Hey I was there last Tuesday. Me and my girlfriend came in around 3:50PM we decided to dine in and ordered something. That day I don’t know why but they were closing at 4PM and we did not know that. Long story short, The girl who took our order she was really rude and not even welcomed us. When she gave our food in to-go box. We started to open our to go box and eat really quick. She told us we are closing don’t you see the sign in front of the door. I said no I did not. After she said it’s not MYPROBLEM. She was so disrespectful and rudest person I’ve ever seen. I’ve managed few restaurant and bar and I know basically what’s the customer service is. She was completely strange. When I heard from her it’s not my problem. I went to counter and asked my refund money back because of her attitude. She said I can not I don’t have authority to refund your money. I was disappointed because of her. Food was not bad. I am really laid back person. I don’t really leave unhappy from restaurants. But I can not say same things for here. I am giving second star only for your business and your food. Customer Service fail. Cashier wasn’t happy enough to make customer happy. She was 5“11 and had glasses on. I think her name was Linda or something like that.

Wanted something quick and happened to walk past this place. Orange chicken was wayyyy too sweet. Fried rice was flavorless. The staff was very friendly though. Allowed me to get 1 entrée instead of 2.

I really like Chinese food but this place is disappointing. Panda Express is better but Silk Road is much better. You do get a lot of food and the service is great and quick. I got a 2 entrée lunch with General Tso and Orange chicken. They both tasted the same to me. Pretty sweet with no spice on the General Tso. I have been here twice now and both times I leave wishing I had gone to Silk Road. Don’t waste your lunch here.

I read the reviews but was hoping I’d still like it since I have a pretty low threshold for enjoying Chinese food. Unfortunately, the reviews are right. I came in the late afternoon so they had to make it fresh, which is understandable, but the general tso’s and orange chicken still tasted rubbery and gristly. Also, way too sweet. They were blasting club music at a volume that would be too loud at most bars and definitely made no sense at a restaurant like this. This may be why they misunderstood me and gave me fried rice instead of white rice. Pluses: The restaurant itself was very clean and new, employees helpful and price for the area was good.

Pretty decent. The yumyum shrimp is addicting(extra $.99) and I love the bottled jasmine green tea. Not a fan of their orange chicken. I find it tough and there’s no hit of orange at all. But, it’s a pretty good deal at 6.99 for two entrée and a side. They also have student discounts which is awesome. Soundtrack is youthful. Plenty of seating. Free hot tea. Overall this is a place on my rotation for lunch in the Loop.

Food not so good. But price is cheap compared to Panda Express. I see why. My orange chicken tasted old and chewy. Meat was disgusting. The rice was tasteless. The egg roll taste like garbage. Won’t be coming back to this place.

Pretty decent quick Chinese food. It’s very American, not authentic Chinese food. But it’s a lot of food for the price. So it’s just what I expected. Better than the standard Panda Express.

I will be very honest with you. I knew coming here was going to be a mediocre experience based on the reviews here on Unilocal.I ordered the two entrée with noodles and I couldn’t finish the food, in fact I may have eaten ¼ of my meal. But instead of taking the rest home with me, I ended up throwing it all away. It was super greasy, there was a thick pool of oil at the bottom of my to-go tray. The pepper chicken was good but the Mongolian beef was not. I personally wouldn’t go back unless they decide to cut about 75% of the oil they use while preparing the meals.

I wanted something quick, cheap, filling and something with rice and this place popped into my head. I wasn’t expecting much and that’s exactly what I got. For lunch you get two entrees for 7 bucks which is why this place gets a 2. The mapo tofu sauce was really thick like they added too much corn starch and the general tso’s chicken was all batter and the chicken that I did eat was just dry. I have to start making better decisions in my life. Does anyone else have that friend(or it could be you) that has music A.D.D. and can’t listen to more than 30 secs of a song before turning to something else? That’s what whoever is in charge of the music here was doing. It went from chill, Massage Envy music to techno to 80’s to hip hop and then a song in Spanish in 2 mins.

Well, at least the interior looks nice. I’ve been in the Loop for about a year and hadn’t gotten around to dining here yet. It reminds me of a Panda Express, only fancier. And with food that reminds me of when I worked in the Loop 10 years ago. I picked up a two-entrée plate with Yum yum shrimp and chicken and mushrooms. There is an extra $ 0.99 charge for the shrimp, but I can’t fathom why; it tasted very bland, and it needed a ton of soy sauce to get flavor out of it. The shrimp was okay, but the batter was(expectedly) soggy. The chicken and mushrooms didn’t fare much better. The mushrooms tasted good! The chicken lacked texture and flavor. More soy sauce! Combine all of the above with«meh» fried rice, and overall Wok Station falls well below expectations. Consider a real Panda Express instead.

Solid Chinese food, quick. The two entrée system is cool; great portion for the price. I like the brown rice here better than most places — actually nutty and good texture, not just brownish sticky rice like some other joints. I had an egg roll once that was good too, but the 2 dish meal is more than enough food for lunch on its own. Good quality vegetables, nice meat ratio in the portion and well seasoned. Service has always been great — fast and friendly — and while I get take out, the place looks very clean. Also, free hot tea! UPDATE: I’ve become a big fan of the cheapest lunch option in the entire loop: Hot & sour soup and an egg roll. It adds up to just $ 2.99 including tax! Nice option for a cheap smallish lunch on a cold day. If you find something cheaper, let me know. Also; pro tip I picked up from another patron: when you order the 2 entrée meal ask for half rice half veg(rice alone is A LOT of rice).

Go to 65 Chinese instead. Better service, even though 65 is all cranky old Cantonese ladies. Wok Station food is subpar even for generic mall Chinese food. It’s 20 minutes later and I can still taste the salt /MSG. Chicken & Vegetables and Spicy Beef & Mushrooms were in basically the exact same brown sauce, just with a little more hot added to the latter. Vegetables were overcooked. White rice clearly hasn’t been rinsed prior to cooking. Dumplings were Japanese style gyoza instead of proper pot-stickers, and were small and blah. Not much seating. Relatively clean but not exceedingly so. Décor was an almost decent effort at looking Asian’ish. Seriously, if you’re thinking of going, go to 65 Chinese instead, which is less than a block away. Far superior food, better service, much more seating, proper pot stickers, same price. Local business run by actual Asian people. What quick lunchtime Chinese food is supposed to be like.

More like 3.5 Stars. I am always a fan of new restaurants in the area since I have exhausted most of my lunch in the loop options. The ordering is typical fast-casual with the food already prepped and ready to get put together. Great if you’re in a hurry. I ordered the two entrée takeout and decided on the Yum Yum Shrimp and Black Pepper Chicken with Lo Mein Noodles. It was a good portion for a good price. The YY Shrimp was good and had a bit of sweetness to it similar to Honey Walnut Shrimp from most other Chinese restaurants. The Black Pepper Chicken was tender with a hint of pepper. Like most Chinese restaurant meals, there was some residual oil at the bottom of my container. I will definitely be back to try the other dishes and sides but overall, I thought it was a decent meal. I’m just happy that I have a new lunch option.

I work nearby and tried this place on a whim. I had the brown rice, pepper chicken and chicken & veggie combo(I uploaded a photo here of my actual plate). They were out of the pepper chicken, so I had to wait a quick few minutes for a new, fresh batch. Place itself is nice, clean and comfortable with tasteful décor. The staff was friendly. The food was ok. Think Food Court in the mall. Food is not cooked fresh to order. It’s in heating trays as you go through the line and pick your entrees. The pepper chicken was ok, tasty in a fast-food way. The chicken and veggie dish was in a brown sauce that reminded me strangely of pepperoni pizza. Frozen pizza at that. The brown rice was flavorless. I examined it because it resembled minute rice that may have been colored by a light soy sauce. The price is very reasonable at $ 6.99 for rice or lo mein, and two entrees. It’s a good sized portion. There is an urn of free, hot tea, which is a nice perk. Overall, not my type of Chinese food. I did eat my entire meal because it was ok, but mostly because I was hungry and I paid for it. Seemed busy during the time I was there(normal lunch hour in the Loop). I would say my overall impression is a resounding«meh».

So I really like this place! Ive pretty much tried everything on the menu at least once. I’ve talked about how great the yum yum shrimp was(very addicting). Im here at least once a week for it. I’ve recently ventured off the meat and seafood that i usually get and tried the stir fried green beans. Simply amazing they use the perfect amount of butter and garlic which doesn’t overpower the green beans. All of you vegetarians out there there are veggie dishes here. Another great dish would be the mo pu tofu. Also for those who want to try a new type of sandwich they have one called a chinwich they come on a bun almost similar to the steamed buns very soft but very good. The order comes with 3 sandwiches beef or chicken

Horrible. Food was visually unappetizing. Tasted like they use cheap/substandard ingredients. Mongolian Beef had only a couple of tiny pieces of beef, mostly onions. The General Tsao Chicken lacked flavor. Not good. Rather go to Panda Express and 65 Chinese for fast-food Chinese. I predict this place will not last very long.

Very good new place that will provide a good alternative to other wok take outs. Fresh food great staff and nice new furnishings make it a great lunch place.

Nobody likes 2 star reviews. They just mumble and stumble and end up not saying much, so I will keep it short The food is ok everything seemed like it has sugar in it. The pepper chicken tasted like KFC original recepie and the jalepeno chicken was more sweet than hot. The food is on a steam table and was luke warm. 65 Chinese can«eat this place’s lunch». My lunch partner threw his in the trash so I guess that’s a 1* non verbal review.

This place is so bad it’s unreal. I got the Kung Pao chicken and the General Tso’s chicken. Both were awful, all cheap, dark meat full of rubbery cartilage, even the portions were stingy. The Kung Pao was bland and the General Tso’s was too sweet and all breading and cartilage. I threw it all out after a few bites. The white rice is not jasmine rice. It was so completely gross I could not finish it.

Despite of the poor comment, I’ve decided to go ahead and try this new place out myself. Boy, was I impressed! The interior design of the restaurant is just wow! So warm and elegant. Even the tables have the Wok Station logo on them. I went there during their rush hour but the staffs were still very polite and patient. I ended up getting a 2 entrée meal(lo mein with yum yum shrimp and kung pao chicken). Yum Yum Shrimp was the bomb! I loved it! I actually thought that the Kung Pao chicken was just right. Maybe I am not a spicy person. So overall, I gave it a 5 stars! Can’t wait to go again next time I am in Chicago.
