So disappointed! I ordered the Vegetarian Delight specifically because it listed baby corn and snow peas as ingredients. No baby corn, no snow peas(but mushrooms, which I hate!) Also, when our order arrived short one order of egg rolls, the restaurant was very apologetic on the phone, and offered to reimburse us; but when the payment went through, they still overcharged us. It’s a shame too, because the food, otherwise, was very good. Very spicy, which I like. For a person of lesser means who can only rarely order out, I just expect to get what I pay for.

A family favorite of ours. Great food. Nice prices. My wife and I have been coming here since it opened and we always take our suburban family and friends here. They are like family to us and Thai Uptown is our standard for all Thai food. We love it!

Has a great dinner at this place. Vietnamese spring rolls, pad thai and an awesome thai noodles soup. Great food and the price is great too! Also the chap serving is very friendly — all in all thumbs up!

Everything about this place was wonderful! We were greeted the minute we walked in. We ordered the tofu pad see ewe, garlic chicken, and egg rolls(which he gave to us for free). It was all delicious! We waited for our food to be made to take to go and it took only 10 – 15 minutes. We will definitely be back!

I ordered pad thai and penang curry for lunch. They are disasters, the worst pad thai ever. The curry is not bad but I ordered medium spicy and it turns out TOO spicy so I cannot eat it. Only the crab Rangoons are good. Nerver again

I like a ton about this place. The wife and I have never dined in as we live fairly close by and have a newborn, but the food is fantastic and they’re very friendly and courteous staff is great too. Pad See Ewe, Drunken Noodels, Curries, satays, 3 spice chicken, all very tasty. I give them only a 4 because we didn’t love their pad-thai, but everything else was really good, warm, full of flavor, very friendly, well priced, all adds to high marks!

Thai Tom yum smelled like dirty diapers, even my dog hesitated before forcing it down. I’m not exxagerating, it was really foul. My house still smells. The pad thai had no bean sprouts or lime, just the saddest lemon wedge you ever saw. Veggie tofu soup was bland. Blech. Never again, especially in a neighborhood full of better places.

Our favorite, local, Thai place. Good variety on the menu, relatively cheap, and fast delivery. Can’t beat it.

Good food at reasonable prices. I’m a big fan of the panang curry. More than happy to support this local business.

I got the pad Thai. It wasn’t terrible, but I asked for it to be spicy and it wasn’t spicy at all. Also had no green onions, which are a big part of pad Thai.

I can usually rely on my Unilocal-ers but this was a disappointment. Utilized the rockin’ Eat24 app to order from Thai Uptown. Just a basic noodle dish and crab Rangoon. Rangoon were decent but only came with a thimble-sized of barely flavored sauce for 5 Rangoon. The noodle dish was ordered sans mushrooms but was full of them and was ordered medium spice — again, barely any flavor(& I’m usually a spice wuss!). I usually give places a second chance but there are too many other Thai options close by that I’ll try first.

Out on our way to montrose beach, we got off at the Wilson red line stop. It was a hot day and we were just looking for somewhere that had AC. Walked into this unassuming little restaurant, only to be delightfully surprised at the refreshing plates of food we received. We got the papaya salad and duck with sweet basil. Both plates were spot on. The salad was refreshing and had a kick of spice. The duck had many fresh ingredients. The service was great as well! Spot on experience.

I was here for lunch, which is SUCH a good deal — I would highly recommend. I had the tofu pad see ewe, which also came with a choice of vegetable spring rolls or crab rangoons, as well as a cucumber salad. The cucumber salad was delicious and very light, but, unfortunately, the second half of it was absolutely drenched in dressing, and was pretty unpalatable. The pad see ewe was good, pretty standard fare. I had the vegetable spring rolls, which I didn’t like at all, but my friend ordered the crab rangoon and loved them!

Considering I eat here on the regular, it’s only right to upgrade to four stars. Their fried rice, pad see ew, and garlic chicken is bomb and is right next to the Wilson redline stop making it the carry out choice when coming home off the el.

Friendly with delicious red curry. The beef portion was generous as well. Also enjoyed the Tom Kha, no shortage of lemon grass. The icing on the cake was the Thai chili powder ground in house, really spicy!

I’ve driven by Thai Uptown tons of times and always wondered about it. I was finally able to eat here a few days ago. Ordered the usual… tom yum soup with shrimp, beef salad, chicken pad siew, red curry with beef, and thai iced tea. Every dish was pretty solid, the prices were decent, and the service was quick. The thai iced tea had a bit too much cream and masked the tea taste. Overall, it was a good experience and I would come back again since it’s pretty close to me.

This is the only place I will go for lunch after class. Always fresh, friendly and inexpensive. Everything I’ve tried has been great. The lunch special has to be the best in the city. The crab Rangoon is soooo good and the salad has a delightful dressing. Try the«secret Thai menu.» I usually get the panang curry or thom Kai gai. Large portions! The owners are super friendly and they usually have something amusing on the TV like TMZ.

Excellent value for $$. Lunch specials for less than $ 7 comes with a salad. A dive with clutter to boot. Great location — across the Wilson Red Line train station. Menu — ordinary. The same standardize staple. Salad — dressing was perfectly added to lettuce. Crab Rangoon — just right Beef Basil Fried Rice — good portion. A okay. I finished the entire dish. Whoa! Thai Iced Coffee — too sweet.
