Malins Pool & Patios Supplies

Malins Pool finished my pool and spa in July 2004. I called them out once a few years after completion to do a minor repair. Many summers of fun. I would choose them again.

Called to set up service to get my pool filter cleaned. The cleaning appeared to be fine but the next morning the water level on the pool was one foot below normal. 3 inches of water was sitting on the side of my home in the area where the pool equipment is. I immediately called Malin’s (Saturday) where they advised me to turn the equipment off and they proceeded to take a message. I was told that they would be back out on Monday to look at it. No urgency whatsoever. Finally on Wednesday the guy shows up and said everything seems to be ok. Well duh, yeah it is after I had to get someone else over here to look at it when NO-​ONE called or showed up on Monday as promised. It was a pipe that is leading from the pump that had somehow got unscrewed. Very irritated at the lack of customer service in fixing this issue. The guy told me that he was out of town. As a customer I could not care less, the company should have sent someone over to look at it immediately. I am literally around the corner. I am seriously contemplating suing them for the repair and water usage. There is one good pool guy there that has serviced us before. I believe his name is Lim or Lynn but if the young guy shows up RUN!!!

I have had really positive experiences at Malin’s. The employees are very helpful and I have never gotten a dishonest vibe from anyone. I need to add that I began frequenting Malin’s after curtailing my business at Leslie’s in Chino Hills. The Leslie’s employees were typically abrupt with me and lacked any sort of customer-​service behavior. I thought that if I was going to spend my money, I was going to do so at a pool supply store that treated me with respect and honesty.

We have used Mailin’s pool supply for years. They are a family owned business that stand behind any work they do. They have relocated our pool equipment, put in a varible speed pool pump and replaced lights and have preformed other work. They will recomend against doing work if they feel it is NOT required. When visiting the store they are ALL helpful and we cannot say enought about how fantastic they are. If you have a negative thing to say about Mailins Pool Spply. You have the wrong company. Best pool store ever! Ive been using them for years and they’re always friendly and very knowledgeable with their product. They are very honest and will let you know if something is worth fixing or not. I have gotten a second opinion (in the past) and Malins is always right about what needs to be fixed. They are very timely with the repair and Ive NEVER had a problem! Their employees are nice, the store is always clean and full of product, and they have great pool toys for the kids! =-)

Dishonest! My pool/​spa heater stopped working and I called them to take a look at it. The guy looked at it for about 2 minutes and said «no chance of repairing it». It’s «shot». I pressed him why or how it got destroyed. He said my trees near the heater ruined the air flow and «blew up» the burners. I called B/​S. He said no one will even attempt to fix it. So I decided to call SoCal Gas company and tell them I had a gas problem, since they test appliances for free. They came out an looked at it and showed me where a spider had built a nest in the gas orifice and said if I clean that it should run fine. I did what he said and my heater has worked since that day 3 years ago without any problem. And I paid nothing. Thankyou Malins for the DISHONESTY!!!
