ate outside. The waiter comes outside to greet us and sees we have a dog. From this point on, he kinda treated us like the plague and never bothered to check up on us, besides dropping off our food. Never got a refill on my water. We ordered three things: Crunchy Roll, Exhibitionista(sp?) Roll, and Jalapeño Poppers for appetizers. All of this took excruciatingly long to come out, and we had to wait probably 30 – 40 minutes. It took so long, another waitress thought we were done and asked if we wanted our check. I can kinda understand the rolls taking longer since they had to be cooked, but what baffled me was getting the appetizer last! I ordered an appetizer so I could eat something while I wait for the longer stuff, not stare at an empty table for half an hour, wondering if we would ever get food. Additionally, someone beside us ordered a Crunchy roll as well and one of the servers tried giving it to us! Wish things could have been better because the food was decent, but we couldn’t stand to stay a moment longer and actually left this place hungry.

This place has gotten a lot better, Indy roll is on POINT! It may be pricier than other sushi places, but it’s edible and tasty. Been coming here more often and I have not been disappointed.

This place has some really great tasting rolls! I came here with one of my sisters a while back for lunch and left pretty satisfied, however a tad bit broke. I’m a die hard Sushi House fan, however she insisted that I try this place out. The sushi is pretty great, but the prices are a bit up there. The cooks have awesome customer service! We sat at the bar and were greeted by them. He recommended several rolls, and even took substitutes! I thought that was cool. I can’t remember what roll I ordered, but I was able to substitute something for crab. I’m not big on eel and salmon, but I will eat just about any roll that has crab or shrimp. He gladly took my request and it was delicious. Only downfall, their rolls are kind of small. They fit perfectly in your mouth, but I guess I prefer the larger rolls that Sushi House offers me. All in all, I do recommend, and make sure to sit at the bar!
