As mentioned in other reviews, the staff is very friendly here(which is a different from most of the food court). The food is fine. Not great, but not bad. The menu is almost entirely various types of chicken and rice. I usually get two types of chicken and rice. It’s pretty filling, it can make one big meal or could be divided into two smaller meals. The unhealthy chicken(orange, sesame) wasn’t impressive(I’d go to Panda Express if you want crunchy orange chicken). However I do enjoy the cashew and BBQ chicken. There rarely is a line, and when there is it does move quickly, and they’re very generous about giving out samples.

this place has most unappetizing orange and sesame chicken I think I’ve ever had. the meat was gross, and the sauce was extremely bland. i wouldn’t recommend anyone eat here unless they hate life or recently lost their tongue somehow. bonus star for the awesome cashier, though, which is still a reach.

Have you ever had Sakkio Japan’s teriyaki chicken(usually found at the food court in the mall)? That delicious quick fried chicken that’s served piping hot with the teriyaki sauce perfectly caramelized? That’s what I was craving and that’s not what I got. My lunch was gross. I feel sick after eating here and I’ll never be back. I tried a sample of the spicy chicken and it was quite tasty, so I got an order of the half teriyaki and half dragon(spicy) chicken with the fried rice. It was all gross. The chicken teriyaki was ugly! It looked like slimy mushrooms. Me no likey.

Tucked away in the corner of Ogilvie(on the side where the Popeye’s is located) is this little place. Saw some friends at the station and this is what they were having and said I should get some if I was hungry. So I decided to give it a try. Just walked up to place and before I could say anything the lady behind the counter already had toothpicks inside different cubes of chicken asking me if I wanted to taste. I decided it tasted decent and I haven’t had rice in a while. It’s pretty cheap $ 5 for a box of food. Wouldn’t be my first, second, third, tenth choice though if I wanted quick Asian food. The lady at the counter was super nice. We chatted it up for a bit; I had no where to go, had to wait for the train. And she seemed like she had a lot to say. I came by around 6:30pm and she had been working there since 8am! Don’t know if she was fishing for more tips, but she got one anyway.

Tucked away in the corner at the Ogilvie train station, Teriyaki Tempura is a good choice for lunch! As mentioned in a previous review, the restaurant was closed for months but because they were remodeling their kitchen — nothing sordid! Their lunch specials do revolve around rice and chicken combinations. My favorite is the Honey Glazed which has a sweet coating, and they add in huge cuts of green peppers which give a nice kick. I’m not gonna lie, the chicken isn’t all white meat, there are some dark /mystery hunks, but overall you can spot them and kick them off your fork. Your options for rice are white or fried, sadly no brown rice. :( The price of the lunch special is normal for the area(between $ 7 and $ 9), but you certainly get a fair amount of food. If there is a long line, don’t fret! It moves quickly! I often am walking away with my order in less than 5 minutes. Lastly, you’re likely visiting this place at lunch which means you need to be hunting down a table the second you walk into the train station. Seriously.
