The food was cold and bun was hard as a rock — horrible — service was bad it took 20 min just to get my order!

I love wendys dave hot and jucy sandwich so i ordered it. They have very stale food its not fresh at all. I told cashier easy on salt in fries but i guess he forgot to tell and my fries was cold and super salty. And the sandwich was cold dry. This is the worst place ever.

If I could give negative stars I would, have never been to a place of business where the staff was so rude. Unacceptable.

All I want is warm food, the correct order, and maybe a smile! I understand fast food has its days, I started out at Arbys when I was a teen. Seriously though… I really just want fresh food! I apologize, a few weeks ago there was a nice young gentleman that took my order and said thank you, have a nice day! I was shocked… females there, please, please… drop the attitude at the time clock! While you’re at it, give me my correct, hot fresh food.

Not as bad as it could have been. Other than the fact that my order total was «fourteen, teeeean» it was just like the Wendy’s I know and love. Oh, and a number 10 with bbq sauce and a diet, the first logical question she asked was, «what sauce would you like with that»… So not the sharpest tool in the shed, just sharp enough to serve me some chicken nuggets.

My bf got really sick from this place… He got 2 jr bacon cheeseburgers, nuggets, and fries on Sunday night. It’s now Wednesday and he’s still sick. I ordered a strawberry salad (mediocre, but it’s Wendy’s) and fries and came away unscathed. The lady at the cash register was very nice, but one of the cooks/​kitchen workers looked and sounded very much like she needed an occupation change. When cooks don’t look happy at a restaurant, it makes me nervous.

I don’t make fun of many people or places but I just have to tell you about what just happened to us at this Wendy’s drive-​thru. For all the people who work the drive-​thru, take heed to this message:
You may not always be able to hear us but we can hear you clearly. The initial greeting was courteous. Jason placed his usual order for one Grilled Chicken Sandwich. The girl couldn’t hear him so she repeated it back wrong. Thank goodness drive-​thru employees are taught to confirm your order.
She didn’t give us our total or tell us to pull up to her window. Instead, she began having a conversation with a co-​worker swearing this and that. Nothing about us, it was definitely a personal conversation she thought she was having discreetly. We were just like WTH?
When we pulled up to the window, she was plesant and acted like nothing was out of the ordinary (because she had no clue, which made us laugh a little). When she told us the total was less than $ 2 I knew right away she put in the wrong order. She made the corrections, charged the right amount and Jason got what he wanted.
He couldn’t resist not telling her that we overheard her and promised he wouldn’t tell. Of course, I would never promise such a thing. It was funny, not something a teenager should get in trouble for. I’m sure we all do dumb things in front of clients and not realize it. I just happen to like writing about funny incidents on Unilocal to make things more interesting. Besides, I didn’t do it!

Tried to go through the drive-​thru last week around 8 pm. What a nightmare! They were so horrible that I gave up after 5 minutes into the ordering process, leaving the drive-​thru line and going someplace else. I repeated my order four — yes four times — twice to the first girl who just seemed distracted and then to a nasty piece of work who sounded manager-​ish who was just downright mean (she was yelling at the first girl to take a break or relieve somebody else or something). Manager-​wench still only got about half of it right on the screen and then basically refused to listen or add my last item. I’ll take my money elsewhere thanks. And it’s not like I’m asking them to make something crazy. I’m ordering off their menu! It should not take 5 minutes to try to order 2 plain cheeseburgers and a fish sandwich. It just shouldn’t.

I am writing this review after the third time in a row that this establishment has messed up my order then refused to correct it. Tonight I ordered 4 of the $ 1 nuggets and apparently the cashier/​order taker took that as one package containing 4 nuggets. Also, when the nuggets were being ordered I noticed that she hit bbq sauce instead of the honey mustard i requested, when i corrected her, she snapped back that she got it. upon receiving my food I noticed that she gave me BBQ sauce. Seriously WTF Wendy’s. This place is not even worth visiting for a random late night drunken snack.

Arrived at 2:13 am upon placing my order for a number two + a large fry for my gf the employee taking the order tried ringing up a number one multiple times vs a number 2 for some reason. She was very short, failed at a welcome to Wendy’s, rude and lazy. We pulled up to the window and there was a group of employees just standing around. We went to pay and noticed she neglected to add the large fry to the order then we also asked about any dessert items available and was told «we don’t have none we about to close soon» (they close at 3am). We payed the 2.75 for the other large fry and instantly our order was ready. When receiving the order the burger was cold and the fries were very undercooked to the point of still tasting frozen. With witnessing the attitude of the employee we decided not to go back through and have the items made correctly. We will never ever return to this location ever again unless it’s totally re staffed. This is one of the Wendy’s that makes Dave Thomas tear from the heavens. Highly not recommended for your fast food needs!!!
I may even think the garbage can tried spitting it back at me when throwing the waste of time and money they call food from Wendy’s away.

In the past, visiting Wendy’s had always been a true delight. Unfortunatley, this specific location had some of the worst customer service and food that I have ever experienced.
The Wendy’s urge hit us on an early Saturday evening, so we headed out to the location on Western, near Lane Tech High School. This location is an old school Wendy’s and looks like it hasn’t been refurnished in years. The restaurant was nearly empty, but had a full compliment of young staff working behind the counter. I stepped up to the register, only to be told, «wait, I’ll be right back» by the employee. A few minuets later, the kid comes back to the register to take my order. Meanwhile, the rest of the staff were gossiping, arguing and yelling at each other, while preparing food. I was ready to leave at this point but really wanted a burger and Frosty.
After waiting 10 more minuets, the same employee that took my order, hands my food over to two girls. The girls then take my food, walk over to their table and put their hands all over the burgers. Realizing they didn’t have the right food, the girls return the food back to the register. Not only are the burgers and fries now cold, they have been touched by strangers. The employee then hands me the contaminated food and says, «here is your order». I wasn’t in the mood for arguing and just took the cold food over to our table. Right about then a female employee screams across the restaurant from behind the counter, «Hey, we gave you the wrong fries too!» She could have simply walked her lazy self from behind the register and handed us the correct order. I took one bite of the burger… Gross! I just couldn’t finish it.
Normally, I really love going to Wendy’s every now and then. I will never visit this location again. The people who work here are rude, absent minded and just not very pleasant. There are plenty of other Wendys in the city, so I won’t be back here again.

One word: ewwww.
On the plus side, going here has helped me to turn down fast food late at night!

I don’t usually write Unilocal reviews but I couldn’t let this go.
My daughter and I went there for lunch. We both had burgers and I was pretty shocked when the burgers were placed on the tray immediately, especially since I asked for no pickles. I didn’t think much of it until my child ends up with explosive diarrhea, fever, and abdominal craps about 8 hours later. Grand time! It got even better when I ended up with the same thing 48 hours later only add in some fun vomiting and extreme body aches. Now you might say, «oh that’s just a highly contagious stomach flu.» Sure… except that the 2 people other people who live in my house who didn’t eat at this filthy restaurant didn’t get sick. Yeah… I’m sure it was just the stomach flu. (insert eye roll here).
Bottom line — this place is nasty and it’s by the grace of God and coconut water that we didn’t end up in the hospital! I’ll NEVER eat there again. EVER!

Worst most disgusting Wendy’s in Chicago. This place always gets your order wrong and on top of it, its always cold. The people are so rude and always had attitude. If I can put no stars I would be glad too.

Seriously one of the worst Wendy’s in the city, neigh, the world.
If you go inside, the place is dirty, you get rude service, your order will be wrong, and you’ll wait forever.

WORST COSTUMER SERVICE EVER! DID NOT FINISH THE ORDER BY TELLING ME HOW MUCH! DID NOT GIVE ME MY CREDIT CARD IN MY HAND INSTEAD MADE SURE I PICKED IT UP FROM THE FLOOR!
YELLED AT ME TO MOVE MY CAR FROM THE WINDOW WHILE I CHECKED EVERYTHING WAS IN THE BAG… ASKED FOR MY RECEIPT THAT SHE FORGOT! AND STILL THE MANAGER DID NOT WANTED TO TALK TO A COSTUMER!!! My Dinner was Ruinned my Bread was BURNT!!!

I return to this location time and time again for the Community Fund Night but wow, I have to say the staff are terribly rude. No smile, no welcome. It is also ONE staff again for a very long line. I also found out that they have not kept their promise of giving 15% proceed to the organization I was trying to support– SINCE last year– not a single check. Why do the organization and visitors keep coming back here then? Something is terribly wrong.
By the way, their restrooms? Oh my. No matter how badly I had to use it after eating two of their burgers, I stayed very far away from the restroom. There’s no one cleaning them.

Avoid this place at all costs. The staff is THE WORST!!! The last time i was there we ordered a couple jr bacon cheeseburgers and nuggets (a seemingly normal order) we were asked to pull up to a parking spot and wait. Understandable if anyone was behind us but alas there was not. In the 10 minutes we waited an orkin man was pounding on the door demanding to be let in. If we hadn’t already paid we would have been long gone.

Wendy’s is my favorite fast food chain… the only one I will eat at out of choice instead of sheer hunger induced desperation. That said… yesterday I was on my way home from work and decided to grab a quick meal because I hadn’t ate much and was now starving. Was hoping that this location would be okay since CPS were on spring break and wouldn’t be filled with loud high students.
Well the students weren’t there but they had been replaced by loud and shrieking workers. I stood in line for a really long time while the staff chatted, laughed, hugged each other and did everything but pay attention to their jobs. I finally left because at the pace the manager was setting for her crew I could still be there waiting.
Sorry Wendy’s…corporate has to someday clean up this location. I can only think that they rely on the Lane Tech lunch crowds and don’t care about the rest of the day.

Wow did they have awful chicken nuggets. I don’t know if Wendy’s chicken nuggets all suck, or if this place did something wrong. But I was drunk and starving, and yet these were so awful I couldn’t eat them.
The spicy chicken wrap is no where near as good as the spicy chicken sandwich. I guess they want to encourage people to buy the more expensive one. I love the spicy chicken sandwich, but that wrap was terrible.
I should have stuck with my normal spicy chicken sandwich and a frosty!
