Awesome taco place. We come here often after two of my kids are done with school and we’re waiting for my high schooler to get out. It’s kind of a hole in the wall, in between a liquor store(nicest guy ever that owns that place by the way, so go buy some water or Gatorade to go with your burrito!!!) So yeah, it’s built into the wall of a liquor store and it’s near the Jesus Center, so many people may be turned off from that but coming from SF, I happen to know that that’s where you’ll often find the best food and in this case it’s definitely true. Check it out!

I go to the one on Longfellow Ave. near InMotion Fitness. You can get a very tasty, large burrito for three dollars. I really like the carnitas.

Love this place… it is cash only but you only wait a few minutes and your food is ready. It is take and go there is no where to sit which is fine. I love carne asada tacos. Price is very good. i go here about 1 time every 2 weeks. It is definitely one of chicos hidden treasures.

Chico’s best kept secret! I LOVE this place. It’s literally a hole in the wall of the liquor store, next to a homeless shelter, in the middle of park ave. Not exactly an ideal location but definitely ideal food. Everything on the menu is good, and inexpensive. My fave is the chicken quesadilla… so much goodness! I’ve never heard anyone bash this place, ever. It’s so worth waiting in a parking lot next to Chico’s homeless crack head population for a killer meal!

Cheap, delicious, fast. I was super sketched out by it being in the side of a liquor store but after my first bite of a $ 3 vegetarian burrito, I was sold for life.

Don’t judge this book by its cover. Don’t let the windows scare you away from the Great food. my personal favorite is the Carnitas nachos. Best nachos I have found in Chico.

Based on the review, we went there for carnitas burittos. I don’t know how someone can say these are as good as they come in So. Cal. The food is very tasteless. It wasn’t bad, but it definitely wasn’t good. The portion is huge, and the price is low. We’d probably never return.

Best burrito in town. Best Price in town. Beats the taco truck next door hands down. Don’t let the exterior ward you off, it’s more than worth it.

BESTPLACETOEATINCHICO! If you are are worried about the window, they you probably will miss out on the best deals of all time. I suggest everyone on the menu. With dollar real tacos you can’t go wrong. The location might make you a tad nervous, but don’t’ let that fool you. The homeless shelter next door adds to the fun of the window. Often I was able to engage in fun conversations with people either coming from there or inside the liquor store. Don’t judge this place until you have eaten there.

First I’d like to state that as someone who is visiting from San Diego, my taste buds have certainly had their fair share of excellent mexican cuisine. From fast and cheap, to authentic. Afterall, that’s what you get when you live next door to the country this food originates from. Now let’s fast forward to the present. For the past few days, a «Yes, we’re open» sign hanging to the side of this little walk up window built right into Duke’s Liquor store, has beckoned to me. Finally giving into temptation, I decided to take a peek at this place here on Unilocal. All excellent reviews. However, being the last was posted back in February of this year, I decided to still give this ‘hole in the wall’ a chance, despite some apprehension. The people were friendly and the food was made to order extremely fast. I dived in head first and decided to try a carne asada burrito(w/o rice or beans) and a couple carnitas taco’s, as well as ordering a veggie burrito for a family member. For the price, cheap to say the least, this place surely gives you your moneys worth. For the taste, unfortunately, I wasn’t impressed. The taco’s were superior to the burrito, but that isn’t saying much, as I found the carnitas to be under whelming flavor wise. The carne asada within the burrito itself was tough and chewy, although the actual flavor of the beef itself was decent. Would I go out of my way to return here again? No, I would not. But if this was the only available place within sight and I was literally dying of starvation with a couple of bucks in my pocket, then I’d surely make due.

This is the business. Walk-up window in the side of a liquor store. Hands down the best carnitas in all of Chico. I suggest 5 carnitas tacos or the Carnitas Super Crazy Burrito. I have a certain way I order the Crazy Burrito: NORICE!, NOLETTUCE! NOONION! — Rice and lettuce have no place in a burrito. Rice is cheap filler that folks in NorCal seem to think is normal, and warm lettuce is just nasty. The onion omission is only because it clashes with the flavor party in this case. Just try it, and if you miss them you can get it in your next one as you will certainly return. Cash only — but you can go inside the liquor store and get a beverage and cash back.

Great food and cheap too. The flavor of a truck served out of liquor stores. There are a few of these walk up windows in town and one truck. The food tastes the same at all of them. Try the carne asada super burrito.

I didn’t go here in person(I waited at home while my lovely boyfriend brought it back, aha), but I hear it’s not surrounded by the best of establishments. It’s right next to a liquor store and a homeless shelter, so come prepared to talk to some slightly unscrupulous characters. As for the food… we both got al pastor burritos. The final verdict: mmm, this is really tasty! It doesn’t measure up to Tacos Moreno al pastor burritos, but with some good salsa, it might just come close. We’ll both definitely be back to Crazy Taco for future burritos(though next time, no lettuce).

I love this taco stand. I prefer the tacos over burritos here. They are the little silver dollar kind that you can eat a lot of and are cheap. They were selling some other stuff out of the window for a while too:
