We went for New Years Eve 2016. The price for admission was $ 45 a ticket, which wasn’t that bad for NYE. However, all that came with that was a table and some party favors. This wouldn’t have been a problem if the music was better. I have been all over the country and the world and to tell the truth, I am not quite sure what it was. It was as though they started playing and never stopped. Some of the instruments were clearly not in tune and it sounded as though they had never rehearsed a day in their lives. The owner is very nice, but she was probably the worst part. She sang Janis Joplin, poorly, for at least 20 mins. At one time in the night we thought a song sounded decent enough to dance to, but when we got up to the floor, they changed songs and started telling the ladies to shake their asses; if I wanted to go to a club, I would have.

4 star. Big loud and always packed with good beautiful girls. Definitely place to go if you are local or visiting Chicago. Always a huge line outside. Face control is strict and that is perfect!

Terrible service and over priced food. I orderd my good 39 mins before a friend of mine and her food came out 5 minutes after my food. We had to ask for water, we orderd buffalo chicken wraps and where given these little fried egg roll looking things and a bag of jays potato chips for 11 $. I will not be returning to this establishment !

We found this little bar in our last evening in chicago. The music is good but really loud so dont choose if you really like to talk. The tias tostadas are a tip from the house and i can say they are really delicious. You need to pay entry that is okay but i rather want to tip the band. you can have a nice night here

I would give this place 5 stars but the acoustics and sound are terrible. Muffled and just plain aweful. It’s a shame. It has potential if they fix the sound quality and put more speakers throughout.

I can’t begin to describe how awful me and my family’s experience was. First — with the $ 10 cover, we expected to hear consistent «good» music. We got there and waited over an hour for the owner to arrive and start banging on the piano, then the rest of her crew just played on the guitar and drums — it was worse than nails on a chalkboard. Can’t believe this place got «rescued» for Jon Taffer. Utter disappointment

Went here for the live music and pleasantly surprised. $ 5 cover charge and cheap drinks are always a plus! Listened to Kaitie Kaden and she has a strong voice. She writes her own songs.

My friend and I were in Chicago for 1 night and looking for live music and found this place on Unilocal and really enjoyed it. They have music playing at the ground floor and the basement (hence the name Underground), so even if you don’t like what you see or hear at ground level, be sure to check out the basement. It’s a small venue but we were able to find spots to sit even late on a Saturday night. Cover was $ 15. Staff was friendly and the music entertaining so definitely worth a visit.

This would be a perfect place for you to sit down and grab a drink with your friends. Live Raggea Music, enthusiastic performers, great light, a variety of beer selection. I have been there twice and it has always been awesome.

Ended up here when looking for a late night spot and was impressed by the band.
Highlights
— Live music: we saw an awesome reggae band with a set of older guys and their instruments. They even played the one non-​Bob Marley reggae song we knew from our honeymoon.
— Open til 4am: some places can be open past 2 which is fun
— 2 for 1 cover with Unilocal check in: and cover is only $ 5
Lowlights:
— Even nearing 3am it was pretty crowded in this small space and not easy to get a drink.
Didn’t look like much from the entrance but was an unexpectedly cool spot featuring musical talent I might check out again.

This place was awesome. It is a high end club there is a great crowd! Its definitely pricey and fun we came here after another bar! I thought it was beautiful, they had great lights and furniture. The crowd was easy to get a long with and socialize! Everyone in there was beautiful this is like one of the clubs that you see in movies! Bottle service and good times!

I know that Cincinnati is a bit of a Jazz dessert, but this place was wonderful and left me yearning for a similar club in my town. I wandered into this place on a complete whim. In fact, I initially decided to not patronize the establishment because there was a five dollar cover. After meandering around to the other bars and restaurants around the area, I decided to make the small investment to enter this bar. I was treated to some of the best live jazz music I have ever heard… And this is coming from a guy that doesn’t listen to jazz! The place was busy on the Wednesday night at 10 pm, but the service was excellent, and the late night snacks were terrific. When I am back in town I will definitely seek this bar out again.

Chicago REAL tourist must see. This is GREAT JAZZ. The All Pro jam on Tuesday night starts at 10:30 pm and goes for a long time time. The Caliber of musicians walking in the door was incredible. Somebody that played with Eric Clapton and Ginger Baker was one of the last ones before I was forced to go. The Singers are amazing. Jazz– rock. Putting out CD’s. And this was the FREE NIGHT!!! They have bar food late that was just fine. It’s beautiful, convenient — and at night plenty of street parking. Must Go!!!

The staff is always eager to please and welcoming even when packed to the brim. As a foodie, I really enjoyed the clean and tasty treats offered up at all hours of the night. Singer Lorna Boston is BRILLIANT! Caught her and the iconic wondermaster Lonie Walker on the same night, LOVED Lonie’s music. All around a great experience!!!

Seen the episode of Bar Rescue, so while I was in Chicago my friend and myself stopped in. It was a 15 dollar cover which was kind of ridiculous. It’s a tiny space and the crayons and paper are still there. Can’t hear each other talk because the mics were so loud. Lonnie Walker tries hard but she’s better off just having the long jam sessions. The band itself is very good and Miss Walker is good with piano. They play long sets.
What pushed me over the edge was the waitress. When tables were empty she would grab all empty glasses turn the used crayon drawn liquor soaked paper over to be used again instead of using new paper, and from my observation she never wiped tables down after customers left.
It was nice just to say we went for the experience but wouldn’t return.

This place is unreal for the music! There was a five dollar cover charge. If you check in with Unilocal you get s buy one get one free on the cover charge.
The cocktails were really nice, according to the wife! We went on a Wednesday evening and was not that busy. Bar tender was very attentive. The band that was on was really good and could just sit there all night listening to them.
