Disappointed. Ordered the panko cod sandwich and the fish was very hard and overcooked and the sandwich lacked flavor. Fries were better than the sandwich.

it’s tokyo sub during the day, sublime sushi at night. like a stripper going to med school, except all the fun happens during the day. my favorite by far is the BBQ pork sub. fatty, yummy, pork all up on the barbie, topped with green apple slaw. it’s got that great smoked flavor i adore. the bulgogi philly cheese steak one is pretty good, too. mmmm. the cheese is perfectly melted. softshell crab is deece. it’s large and really hard to eat #twss. comes with lettuce, tomato, and sauce. i didn’t love it. though the crab itself is really delicious, everything else on that thing was mediocre at best. i didn’t try the chicken katsu sub, but i heard it was dry, which killed the meal. [insert sad trombone here.] i know you’re wondering, «kris, how does a shorty like you eat all those subs just in 2 visits?» well, you see, they’re cut in half. SO, you bring a friend or 2(asian or not) and you go halvsies on those MFers. WINNING. make it a value meal with those DELICIOUS fries and spicy banana ketchup. coca-cola products available. this place is legit for asian subs. i’m telling you, the viets know how to make a good sandwich. however, the service sucks. i think that the cooks are there to prep dinner during the day, so they sorta neglect you, as there’s no server. boo.

Excited to see a new sandwich option for lunch in the neighborhood. I’m not a huge fan of Sublime’s sushi, but I think they may be onto something with the sandwiches. Prices are extremely fair, and you get a good amount of food. I ordered a Chicken Katsu sandwich, which I didn’t love, but I think I may have just ordered poorly. I will definitely be back to try another of the options on the menu. I was fairly surprised how many sandwich options Tokyo Sub has. In addition, there are some salad, wing, and other options. I hope this place makes it. It was empty when I went in for a late lunch, although my guess is that not many people know about it yet. Their loyalty card makes this a tremendous deal, and while it isn’t the food you would want to eat every day, I think there is promise here. I’m hopeful my next sandwich will be a bit better than my first, and if so I will continue to be a repeat customer.

This place just opened and I think I may have gotten the first sub they made, and it was GOOD. You can’t go wrong with BBQ Pork. It’s sweet and sour and just overall delicious. I can’t wait to go back and try the others. This location has seen a high turnover throughout the past five years, but I really hope Tokyo Sub /Sublime Sushi can weather the curse. One thing: Sublime used to offer peanut chicken wings, and they were fantastic. I was hoping they would bring them back. Tokyo Sub serves wings, but sadly not that flavor.
