Milena’s Tailoring Custom Design & Alterations

I have taken several items to Milena and the work is suburb. I could not be happier. Her prices are extremely reasonable and Milena herself is just a nice person. And, she has been very timely in finishing the work in the time frame given. She deserves each and every one of these five stars. I am looking forward to having her make a jacket for me as she is an experienced tailor.

Milena always does a fantastic job whenever I take clothing to her… All of my dresses have turned out PERFECT each and every time. She is very kind and very experienced, she has mastered the craft of alterations. Thank you for always being so accommodating and I am looking forward to wearing my new dress!

I would give this zero stars if I could. Not only did she not have my bridesmaid dress even BEGUN when I was to pick it up the day and time SHE told me to come (The day I was flying to Boston for the wedding WHICH I was uncomfortable with but she assured me it would be perfect.) She did a horrible job on the tailoring. She only then had an hour to do the work. The hem which I didn’t notice at my two minute «final» fitting before I sprinted to the airport is completely uneven and four inches shorter than agreed. I had to buy flats to wear with the dress. On top of that when I took it out of the plastic I noticed three stains. Two look like food and one is a liquid stain. At least it zips up and doesn’t fall down or I don’t know what I would do.
While she is very nice she ruined a $ 250 dress and still charged me $ 80 for a botched job I literally could have done myself. I do not make much money and this is my best friends wedding. It was a stretch to buy the dress let alone the tailoring but I wanted it done right for my best friend’s day. I am so unbelievably unhappy with what has happened.

Milena is truly a master of her craft! Milena has done many alterations for me and my family over the last 10 years and just recently added some bra cups and boning to a bridesmaid dress for me. I also referred my friend (the bride) and Milena added a corset back to her gorgeous gown and made her a custom lace bolero number to cover her top section down to her elbows. It was STUNNING and Milena even added a sparkle detail to match the jewels on the gown. If you show her a picture of something she can make it! You will not be disappointed with her work. I’m extremely picky and do not let things slide. Milena’s seams are perfect, the fit is always like a glove and she is fast! She had my bridesmaid dress ready in days! She will work with any time frame as long as you let her know ahead of time. She is so sweet and I completely trust her with any work I send her way. Oh and her pricing is totally fair. I think I paid the same for this dress as I did on the one she fixed 10 years ago! So make sure you tip her if you are pleased with her work as her prices don’t match her craftsmanship. I don’t give out 5 stars easily but giving Milena 5 stars is a must :) thank you Milena for taking such good care of your customers! We appreciate you! Sarah

Milena is excellent with her craft. I used to only use a tailor in the Bay Area until I met Milena. Tailors practice a craft that must be mastered over time. Milena is that master. Although she and I will sometimes dispute pant length (we do so often), she does what I request and is so highly skilled that I come away as though my clothes were all custom. I haven’t sought my Bay Area tailor in over a decade. Now if I could only do the same with my shoe cobbler.
Just watch the pant length if you’re like me and prefer a fold in the pant legs.

If you are looking for a shop that will give you personalized service, I recommend Milena’s. She altered a bridesmaid gown for a wedding, she let the gown out an inch, replaced the original zipper, added straps and some fabric to the neckline. She knew my by name when I came for my fitting and was very helpful. Her prices are very reasonable, and I prefer the personal service that I recieved from her over the assembly line service you would normally get at a place like David’s Bridal.

If you are in any sort of rush (meaning under 2 weeks) be aware that you may not have your items done on time, if at all. I was promised a week and 2 weeks later it still had not been touched.
