Had some very positive experiences volunteering at UAR. 1st time was on Christmas Eve 2011. Diana was very friendly and advised us of our roles as elves for Claus/​Cause and Effect which was providing clothing, food, and Christmas presents for lower income families in the area. Any and all donations were appreciated, and very nicely complimented and received, (I had brought along some candy for the families while they waited outside). I did not experience any of the problems that have been mentioned. Regarding the dogs, they seemed friendly and sat next to me at one point. Sorry to hear other people did not enjoy this experience.
