I have to say that I have mixed emotions about this funeral home. The facility was very beautiful. The reception area was clean and provided ample room for guest to sit and grab a cup of coffee or refreshments that we provided. The chapel rooms are also very beautiful and spacious. The children’s area, having only two antique video games was quaint but the games did not work. If your looking for a simple funeral home this is the place for you. With age of technology they are a little behind the time. According to the funeral director the facility has speakers in every room, but still runs on CD ‘s. We were hoping to to utilize the speakers to play some of my mothers favorite songs. We hoped we could use an iPod, MP3 player or smart phones with downloaded playlist but the sound system was not equipped for these devices. They provided a small TV and a DVD player so we could play a montage of pictures we collected of our mother. Also provided, were easels to place the collage of pictures of mother that was created for display. The one point against the facility was the funeral director. I felt I like was dealing with a car salesman. He never really spoke to us. I felt he was always talking down to us. He did help us through the process of a funeral but it was more like everything was a sales pitch. He was a little cold in dealing with us. Maybe if I felt like he was speaking to us as opposed to at us, I would have rated the funeral home a little higher.

This has been a part of my neighborhood for as long as I could remember. It is very antiquated but maintains an air about it that rivals the newest of the funeral homes. With its lime like green façade and the ornate design, I really love the ambiance of this funeral home. It mostly caters to older Czecks in the area, but is slowly changing due to the migration of many other ethnicity’s.

I have to say the owner Johnathan is very compasionate. He is careing and helpful in many ways Our family has used the funeral home on several ocasions. it is a small parlor, however in the back room where you can keep refreshmenst he has a couple of arcade games, that are free of charge to keep your young ones entertained during hard times. I lost my daughter in 06 and it was one of the hardest things to ever do was sit down and disscuse what to do to remember you young child. But step by step Johnathan walked me and my husband threw everything was compassionate and caring the whole way. Anything we needed he was there to help most recent experance was when my gram passed away this year, and we held her wake there as well. Johnathan was there threw the beginning and at the end the young lady who was helping everyone was just as great as he is. My Gram was a HUGE Elvis fan, so we had burned a cd of her favorite songs, to remember her by, well unfortunatly the cd we made did not work. That did not stop Johnathan and the funeral home from going above and beyond to make sure we had a elvis cd playing for her.
