They barely put any meat in their food. It’s literally only a tortilla they serve with lettuce. The employees were very nice but they need to stop acting like the food is coming out of their personal kitchen. Or management needs to step it up

This Taco Bell has the nicest fast food employees I swear in all of Chicago. They are always super-​friendly and happy and you cannot help but leave with a smile on your face, too. The service even makes up for how subpar Taco Bell’s food has gotten over the years. I have never had an unpleasant experience at this location in regards to the service, only the quality of food. I sincerely hope they are paying their workers well here because they deserve it!

When people declare that Taco Bell is not «real» Mexican food, I agree. Taco Bell is an entity all it’s own, and should be enjoyed for what it is. At 2am, authenticity is low on my priority list.
This Taco Bell happens to be one of the friendliest, and they serve up some TV commercial quality taco bell. The ladies and gents who work here must know the struggle of leaving a drive thru with your food, anticipating the first bite of the classic Burrito Supreme, only to open the wax paper to find the epitome of disappointment and a huge mouthful of sour cream. They must hire folks who love Taco Bell, and want every customer who leaves their drive thru loving it as much as they do.

I mean Taco Bell is Taco Bell I don’t go here expecting authentic Mexican Food so with that in mind, it is just a fast food joint!!!
I wish this one wasn’t just a drive thru or walk up!
When I stop by this one I haven’t had any problems, the customer service is okay but I don’t know how you can shine too much with a bullet proof glass between you and the cashier!
I’m not a fan but when I’m just trying to fill my belly with some kind of substance and the money in the pocket book isn’t really plentiful Taco Bell works for me!

I’ve stopped at this location a couple times over the last 3 years, but I have a problem with the fact that their drive thru is often dirty and full of trash. I also felt the quality of the food went down because they seem to overcharge for things. Most of these fast food places on the south side of Chicago seem to have a problem with staying clean and keeping the restaurant looking tidy. This particular location is located at the intersection of Stony Island and South Chicago Avenue near 79th Street. Another problem is that they have pretty poor standards in terms of how they care for the facility because today for example it was rainy and they had water leaking from above the drive thru that was dripping all down the sides and inside the drive thru window. This was one of those ghetto Taco Bells that needed to be shut down and refurbished to normal people standards where it doesnt look like a dump.

Oh taco bell. how you have saved me many a drunken nights.
Taco bell, in general, is not good food but is one of those standbys for me when I get that craving… and this taco bell is definitely NOT the best one. The only reason I head through that double drive thru (yet I’ve only seen one side open) is because it’s cheap and on the way from my office to my clients’ houses.
The chances of you speaking with a friendly staff member are slim, but it has happened… and they are not even that fast putting together your order. This may be a good thing if they are making each item as you order but who knows.
Thanks S Stoney Island TBell for fillin’ my craving once every other month. I won’t be holding my breath for our next meeting.
