Club heads, hipsters, industry peeps, business types, strippers, fashionistas, socialites, and, of course, Mr Beautiful. Both floors of the dark and narrow Teaze Lounge get packed with a diverse crowd of willing and able party animals who don’t mind grinding up against each other, whether it’s intentional or not. Not much has changed in terms of looks from the previous incarnation of this venue and the one before that, but the vibe is alive and it changes, depending on which night of the week you decide to show your pretty little face here. Whether you’re at the bar or at a table popping bottles, you’re guaranteed to have a great time. You’ll literally bump into a familiar person or two here, and will most definitely bump a little bit more with some new people as well. ;-) I HIGHLY recommend coming here on Wednesday nights. I may be just a tiny bit biased on that recommendation because they play all kinds of house music on Wednesdays. Don’t worry, if «House Music All Night Long» isn’t part of your way of life they have Top 40 Hip-Hop/Dance, Reggae and remixes on Saturdays. They also do the same on Sundays, but with a latin twist. FYI, sexy latin beats might get pregnant on the dancefloor. Don’t say I didn’t warn you. Like I said before, it gets busy here, but I like it and you will too. You’ll see more of a mainstream/commercial crowd on Fridays & Saturdays and more industry people & true party animals during the week and on Sundays, but overall the crowd is a good mix of just about everything on any night of the week. Think of it as a buffet and you get to sample whatever you want. ;-) Teaze Lounge is no tease and I’m actually quite pleased with the atmosphere, the people, the music, and the service that never fails to take care of Mr Beautiful. Holla!!!™

It’s funny, this is the sort of place that I laugh at and consider to be on the same level as SpyBar. But, somehow, I still managed to find a good time here for a little bit. They had a no cover open bar one night, so of course I’m there. It was, for an hour, free mixed vodka drinks and the waitress seemed indifferent that she wasn’t getting paid for making them. In the background, «Old School» was playing on the T.V.s and with this place trying to be classy, it was a little confusing. My friend and I wanted to dance because«Hey baby» by Pitbull came on and that’s our jam, man, so we dance like freaks because no one else will, too cool to leave their tables or the bar. Yeah, DON’T DANCEHERE because you can’t; the security yelled at us for getting too crazy. Yeah, whatever, hardly. And downstairs, they played some Mexican music and it was very strange in contrast to upstairs. Free bar, I’ll go, but I won’t plan a night around it.

This place is VERY tiny. It’s about 15 feet across and long. There’s a basement level, which was about 100 degrees when I went down there. They also ask for your phone number at the door. Make sure to give a fake number or else they will text spam you every week with promotions, and won’t stop no matter what you do. Better yet, just don’t go here.

Came here unexpectedly, and found half of my friends from college. haha, that’s not the 2 star part of course. It’s 2 levels, first floor has a bar, with a big screen tv. But the lower level is like a dungeon. It’s where people go to dance, but I don’t exactly know how you could possibly get a good move in being smushed together like sardines. It’s so crowded that it turns into a sauna and everyone is just an unattractive sweaty disaster. The bar is small and squished in the corner so you have to rub up on all the sweaty masses of people to even get to the bar. Music they were playing was old-school, I don’t mind, brought back memories. But I’d like to have heard some really good beat that I wouldn’t mind being sweaty and dancing to. dear management: puts some freakin air conditioning in the basement.

the music(R& .top40) was good about 50% of the time on Friday night. the bouncer didnt charge us cover but my friend who came later got charged 10 bucks. not cool. we got her money back, but not without some attitude from one of the bouncers. bartenders were pretty attentive and drinks are about 8−10bucks. not bad but not great. prolly wouldnt go back there.

This is a strange place. I think I could like it more in the future, but for now I’ll slap it with the ol’ three stars. Mostly because my experience there was like one of those times you wake up and you’re not sure if you had a nightmare because in your dream you were being chased by a giant crab but you were also having an awesome hair day(sidebar: this is a real dream I once had). There was no cover the night we went, which may have been a Thursday or a Friday, and I can’t remember because there was alcohol involved. We walked in I saw a dimly lit yes nicely designed room, bar, and DJ booth, a line of tables, and probably like 6 people standing around or at the bar. But we figured out that downstairs was where the action was. We walked down into the untz untz untz and found a crowded basement. There was another(smaller) bar, some seating, and a non-existent dance floor where people were dancing. This is what I don’t get… A bar/club/lounge has a perfectly good, stylish, cool(as in temperature) room upstairs when you walk in, but people are automatically inclined to pack themselves like over-perfumed/cologned/hair-sprayed sardines into a dark, hot, sticky, smelly basement? As the night went on, it just got hotter and sweatier as people became hotter and sweatier messes. Sometime between the time we got there and drunk thirty, a chick with a big bottle of Makers Mark came over to me with a small posse and they all started cheering. After nervously declining, I gave into peer pressure and the girl ended up pouring Makers down my throat while someone else took a picture. One that I intend to use on my LinkedIn profile, obviously! My advice to Teaze would be to ditch the Makers Mark girls and blackmail photographers. It’s a nice space but the patrons don’t make use of half of it. Put more emphasis on the dance floor upstairs by playing better music and making it more exciting so that guests don’t confine themselves to the dungeons.

LOVE this place! A very welcoming atmosphere. Great music and staff! Two floors of music and LOTS of room to dance. If «lounging» is your thing, there are more than enough tables as well as a VIP section. If you havent been here since AK, your missing out!!!

Not my type of place. I saw one of the servers had more tats than my bf. not so hot, but to each their own;) It was hard to get a drink and it wasn’t even crowded. my friends demanded that we leave bc they were a little creeped out, but I think I’d be willing to give it another shot.

i wish the owners and employees would stop making good reviews on their own place cause it makes it even worse to show the place is worse

The bouncer was not quite as nice as advertised. He wasn’t flat out rude either. I was planning to go to this place, not realizing there was a cover. Considering the place didn’t seem very crowded at the time and more people seemed be going into Fedor next door, it seemed rediculous to pay $ 10 cover. We decided to walk away when the bouncer tried to call us back and cut a deal that girls get in for free. Usually not a good sign though if they had that much business when the bouncer is haggling with you, since you say you’re going next door instead. Two of my friends did go in though before me and somehow did not pay cover. They weren’t overly impressed and did eventually join us next door. I am sure the place is ok. But it if its not a true hot spot I don’t see the point of paying cover. Especially if I just want a bar to chill out.

We’ve been trying to set up my friend and my birthday parties at Teaze but they are really horrible at getting back to you! We’ve heard great reviews on the club and really wanted/would still like to celebrate our birthdays there. We’ve made several attempts to contact Drucilla and Tony(the GM) but unfortunately we have still not heard back from them! :(

Top notch spot… The staff is very attentive and the owners are very cool. Also the security guys are nice and polite… Not dicks like at other places. It’s a great after work bar for those in the 2am industry. I definitely recommend checking it out.

to start — you should know ive been a frequent user of Unilocal for years, and have only found 2 or 3 places actually amazing enough to do a review on. i couldn’t have been more bummed to hear that Angels & Kings was moving to a new location, but when i found out«bartender jason» was the proud new co-owner of 710 n clark, all was okay in the world. i don’t ask for much in a bar, and figured no matter what teaze lounge would be a convenient stop with good music and nice staff. but to my delight, the awesome but unpretentious new venue by jason and his business partner tony far exceeds my expectations — ridiculous djs, amazing staff, dance parties, and even a more intimate downstairs for lounging(also with ridiculous djs and amazing staff). consider it AK2.0, but better.

Definitely did not know AK moved to Hard Rock until I rolled into Teaze! Finally, Jason Z has his own place — bout time! Had a great time man with DJ spinning from the olé good days of Elm Street! Hit this spot up if you can — got space for you to move/dance(upstairs and downstairs) and still feel cool as hell! Well done Jay, well done! Now, get a website and show this place off!

After the announcement of the Angels & Kings move from 710 N. Clark St to the lobby of the Hard Rock Hotel, everyone’s favorite AK bartender Jason Zinkann opted to open his own bar in the barely even vacated space. Anyone who was a fan of AK710 will love Teaze. Utilizing both floors and featuring a DJ on each floor, the space attracts an eclectic array of nightlifers, out to have a great time.
