I bought a groupon for a haircut, and it was the most professional and stylish haircut that I have had in a very long time. Granted, I normally go to Supercuts or Fantastic Sams, but the haircut and level of skill I perceived very much impressed me. Liz was amazing. And they were super nice and not in the least bit snobby even though I was using a groupon (which can’t be said for most establishments).

I can’t stop telling my friends or about this place or Liz — she is amazing! I have been in Chicago for three years and have struggled to find a great stylist and salon that doesn’t charge me $ 100 for a trim. Liz is great! This place is great! 5 stars all around!

I went to Velvet Pin up for my first time
Last month. I get nervous trying new salons but I gave it a shot because I saw a groupon and this place had great reviews! I’ve found short hair cuts can be easy to mess up because the smallest details matter… However, I was extremely happy with my haircut here! It was exactly what I wanted and I will hopefully be going back today!

I went to Velvet Pin Up for the very first time because of a Groupon. I had a family member that liked their Facebook page and it came up my news feed. This place was just calling my name! I’m EXTREMELY happy I went here. Raquelle did my hair and she was super nice, and she knew how to hold up a conversation, made me feel as if I’d known her for a long time! She did exactly want I wanted with my hair and I absolutely love the way it turned out. I think I have finally found my go — to spot! Thanks Raquelle!

I stumbled upon this gem because I had a groupon. Normally groupons are a hit or miss but this place was SPECTACULAR! As soon as I walked through the door I was attended and offered coffee, tea, etc. Normally, I wait 10 – 20 min for an appointment but she was punctual and extremely nice. She did a great job on my hair and customized it to how I wanted it done. My hair is not easy and she did miracles! Thank you!!!

I just went to Velvet Pin Up for the first time. They got me in for a same-​day appointment and the haircut was excellent. I saw Liz and she was fantastic. I have short hair, but I don’t like for it to be boring. I like it to be a little edgy. She did a great job of finding that balance.
I didn’t partake, but they also offered me coffee and treats. Everyone was really nice. And a major plus ~ parking was a breeze.
