The staff can be a bit apathetic at times. The food is okay, but honestly nothing special. I’ve had better oysters. The lobster was a bit spongy. Some of the hot food arrived cold. The view is magnificent though.

Geez these drinks were pricey… our cocktails were $ 23 each. But the beautiful view is what you what makes the experience worth it here. We were checking Unilocal to find a rooftop bar to spend a nice sunny afternoon and came across this place as one of the few that were open earlier in the day. The balcony was pretty packed when we arrived, but we were able to get a standing table farther back from the balcony edge. I ordered the beauregard gin that came blue pea flower ice cubes; it was a pretty girly drink but it delicious! No shame: P Girlfriend ordered a tequila cocktail that had a pretty spicy kick to it. I think I won in terms of drink orders: D Overall, a solid place to enjoy some fantastic views in the heart of the city, but don’t expect much from the overpriced menu.

The view is amazing. However, the food and drinks are not worth the price. We would recommend just coming for a drink or two to enjoy the view. Our waitress was very friendly.

Amazing views, great place for a cocktail. Don’t like the first come, first serve policy. Would rather be able to make a reservation…

Pretentious. Yep. I walked in out of a conference and tried to get on the terrace, noticed something very strange and I think I was more cognizant about it just because everyone seem to be snobbish when I was there, but I was one of very few minorities that was on the terrace. After I was seated in the back of the patio, closest to the wall, I rarely had any service. I bought two drinks and left promptly after. I’d come back for the views, but I doubt I’d want to spend my money here again.

Pretty views, but way more hype than needed about this place. Don’t get me wrong, it was pretty but it wasn’t my favorite place. I would take someone here to impress them for literally a drink. Good for client entertaining/small parties

We came for the view, and knew that the alcohol is going to be marked up because… it’s Trump, and you’re paying for this view you can only see here. We got wine and beer. They were standard(i.e. small) sized portions for the big markup, so I was a little disappointed with that. It was like $ 1 per oz of beer if you think about it, more expensive if you add the tip and tax. We were hungry too, after looking at the menu. We have allergies to garlic though, and the waitress was uninformed about the ingredients past what was written on the menu so she took some time to communicate with the kitchen(appreciated). Unfortunately she found that most of the food is already marinated or pre seasoned before cooking so they couldn’t accommodate us. We ended up ordering the poke because it isn’t cooked. It’s not poke, it’s tuna sashimi on arugula. They avoided any sauce and any other flavor additions to the meat because they didn’t know what was in the sauce and didn’t want to accidentally have a customer with an allergic response. $ 28+ for tuna sashimi. «ok» tuna sashimi. I would expect for such a price that the kitchen knows their ingredients and knows their sauces so that they can confidently serve our food without worry of garlic allergies. All the fries are doused in garlic too. They can’t make plain fries. But we checked the view on our«Chicago experience» list, so we won’t have to come here again.

The view on the terrace was breathtaking, but the food was just ok, and the service was horrible. I ordered a rum cocktail that was presented in a real coconut with the trump imprint. I ordered the scallops, soft shell crab and the fries. The scallop dish was ok, but they were monstrously big. The soft shell crab dish was mediocre, and the fries were extra salty. This is one of those places where you go see what the hype is and never go again. With the proper management and vision, this establishment could have great potential. It’s a shame.

I absolutely loved loved loved this spot with breathtaking view and fantastic cocktails. I was visiting Chicago city for the weekend first time and came out to this fabulous rooftop on a calm Sunday night, service was very attentive, had bottle of Rose and a fancy cocktail that came in a shape of skull(I saw it being served at the other table and decided to give it a try) I was amazed! Loved the crowd, the service, the entire ambiance! Will definitely visit again when in Chicago!

Was able to get in without reservation with a group of 8 at 9:15pm on a Saturday due to the manager hooking us up and seating us at the picnic table near the back. Good enough! The view was amazing and we were there for the fireworks. The initial response was 2hrs to seat us with last call at 11pm. Drinks were a bit slow. The Terrace was packed. Our group of 8 turned into a group of 20 once everyone texted how great the location was. Worth a stop for the views. Next time may consider the $ 10020 scoop ice cream sundae

Located on the 16th Fl of the Trump tower, some of the most incredible views of this fair city can be found! Although it was a sweltering 84 degrees when I arrived, up there a nice breeze, bordering on chilly, could be felt. Don’t worry, if your chilly the hostesses will provide you with a pashmina, or a shawl. We arrived on Saturday night, sans reservation, and it was packed, bar and tables included and I may have slipped and said I came up from the Rebar downstairs to avoid waiting. It worked, but I think the hostesses knew(wink). We had a specialty cocktail each, an order of wagyu sliders, the Korean chicken, 2 orders of fries, and a couple of hundred dollars later, tip included, we were stuffed! Whenever I feel I spent a bit too much, I call it an experience, and really this was an experience. Granted, a bit pricey, but well worth it. The service is top notch, the views spectacular, and the food good enough. Make this one of your rooftop bar stops, a night cap or pre dinner drink. I’d say it’s one of the best here.

This swank Chicago spot sports a sleek and colorful interior as bartenders sling sweet cocktails. Dining is available in the expansive lounge, and the food is very, very good. Terrace at Trump is a great spot for dinner or drinks. Can’t wait to go back in 2016!

While I skeeve out a the name(I can’t stand Trump), the hotel is top of the line. I was there for a work event and the company had rented a top floor of the hotel with the most amazing views of the city. The décor was just beautiful. The hotel was stunning. I actually thought it was an apartment when I walked in. I know it’s very expensive to stay here, but if you can swing it then I highly recommend it. It’s mind blowing!

I must say, the view is absolutely jaw-dropping. The rest of the experience… not so much. It’s a hotel lounge, so you’ve got your usual suspects: The quiet couple; The loud group; The business meeting; The scantily clad 20 something who’s outfit and demeanor hint of «Call Girl» and; The«worldly,» casually dressed, middle-aged businessman who thinks he’s clever and constantly hits on the waitress(she’s heard it all before, pal). I am by no means poor, but neither am I loaded. I’m willing to pay extra, if the place is deserving — but there’s a limit. This place goes over that limit. My wife and I just popped in for drinks and maybe a snack. She was brought a glass of wine, that didn’t actually make it to the table because of some«dust» in it. When it did come back, the volume of the pour was noticeably lower than the original. As for me,(as any of those who follow me will know) I ordered a martini. What I got was a champagne glass of water with«essence» of gin in it. The absolute worst martini in Chicago. People need to know that serving a martini in a champagne glass is disrespectful to the cocktail and only causes it to get warm faster — so Trump lost points there. Then we look at the menu… a $ 100 Sundae? Seriously? A $ 40 lobster roll(We saw it go by — it was TINY) and $ 18 for an appetizer of french fries. Sorry, but I don’t care if Jesus Christ himself curated those potatoes and came with a guarantee of salvation, I’m not shelling out 18 bucks for fries! As the saying goes, «A fool and his money are soon parted.» That seems to be Trump’s business model, too. Well, you got $ 50 for two drinks out of me, but that’s all you get, Donald! The view is nice, but not enough to get me back.

This one of the nicest hotel lounges I have seen in a longtime. Whenever I am in Chicago this my first choice to stay. The lounge offers great views and very friendly staff. All around I never had one bad experience here. If you are just meeting friends or clients you can enjoy yourself. All the people who visit here are super nice. If you are a person who enjoys nice terraces you will enjoy this one. All around the service is outstanding. They have excellent food and great wine list. If you are just a person who wants to relax with a glass a wine or something to eat you need give this place a try. You can’t ask for a better location then this. You are overlooking the river walk in the heart of Chicago. If you are just coming for a romantic evening or just to with some great company you will enjoy your self. What more can you ask for then a million dollar view. The service from A to Z is outstanding. I look forward to coming back here again.

One of the best breakfasts I’ve had, and with a view at that. I had a lobster omelette which was very amazing. The 5 star treatment and view made it special, but the food is really good to begin with, and it was made even better with the ambiance and good service.

Incredible views of the east side of the city overlooking the Chicago River and Lake Michigan. Great picture spot. Perfect summer date spot to grab a few… or may just one since they’re insanely expensive at ~$ 20…drinks. I ordered the Fruit Raspado which was flavored shaved ice topped with strawberries, raspberries and blueberries. It was the most expensive, but the best tasting shaved ice I’ve ever had. I could only describe it as heavenly.

We came down to the terrance(while staying at the hotel) to have a celebratory begin-the-weekend toast for my friend’s impending nuptials. The maid of honor talked the hostess into seating us immediately at a high top table. We ordered champagne(ahem, sparkling wine), toasted and enjoyed the view. We had no problem ordering, and the bottle, ice bucket and glasses were presented quickly. We did have a difficult time obtaining the bill when we were ready to leave. We enjoyed the experience and the amazing view over the river to Lake Michigan for the sunset. Since we were here for a special occasion it is a bit hard to give a rating. I do not think I would go back on an average Chicago trip. As others have noted, the drinks are expensive. We were lucky we were able to be seated as it appeared that others were turned away. Many of the tables for dinner had reserved signs. If you have a special occasion, this was a great start to our night.

Breathtaking! My husband and I were a little nervous about spending 18 plus more bucks on one cocktail each– but it’s a once in a lifetime must do! The intimate setting for 2 along the outskirts of the terrace are beautiful. I would definitely try something off of the cocktail list and the waitress will be helpful with the decision making process. A few tips: –Wait for a good weather day! –Go on a weeknight right around 5:30. The less people the better. I feel like the terrace is best if you are there to relax with a friend or a date. Plus you’ll be better at scoring a seat outside right near the front where I found the experience to be best. –To make reservations it’s 100 per person not including food and drinks and is super unnecessary. At the hostess stand, I requested seats for 2 and they said the wait would be 45 minutes to an hour and within 5 minutes I was text messaged saying the seats are ready. –Enjoy yourself! Because of the expense– I see myself coming once a summer so make the visit worth it!

Breathtaking views of the city are the main attraction. The terrace at Trump Tower offers overpriced cocktails and expensive gourmet finger food, however the views are beautiful. Despite the price, the food is great! I had the Wagyu beef sliders and would definitely order those again! The main reason why one would go to this place is to enjoy this privileged view in an upscale environment, thus I rate the place based on this criteria.
