Recently went to 10Pin for a corporate charity event. I had a great time and I’ll definitely be back. There are plenty of lanes and lots of space to hang out after work, bowl a few frames, knock back some drinks, and have fun with colleagues, friends, etc. There is a full bar whose prices are in line with other bars/restaurants in River North which is good because places like this can be a trap if you’ve come to bowl and find out the prices are atrocious. Our event also had catered pizza which was excellent. I was actually shocked at how good it was for a bowling alley. The service was also quick which was excellent especially given that the place was packed. The bowling facilities are top of the line and everything is really clean. My only problem is that the lanes are incredibly cramped. There’s no place for shoes, bags, coats, etc. and each lane only has a high top table with 6 stools that are within arm’s length of the tables for the lane next door. If all lanes are being used you’ll feel like a sardine. I’ll be back sometime soon.

We came in on a rainy day to hang out before our flight back to TX. The place was completely empty but it was a great way to kill a little time. Cosmic bowling is fun and it’s pretty cheap. If you check in you get a free cookie skillet with ice cream! It’s clean, staff is friendly and attentive, and it does not smell like smoke. I would recommend this if you’ve got a little extra time or need to wait out some bad weather in Downtown Chicago.

Decent service, subpar food, overpriced drinks. Bowling alley itself is swanky and fun. Good place to bowl with friends, never gets too packed but always has a chill crowd.

Surprisingly really packed for a Tuesday at 8PM. There were only a handful of lanes open. Luckily we’d reserved a lane ahead of time for 2 hours for 8 ppl(~$ 65 per hour, way cheaper and it includes shoe rental!). The bowling technology is outdated and our lane didn’t function correctly a few times. Food was meh. Service kind of sucks. Pretty average bowling alley.

Nothing special. Bad service, underwhelming, would not recommend. We had a group of six for a birthday party on a Saturday night from 8 to 10PM. We expected a nice lounge atmosphere and good quality food and drinks. It was all typical of any bowling alley. No better environment. Drinks were terrible. All six of us ordered different wines and cocktails and were so disgusted by them that we all ended up sticking to beer. The tables by the lanes are tightly packed and the recommended six people to a lane was really cramped and uncomfortable. I was thankful that friends who wanted to eat and drink but not bowl did not show up because there was no space to move around. We are all skinny and were having a hard time finding ways to squeeze around each other and the neighboring tables to get to the lane for our turn. The website made it appear like this was a nice place for food, but the cramped table/lane setup made it impossible to fit any food dishes on the small circle tables, especially not with drinks. The food taste was mediocre. Eat before you go there. Our waitress rarely appeared and we had to watch for her and flag her down to get a drink or order food. Everything was extremely slow and she acted like being at work was an inconvenience. We only had two rounds of drinks in two and a half hours because of how slow the service was. The website said that after 8PM, it would be a 21+ only crowd, which was a big appeal for us. Instead we were surrounded by families with very young children the whole night. The music was soft, slow and depressing the entire time we were there. This was a terrible location for a Saturday night celebration.

We were here for a group event and given that this place specializes in group events and corporate events, they should be well staffed to take drink orders and serve drinks. It was a hassle finding our server, we were constantly looking for her, and really long waits to get drinks. The food was greasy and very disappointing. The sliders and mini hot dogs were the best things out of the choices we had. Baked potato had a ton of cheese on it and thoroughly dried out, the artichoke dip was greasy, the fried ravioli was gross. They had several different event groups right next to each other so it felt cramped. The actual bowling was good though. Lanes were nice and we played a full round. The floors were a bit slick though as two of our team members slipped. I guess I’d say it’s an ok place for a work event, not sure I’d go here for bowling just for fun. Then again, I hate bowling.

10pin is your local neighborhood bowling alley within the confines of the loop. Well it is just north of the river but you get the idea. 10pin is everybody’s bowling alley. It does not come off as too highfalutin and is not necessarily a place to go to be seen. Simple bowling alley with good lanes, good entertainment, and good food and drinks. Bowled here as a part of a larger group and we were able to fit 8 people to each lane. Located on the second floor, you walk up and either go to your right or left to find your party. The check-in and shoe rental is straight ahead. Both sides have an area where food can be served or people can sit at tables and couches. 10pin has oily lanes and nice projection screens across the entire alleyway. Don’t miss a strike, gutter ball, or a moment of TV sporting action.

Cool bowling alley in the heart of the city. I would have given them more stars if their drink prices weren’t so ridiculous. No only is 10Pin far too expensive(prices are higher than most of the upscale bars in the area) but the bartender on duty the day we were there was pretty rude and not helpful at all. Go only if you feel like bowling.

Fun place to have a company party! Lost a star do to the lack of space between parties. But the bowling is fun and I like the big video screens on the wall!

This is the best bowling alley in Chicago. I know I know… what makes a bowling alley better than another? Well, this place has discounted games prior to 5 pm which is cool if you just want a matinée roll before life comes at you. Also, the staff here are top-tier. Just good folks from the front desk to the bartenders to the waitstaff just a common thread of people who enjoy working there and show it. The lanes are legit. The shoes are newish. The beers are cold and not crazy expensive. Not sure what else you need to know. Its for real…

A decent place for bowling, & great for group parties, but do not come here for the food. Food seemed like the kind that gets frozen & then reheated when ordered. At least that’s what the buttermilk chicken & the pizza tasted like.

I liked this place a lot. It was super chill and even though I’m not a huge bowler(wrist issues) I was invited to tag along and give support to those who did bowl by drinking beer and eating bar food. The music a 90s mix at the time I was there and the lighting was low and very relaxing. Since we were there for a few hours we got to know the bartender/server who was very polite and attentive.

My interest in bowling would be beneath the threshold of resolution of an electron microscope, but as part-time resident of Marina City I felt obligated to check out the bowling alley bar, on the second floor of the office building next to the Chicago Hotel. I was there in the afternoon, during the early innings of the Cubs-St. Louis NLDS game; not a single bowling lane was in use, and I was one of only three patrons at the bar. Surprisingly good beer selection for a bowling alley bar. Oh, of course the usual industrial stuff, but also a selection of craft beers in draft, bottle, or canned form – and the bartender assured me that these, at least collectively, outsell Miller. Among items on hand: Southern Tier Pumking and 2XIPA; Goose Island Matilda, Green Line and 312; Dogfish Head Namaste; Lagunitas IPA; Half Acre Getaway. I tried a local product that was new to me, Temperance Gatecrasher IPA. Clear bronze, light head. Minimal nose. Delicious taste of hops against slightly sweet malt. Long, mouth-filling bitter fade. Carrie Nation might have pawned her hatchet for this one – nah, probably not. On the 36-Broadway bus line southbound, 36 and 22-Clark northbound; a few blocks from Grand or Lake on the Red Line, and Clark-Lake on the Loop(Brown, Green, Pink, Orange, Purple Express) and Blue Lines. Half a block from Harry Caray’s and Public House; two blocks from South Water Kitchen.

The worst thing that I do before visiting a place is having high expectations. So, I won’t necessarily blame this establishment, but rather those overly optimistic expectations that I established beforehand. GOODBAR. I know, who starts a review of a bowling alley with the bar? Something may be wrong with me. I won’t say it’s a great bar either because the selections were limited. They didn’t have some very common mixers, such is ginger ale. Which means, no horse’s necks. They can make the very basic of drinks. Vodka selection was good(they had Belvedere), but they ran out of it after 3 shots and I had to switch to Tito’s. Sadness. ODDVIBES. I don’t know honestly who they are appealing to with music tastes, but it was the strangest pop music playing over the speakers and annoying music videos on all the TVs. In other words, expect a Justin Bieber overload. DECORISVERYBASIC. I’ve been to some amazing bowling alleys over the country and this is just not one. Nothing unusual or out of the ordinary other than having a bar, décor was cheap. I LIKEDTHEFOOD. I generally have low expectations for bowling alley food, so this exceeded it by a small but noticeable margin. Ps. Even on a Friday night, they are not too busy. So grabbing a lane should be relatively easy.

My office decided to go here for a team outing since we work in River North. I forgot the male bartender’s name, but he was nice, friendly and cool. The place is clean and a tad loud, but that’s expected at a bowling alley. Prices were a tad high, but much better going here than a neighborhood alley. Waitress mixed up wing order but quickly corrected issue.

Eh, nothing to write home about. It’s small, dark, and the food is just so-so. The service was the same.

Great service for a bowling establishment. Fair priced drinks. Clean facility. Good clean fun. Reasonably priced as well. Great spot for a group looking to have a good time during the winter. During the summer the weather is too good to be indoors.

Fck this place. Waited over two hours to bowl when the receptionist said one hour. Best part was when we got to our lane it was FILLED with dirty dishes, salad bits all over the floor and nasty shit everywhere. There wasn’t even a table for us — the only nice person in the entire place ended up fetching one for us about 20 minutes later. Go somewhere else, this place blows
